Faculty

This college have 1:70 ratio in theory class but in labs it changes to 1 : 35. Student can directly contact to respective subject faculty regarding any problem related to course.I dont want to disclose any faculty but most of them are in friendly manner with students but some do not meet the expections to me.In this university exam pattern is like Mid Term Examination and Semester End Examination with Internal Assesment in Some subjects wihich dont have labs. The Is not easy and not more difficult but it is in moderate difficulty level so that every student can pass exam easily, but some students can not clear exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am enrolled in program Master of Computer Applications whose yearly fee is 112000 and total fee for the entire course is 224000 including exam fee. Threre will be also deposit the caution money which is two thousand. The registration fee for the every course is 1200 which you have to pay during online application filling. This university offers a wide range of scholarship to the students like merit based scholarship , i also got 15 percent scholarship om the basis of my Graduation marks. This college have also DRCC loan facility to resident of Bihar.

Fees and Financial Aid

I've taken the admission in august 2025. First, They ask for registration fees of 1000rs which all the colleges ask for the same. After that i submit the registration amount of 1000rs after that there is 3000 fees of college kit which includes uniform, begs etc. The total fees is 60,000 apart from the my registration and college kit fess and i got a 10% discount based on my graduation percentage then my fees will be 50,000. There is also a amount of exam fees which submit on online portal of the university website as it is affiliated by aktu(Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow) which is 7500 for 1st year and same for the 2nd year also. If you are a student who have done your graduation in this college then you got a great compensation of fees in this college like my fees is 1,20,000 (total) and other guy who completed his graduation in same college got 90,000 (total).

Faculty

I have choose this course because in my graduation i have choose bca and after that i have interest in programming languages. So i choose this course of mca. In my first day i have talk to a faculty which is really good and helping nature for all the students. I have attend a few classes which is good and teaching way is pretty good. The exams were started from November onwards which is internal after 1 month external starts according to the university Protocol. The Internal difficult level is easy also i can say that if you studied for 2 hours before a week exam starts you can also score some great marks in external also. Main reason is that some faculty are not cooperative in nature if you ask for help simply they say that come in college if the problem is small or big no matter.

Faculty

The college has a good faculty-to-student ratio of about 1:20. Teachers are helpful, approachable, and guide students in studies and projects. Most use practical examples, though a few follow old methods. My best faculty member is our HOD (Prabitra Kumar Dey), who is a genuinely good teacher. The syllabus mixes theory and labs, but some topics need updates. Exams include two internals and one final. Marking is fair, and most students pass. The course is relevant and builds a strong base for future careers.

Campus Life

Campus life is vibrant with annual fests like ZEAL and technical fests like HORIZON in December and January. The library has a wide range of books and journals, and has a facility of group preparation and study in the library. Classrooms have smart boards and projectors. Sports, coding clubs, and cultural societies actively enhance learning and social interaction.

In my Department All staffs are too good and they all very knowledgable persons. Whenever will ask doubt they will clarify Immediately. In lab session we have learnt lot things. They have given lot advised how to be in a life , how to improve our career. Faculty and Student is very friendly. In MCA department All faculties are very sincere persons. I like all staffs in my Department. In my class most of the Student will get pass marks, While taking class itself they will ask questions randomly. Whether we have understood the concept or not. If we did not understand they will explain the answers with real examples. They have conducted many exams to crack our Semester exams. Through that exam most of the students learnt the lessons very easily. We have achieved the exams with the good marks.

Campus Life

My College campus life was golden and memorable moment. I have spent just 2 years in this college. But i learnt lot things from staffs, friends. They all were too friendly. Campus Life

My overall experience with KIIT campus life has been incredibly engaging and vibrant. The enviroment here is multicultural as the student body is a mix of people all over India and more than 65 countries. Major annual festival held here is KIITFEST usually in the month of February for 3 days. It is a huge event with performances, competitions and celebrity guests for concert nights. KIIT has also a great network of student club and societies which plays a huge role for students personal and professional development, usually managed by KIIt Student Activity Centre(KSAC). The infrastructure here is simply top notch with air conditioned and modern classrooms, 24*7 wifi facilities throughout the campus and a well equipped modern central library that offers a vas collection of books and journals.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curiculum offers a well rounded and industry focused education covering core subjects like C,java,C++,python with modern technologies like Machine Learning,Cloud computing etc.The curiculum focuses on practical application with theoretical knowledge to solve real-world problems. This approach helps students to get ready for industry level works. While the curiculum is good,I suggest there should be more focus on elective subjects such as cybersecurity, block chain etc rather than only the foundational knowledge.Semester exams are held at end of each semester with internal and pratical examination done beforehand. The exams are moderately difficult but theteaching methods and resource provided by faculties make it better to get good grades in exams.

While the highest CTC goes up to INR 9-11 LPA.  But JNU is a research-oriented university. If you want excellent placement in the technical field, it will be better to join the top IIT or NIT. Ques. How much does an Indian software engineer earn in the US? What is the scope of an MCA from JNU/NIT in the US?

● Top Answer By Sekhar Juneja on 04 May 22

Ans. In US, Indian software engineers earn around $60k-$80k in entry-level jobs. After 3-5 years of work experience, the salary amount becomes $90k-$130k. For software engineering professionals with around 5-10 years of experience, the salary package is around $130-$200k.  Jobs in the Software industry have little to do with the university you graduated from. The international recruiters look for skills. If you have industry-relevant skills, you will receive good placement opportunities. After doing an MCA you can get jobs in US, if you fulfill the skill requirement. Read more

Ques. Is anyone doing /did MCA from IGNOU while doing a job? How is/was your experience?

● Top Answer By Princeparth Rajpara on 28 Oct 22

Ans. One of my cousins completed an MCA from IGNOU while doing a job. She shared her experience with me. I have summarised it in points for better understanding: The Degree Certificate of IGNOU MCA will enable you to appear for an interview  There are regular classes on weekends. But these classes are only on paper so you can skip them. Students will have to approach self-study only Projects are only formalities and have no real value Institutes that run the MCA IGNOU program offer no help when it comes to getting a job. There is no value of IGNOU MCA in Infosys, TCS, Wipro, etc Apart from this various advertisements in newspapers specifically mention that IGNOU candidates will not be able to apply. So I will not recommend that you complete an MCA from IGNOU.Read more

Ques. Is it worth it to study MCA from a private university called Kalinga University Raipur Chattisgarh for job in companies like Infosys and so many others? Do they prefer private uni student?

● Top Answer By Rina Majumder, on 28 Oct 21

Ans. Kalinga University (KU) is one of the newly established universities in Chhattisgarh. When KU is compared with other newly established universities, it has proven to have a better growth rate than others. It provides good infrastructure and an environment appropriate for education. They also provide students with enough opportunities. Extracurricular activities are given proper importance and recognition.  The faculty members are highly experienced.  The subjects commerce and management, IT, and Law in KU are considered to be superior to the others. For engineering aspirants, KU is a growing institution as its labs are still under development. For jobs and placements, you really have to present your talent and skills. Try being an active participant in all the activities. Study hard, groom yourself and start preparing yourself for the placement from day one, as building up yourself step by step will take time.Read more
