Course Details
PES University offers a full-time MCA program of 3-year duration at the PG level. The MCA program is a 3-year course divided into six semesters each of six months duration consisting of theoretical and practical examinations. Students must qualify both the written and practical examinations for clearing individual semester examinations.
Latest Update: PES University has released the application form for PESSAT exam for MCA program. The application form can be filled online through the official website of the University along with the application fee of INR 1050 (INR 550 for NH Campus Courses).

Admission to MCA course in this university is strictly based on scores secured in PESSAT/ PGCET entrance examination. The exam pattern includes a total number of questions, marks distribution, marking scheme, and other related details about the exam.
- The exam which is conducted in online mode is of 3 hours duration comprising Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English papers.

Ques. Can I opt for a PES University MCA course directly without appearing for the PESSAT entrance examination?
Ans. Admission into MCA course is based on performance in PESSAT entrance or PGCET entrance conducted by the Govt of Karnataka. Every year the university conducts national wide entrance examination (PESSAT) for admission into MCA course during August which is followed by counselling. The university does not encourage direct admission into any of such courses.
Ques. Does the institute offer any scholarship for admission into the PES University MCA program?
Ans. PES University offers scholarships to meritorious students. Selection of students for the scholarship scheme is based on creativity, ability to work and score in exams and passion towards science. Best science student scholarship is named as PESSAT Scholarships. There are many scholarships in which the top 15% of the students get an 80% fee wave. Students must maintain a high CGPA to get such a scholarship.

Ans. The university has a maximum capacity of 60 for admission into MCA program. Though the intake capacity is more or less fixed, depending on prevailing economic instability and market condition the intake capacity is likely to increase in due course.

- College is more focused on academics. College have all the facilities but focus is only academics.
- College is so biased for some courses. For some courses they doesn't bother much.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Fee structure of college is like 500000 for complete MCA course. As MCA is 2 year course you have to 250000 yearly. College also provide scholarships to students. If you are in top 20% of your batch you will get CNR scholarship ie 60% of semester fee . If you are in top 40% of your batch you will get MRD scholarship ie 40% of semester fee. If your sgpa is more than 7.75 you will get 1000 rupee.

- The Faculties in the college are very friendly and supportive they will try their best help you make things understand
- The college atmosphere is very friendly to students and they can adapt very quickly to the environment
Dislikes
- The strength is too high and that's the disadvantage for placments
- Due to recession there less placements this year

The fee for management through PESSAT for MCA is 250000 and through pgcet it is 120000 The college provides scholorship for 25% top students they will get 20% of thier fees back. The college provides placements from top MNCs and which will help studnets to get placed for a good salary package

- I really appreciate PES university for its hold on its academic factors, being strict about its academics might be uncomfortable to students but it’s for their own good in the future
- Coming about infrastructure, PESU has the best infrastructure in the whole bangalore, especially university has provided everything a student needs for his or her studying, library is open till 8 am to 9 pm which helps students study timelessly.
Dislikes
- One of the things I dislike about PESU is their strictness in their academics, they go deep into the subject they teach, this makes it difficult for students to understand everything that teachers teach.
- Another thing i dislike about PESU is their fees structure, it could have been a bit lesser for MCA.
Fees and Financial Aid:
For PESSAT batch the total fees for MCA in PESU is 5 lakhs, which reasonable considering other colleges fees structure, and for the PGCET batch the total fees including the college fees and govt fees is 3 lakhs. Fees structure is fixed and no hike is done, regulations are strict for fees structure. There are many scholarships available from the university like MRD scholarship which refunds 50 percent the fees this is provided to top 5 students who secure CGPA above 9, CNR scholarship which refunds 40 percent of the fees, this is given to top 20 percent students who secure more than 7 CGPA, scholarships are given irrespective of cast, religion and any other facts. Due to being in first sem we I have not undertaken any responsibilities as of now but I will in the future.

- Academics and intelligence is at excellent level.
Dislikes
- A few faculty members whonare new and inexperienced are kept to start thier working.
- This leads to a difficulty to students to adapt the new faculty and grasp things accordingly.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The complete cost of education is around 8 lakhs wherein 5 lakhs is for the course and other services include the rest amount .there are no compulsory charges at all 5lakhs 10 thousand is the total for this course. There is MRD scholarship given to tudents excelling in academics.

- The number of canteens are many, thanks to which we can always get good food.
Dislikes
- The college is centred around BTech and BBA, and we don't get that many opportunities
- Our department is all locked up in one building, so we don't get any interaction with others.

The college provides multiple opportunities to get scholarship. The fee has always been same, for a long time. The University provides two scholarships, MRD and CNR. These scholarships give back 40% and 50% of the fees back.

Government scholarship was offered to students but due to caste I didn't get it. Collage was offering internship kind of program where 2 students per class are eligible to work under faculty. They were giving Rs. 1000 per month which was some what helpful for students.
