PES University Bangalore Placement 2025: Highest Package, Average Package, Top Recruiters

In conclusion, PESIT south campus is the better option if you are looking for academics. Otherwise, DSCE will be great.

PES University is one of the oldest, and reputed engineering colleges in India. As per the recent records by OUTLOOK India-ICARE Rankings, PES stands at 6th position. PES offers more than 25 specialized courses in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. It has a good international academic partnership with Aberdeen University and the Taylors University Of Malaysia. PES has maintained a decent placement record over the years.

Placement Highlights 2019:

• In the recent placement process, more than 50 companies visited the college and 851 job offers were made.

• 11 students received their dream job offer from Microsoft(star recruiter).

• Aerospace companies are in demand for every student who opts for core branches like mechanical and civil in their career.

• The University’s training and placement cell categorize the companies as Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 keeping in view the annual package offered by them, i.e. Tier 1: more than 8 LPA, Tier 2: 4 to 8 LPA, and Tier 3: less than 4 LPA.

• The highest package was offered by Atlassian that is 48 LPA and the median salary was INR 7 LPA.

• Major recruiting companies are from software, civil, architecture, aerospace. Top recruiting companies include Ashok Leyland, Wipro, Infosys, Cisco, Bosch, HCL.

• The university has a strong alumni network that helps students to get placed in various companies, both national and international.

Placement trends:

With each passing year, the number of companies visited and the number of students getting selected is increasing. All the placement process is possible for the placement and training cell.

The university provides pre-placement training to its students before they appear for the campus interview. To have a real-life experience, students are taken for an industrial visit in their final year. Students are eligible for the placement process if they have 60% aggregate from 10th to BTech grade.

PES has the best placement percentage across all branches. If we talk about aerospace companies that select students from core branches, do visit the university. It solely depends on the student to work hard and get a dream company of their choice.

PES University was ranked as the 6th best private university out of 50 universities in India by outlook in 2019. It is also ranked 93 for private engineering by NIRF 2020. The college is recognized by UGC, AICTE, and AACSB. It is one of the top private universities in Bangalore. The high rankings of the college don’t show the poor placements which the college has offered in the past year.

Placements:

• As compared to the previous years, the placements offered at PES University in core companies are fewer in number for the academic year 2019.

• Companies visit the college, but many of the students opting for higher students opt-out for the placements. Making the placement percentage high because of the fewer students present at the placement.

• There were a number of companies that recruited students. But in recent years the placement of the college in the Civil Engineering course has not been up the mark as promised by the college.

However, if you have a keen interest in Civil engineering, then you should not change their branch. Placements are not the only thing that needs to be focused on. Changing the branch will also not make any much difference as both the courses EEE and Civil Engineering provide more or less the same average package that is Rs 3-4 LPA. However, keep in mind that in recent times, there are also other colleges that are not able to fulfill the promised core placements for Civil.

Although Civil Engineering has poor core placements, there are many non-core companies which allow the students of Civil to sit for the placement. The average CTC offered by the non-core IT companies visiting the campus for the placement drive is 10 LPA.

Therefore, a student should keep in mind all the factors when changing a branch and not solely look at placements.

• However, the college managed to give around 85% of placements with the highest salary which was offered was Rs 48 LPA and the lowest salary which was offered was Rs 4 LPA.

• The top recruiters that came to college included Deloitte, Amazon, JP Morgan, LinkedIn, Flipkart, Tech Mahindra, Mercedes Benz, Cleartrip, Intel, etc.

Although the core placement is not that impressive for Civil Engineering at PES University, students get decent placement offers from non-core sectors. There are many software companies visiting the campus that recruit Civil Engineering students. The placement packages offered by the non-core companies like IT are generally higher than the average CTC offered by the core companies. The average CTC offered by the IT/Software companies is 10 LPA. Many students also choose to opt for higher education instead of taking any placement offers.
