i'm in ICE NIT Trichy. For general category the fees is 1.4 - 1.5 L per year including tuition, mess and hostel fees. First year had extra charges like admission, registration & caution deposit. SC/St students pay only hostel and mess fees around 40-50k per year. for the 4 yrs it is around 6-6.5 for general category. Fees rise slightly each year.

The course often do not make sense and as a personal development course there's only an english course, lack of other language course in first year is something i disliked

Fees and Financial Aid:

the normal fee structure for a student without any sort of remission is 2.75 lakh for 1st year and this includes tution fees, hostel fees, institute fee, internet fee, medical fee, etc. the tution fee for first year is 125000 (62500 per semester) and the hostel fee for first year is around 1lakh(for first sem it's 53000 and for second semester it's around 48000.the hostel fee for consecutive semester decreases). for ews student you get remission but the remission amount depends on your ews category for e.g, for below 1 lakh the remission amount is 62500 meaning you don't have to pay tution fee but you still have to pay the the rest amount like hostel fee, internet fee, computer lab, medical fee, etc the amount comes down to 150,950(this includes hostel fee). for ews category greater than 1lakh but lesser than 5lakh then per semester you get a remission of 66% meaning 41,834, so the amount payable is around 20,666 meaning per semester you have to pay 1.91 lakh(including hostel fee and other fee) and for above 5lakh but below 8lakh you get no remission whatsoever. There are many types of scholarship available for students like NSP,airtel scholarship(but this is for circuital branches and cse only),there are many other scholarships. the fee structure for sc/st category is same as ews below 1lakh. Overall the course is quite afordability

Tuition fees 64000 per semester and first they take 120000 and they take 57100 for hostel and mess and for ews they have fee remmision that is the 2/3 of the tution fee is deducted for open ews and after that tuition fees is 22000

NIT TRICHY- COLLEGE REVIEW

At NIT Tichy, the one time fees i paid was 26,500 at the time of admission and a tution fees of 62500 per semester there are various financial aids available like nsp scholaship and income based fee remission for example the students with family income less than 5lpa they pay around 33% of the tution fees and with students with family income of less than 1lpa they pay 0 tution fees moreover for categories like sc,st and pwd the tution fees is 0 irrespective of the family income the hostel and mess fees combined keeps on changing year by year this year i paid around 48,500 for this odd semester last year i paid around 90,000 for the enitre year which has all the hostel and mess charges most of my batchmates are availiing this income based fee remmision in which they are paying either 0 or 33%(20,666) tutuion fees which is very beneficial for them. Some of the studens are also on scholarship like the nsp scholarship or the scholapship provided by airtel or their state scholarship some of them are studying on loans as well. Every odd semester they take the charges of development fees, lab fees and the other compulsory fees which adds upto 25000 along the 62500 tution fees so the 25000 fees every student has to pay irrespective of the caste or income.

When it comes to choosing the best option among these three, I would suggest that you choose NIT Trichy. The reputation of NIT Trichy as one of the best NITs is by far one of the driving forces of students choosing this institution. The CSE department of NIT Trichy has a curriculum that has been developed to meet the industry needs of the students. You will get to learn multiple programming languages as well as be able to use them on multiple projects. You will be encouraged to develop new software. There are instances where students become entrepreneurs on the campus and pitch their projects and software to investors.

NIT Trichy fees vary with your course and category. Here is the fee structure for B.Tech 2023 admission batch (Open category) at NIT Trichy:

However, if you find yourself gravitating towards chemicals, chemistry, and how chemicals interact, then you should opt for Chemical engineering. When it comes to choosing the institutes, NIT Trichy is better than NIT Srinagar in all aspects. NIT Trichy is the best among all the NITs. It is known for its wonderful faculty and the campus life that it gives to the students. The chemical engineering department of NIT Trichy is also one of every eBay and reputed. One of my friends had been a student of NIT Trichy, pursuing B.Tech. Let me share what I gathered from him and some reviews online.

The excellence of the courses may vary in each semester, but according to my friend, there are a few courses that are never out of standard.
Based on their learning opportunities, infrastructure available, extra-curricular/technical club opportunities, and internships and placements, these are some of the undergraduate courses that are considered best.
The courses include -
- Computer Science and Engineering,
- Electronics and Communication Engineering,
- Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and
- Electronics Engineering is considered better.
Keep in mind that you should always take the courses that are interesting to you.
Thus, if these courses don’t intrigue you, you can go for other courses as they will be better for you if you are interested in them.

Many students have gotten to know about their field of interest while studying in college. Hence, give some time to figure it out and then make a decision, as this will shape your career further.

What is the fee structure for the BCA course if I attend offline (regular) classes?

NIT Trichy currently does not offer a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) course as part of its regular full-time course curriculum. NITs, including NIT Trichy, are renowned for B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and Ph.D. courses.

The fees can be filled in instalments or yearly. If you belong to reserved category such as OBC NCL, and your family income is less than 1 lac, then you can full remission of tuition fee. But if your family income is between 1 lac to 5 lacs, then you can get two third fee remission of tuition fees.

If any student wants to withdraw his admission, then he or she needs to fill in the admission cancellation/ discontinuing procedure, then have to submit the required form to the fee section for the refund of admission fee along with any other institute and library deposits.

To be eligible to take the NIMCET examination, you must have a B.Sc or BCA or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized univesity with at least 60% marks in aggregate. You cannot take this examination after passing Class XII examination.
