Faculty to student ratio is 5. Each student gets a senior mentor and a faculty mentor who helps in all the issues mentally and financially. They are very approachable and understanding. Except a few profs who have better interests in mind. For chem engg., there are 2 class tests, one assignment and one final per sem per subject. No averaging of grades, all inputs directly counted to the finals. The course is actually pretty relevant to what we are gonna work with in the future.

The faculty a very open to helping students outside class hours as well and offer to help on solving doubts when needed, the course curriculum is standard and has everything required to understand the subject. the examination system is of 3 rounds of evaluation, Two periodic cycle tests and one end semester examination in the end, end semesters hold 50% weightage for passing

The faculry to student ratio is up to the mark and some faculties that i have experianced are having a superb standard . The faculty to student relationship is also super and student can go to that faculty's cabin and can meet and discuss doubts Total there are 8 end sem. And the official pattern i in a semister there are two ct/cycle tests and then end sem and also in between there is assignments too The exams are of higher standard levels . Some exams are of hard levels too. It is very relevent to course outcome and also practical basd.

faculty to student ratio is around 1:30 some faculties are very good in terms of examination grading and class behaviour whereas some other faculties are completely rogue in terms of everything. They wouldn't listen to what students have to say. Exam scenario depends on the professors but the most common method is 2 cycle tests, 1 assignment and 1 end semester exam

The faculty-to-student ratio is for one class of one subject having one specific teacher for all the branches no other co relation with the other department or branches. 2 cycle test and 1 end sem exams are there for one semester.

There are around 50+ faculty in our department which take various labs and programe electives and open electives. The faculty in MME department are considered the best and very understanding faculties. I like Nagrajan sir the most since he is very understanding and very much honest and do promote hardwork. Some faculties do not really check if their students are learning anything or not. I can't take their name for privacy concerns. Typically there 2 types one is 2 CTs and 1 end sem exam or take 1 mid sem exam then end sem exam. Project based exam are also their. These exams are very easy to clear in my opinion.

I feel Dr. Raghavan from the ECE department deserves to be in the list of best professors at NIT Trichy. His teaching, question paper setting, and grading are on par with global standards.
Sir emphasizes on course projects, something unique to his teaching. He focuses on the big picture, instead of petty details. He never tests derivations straight off a book. His exams aren’t lengthy, rather they require logical thinking. He conducts pseudo open book exams. His methods especially stand out because usually question papers are unnecessarily lengthy, classroom lectures are simply textual recitations, and exam problems are straight out of textbook. Sir has an exceptional knowledge of his field, and his lectures are a delight for learners.
The best part is that sir always ends his lectures 5 minutes early.
No, it's not true that professors in NIT Trichy, Calicut, and other South Indian schools teach in Malayalam or other regional languages. Most of the teachers are proficient in English and classes are conducted in that medium only. Occasionally some professors out of habit may speak a word or two in their regional language but it is not a requirement or the norm.
The official medium of instruction in these institutions is typically English. However, it's possible that, in some cases, professors may use regional languages as a teaching aid to help students understand complex technical concepts better.
The Chemical Engineering branch at NIT Trichy offers a multifaceted course and that’s what made my friend choose it. NIT Trichy has a well-organized syllabus that ensures maximum understanding of the concepts. I will be addressing the topics you mentioned in the question individually.

Overall, the chemical engineering department is a highly regarded branch and will be a great choice for those looking for an interdisciplinary course.
I must tell you that the faculty of all NITs is quite similar.
You might be disappointed at the faculty of NIT Trichy or any other top engineering college. This is because the bar of your expectations will be high after clearing such a competitive exam. But don’t worry, you’ll really like some of the teachers from the Instrumentation and Control department. You’ll want to attend their lectures.
Make sure to have friendly relations with your seniors. They will tell you a lot about the different faculty members. Moreover, be consistent in your self study routine and take help from online resources. Don’t expect the faculty to spoon feed you.
