VIT offers placement to all students who have registered for the placement process. VIT offers regular, dream, super-dream and restricted offers along with a couple of marquee offers. All kinds of companies visit year-round for placements (startups, MNCs, the big 4 consulting companies, IT giants, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Siemens, Schenider, Texas Instruments, Blackrock etc.) For my batch around 750-800 companies have already visited and provided offers for the students. The library has a vast number of books on all fields and the availability of particular books can be tracked through the college portal. Students can use the library and even after the hostel in-time students can access the night library till late at night. The drawback is that it does not have a 24-hour open policy, but that is also keeping the students' safety in mind. All classrooms have smartboards where faculties can present their lectures and there are a huge number of labs with state-of-the-art equipments. Basketball courts, badminton courts, gymnasiums (both free and paid), a swimming pool, as well as volleyball courts are open to the students. - VIT has a huge crowd of up to 30000 + students for all the four years of BTech
- Which makes the competition very high inside the institute in terms of Academics and other co curricular activities

Course Curriculum Overview
In VIT below the course and the completion of the degree you should hold minimum 160 credits you can earn these credits by completing all the courses which comes under your program. There are mainly four divisions in which you have to earn the credits first is University core which has around 15 to 20 compulsory subjects that you have to do second as program core which includes up to 25 mandatory courses which you have to compulsory do third is University elective it has more than 100 subjects to choose from but you have to do minimum subjects by which you can full fill your credit for this category and lastly you have program elective which also have around 30 to 40 subject which you can choose from to complete your minimum credits required for this particular type
Internships Opportunities
The internship I got from the college was offered to me by one of the startup switches inside the VIT this startup is waded by the VIT entrepreneurship cell and is also one of the sort of which went to Shark Tank that don't start up how is the part of the team.

To placements in VIT are very good as I spoke in the previous section that as many as 95% of the students who admit for the placement cell secure the job. No talking about in detail so when I was in my fortune of the college they were more than 720 companies which visited the college that particular year. The companies fall under three categories which is regular placement dream offer super dream offer. The price range the or the salary provided by the regular offer is up to file act the salary provided by the dream company offers is up to 8 lakh and lastly the super dream companies which come to the college offers a placement more than 8 lakh up to the upper limit. Fees and Financial Aid
In VIT there are totally five categories of fee structure that you will get when you will go for college admission. Category one fees is 195000, category 2 is 240000, category 3 320000, Category 4 pieces 400000, and category 5 is 490000. This is the yearly fees offered by the college for the courses like BTech Mtech and for other courses like BBA or BSc the fees is less than 50000 per category. These categories are offered to the students on the basis of their rank in VIT examination. The college also provides the scholarship opportunities to the students who have scored rank 1 to 100. The students get the scholarship UP to 80% of their fees. And students from rank 200 to 500 get the scholarship of 50% and lastly students from 500 to 1000 rank get the scholarship of 20% on the yearly tution fee.
Campus Life
Oral experience in campus is very good as the campus is very big to explore and the students from all over India come to this Institute so you will be seeing a lot of diversity inside the campus you will be able to interact with the people from as far as Jammu Kashmir to Kanyakumari and few people from Northeast as well. There are also students from abroad which came to VIT Vellore for the studies. The overall campus is very good it's very happening you can also take part in the clubs in chapters which will also who is your koker regular activities which will also develop skills.
Hostel Facilities
All the four years I opted the hostel facility from the college itself. There are mainly AC and non AC options both the available for your one bed two bed three bed for bed 6 bed 8 bed sharing room options for both boys and girls. There are as many as 26 boys hostel currently running and to new buildings are in under construction and for girls there are 8 girls hostel and one building and construction
Faculty
Talking about the faculties of VIT first of all faculty to student ratio in VIT is 1:11. The faculties are mostly PhD holders who are the teachers the professors in the university majority of the faculties are very supportive to the students and they address the doubts of the students very politely and they have the good command of their subjects. There are few faculties in the campus who are partial to the South Indian students as the VIT Vellore is in South Indian Institute if you speak their language then you will get some advantage from the faculties. But it is not like that the students from north India are neglected they are also considered but South Indian students get more advantage. So in VIT if I talk about semester in one semester there are mainly three examinations the first is CAT 1 which stands for Continuous Assessment Test the second is CAT 2, these both examinations are of 50 marks each but the weightage for the final grading system they hold 15-15 mark each. Lastly the final exam of the semester is called as fat with stands for final assessment test it has the weightage of 40 mark for grading but the paper is of 100 marks. Apart from these examinations a student has to Summit 3 assignments for semester for subject which has a weightage of 30 marks for grading.
Admission
The reason why I choose this colleges first for I got the ranking 5340. Which was for me the best rank for all the other competitive exam which I give. Secondly the reason I choose VIT Vellore is that the infrastructure is very good and talking about the placement the college has a placement record of up to 95% of the students who apply for placement cell get their placements done apart from this the institute also give the opportunity to the students to do the internship inside the campus only because they have more than 20 30 start of running inside the VIT which are powered by the entrepreneurship salary

- Things I like in vit is its main facility called FFCS (fully flexible credit system) allows students to opt their own intrested faculty and subjects
- Campus has large amount of trees which is more cooler in summer and it have best spots to chill with friends during free period

*First I applied for SRM Chennai campus but I came to know that the hostels in srm are not good . *I didn't get any rejections from the colleges I applied. *The admission process in vit is quite normal like others , after applying for Vit by 1000 fee, You need write an entrance exam called VITEEE which will be conducted only once. After results you need to sit in councelling which costs 6000 for applying counselling. In councelling you need to choose the desired college and course to get degree.

- The academic block and men's hostel have a railway track chennai bangalore main line. There are only four tunnel to cross the tracks these are at particular point . So personallly I am not liking it

I applied for IIT'S as I am preparing for JEE ADV and unfortunately I didn't cleared that so i chooses this college . I chose this as in private colleges VIT has a very good reputation. I get rejection from JEE ADV as I didn't cleared the exam For VIT there is a exam VITEEE in which Maths physics chemistry aptitude and english comes behalf on our rank we get the VIT campus and the branch which we want to pursue the exam is of 125 marks and if you score 90+ you will get rank under 1000 rank

I chose the Bhopal campus cuz I got the VITEEE rank 37k which was not as good for taking admission in vellore or chennai campus. The college that i applied and selected was KIIT Bhubaneswar in course BTech CSE: AI&ML but it was over crowded as well as fees there was very high as compared to this college. The process for taking admission in this college is via VITEEE examination and according to rank filling the campus out of 4 which you're elegible eith the category.

- The campus has a lot of food stall starting from Dominos , Lassi house Nescafe etc to cover up your hunger

- The number of students in the campus are huge. Almost 40,000 students are in campus. 8000 students in each year can cause a huge problem in the time of placements
- We have to travel 2 km from hostel to academic building everyday , almost 10 km in a day

I choose this college because I was unable to crack JEE Advance. VIT was my 2nd option. IITs and top NITs are my target from 10+2 but due to lack of concentration I could not make it. Jadavpur University was also my choise but I was getting very lower branch so I had to reject it. But after all I choose VIT over the other private institute because it gives exposure. I get to knbow a lot of people from different culture and communities. It builds my networking strong and give me a different direction to think

Which is better, VIT Vellore, Thapar Patiala or SRM?
Although all three of these colleges are well-renowned for their engineering courses, there are certain factors that particularly interested me to opt for VIT Vellore. I am currently pursuing B.Tech CSE at VIT.
- VIT Vellore ranks excellently in the NIRF Engineering rankings, even better than the other two colleges mentioned by you. In the 2023 NIRF engineering rankings, VIT Vellore ranked 11th.
- VIT Vellore is located near Chennai and Bangalore. This allows the students of VIT to gain the much needed exposure which allows them to grab good career opportunities after their graduation.
- Academically, both VIT and Thapar are equally placed. VIT offers good academic opportunities, but the North Indian might face some cultural shock.
- In terms of faculty, Thapar has an advantage. But even VIT has some really good teachers.
These factors made me interested in joining VIT Vellore. I would suggest you consider VIT for your BTech as it offers good infrastructure and ample opportunities.
Which is better: VIT Vellore or BIT Sindri?
I am a B.Tech CSE student at VIT Vellore, while my elder brother studies at BIT Sindri. Therefore, I can offer a more unbiased insight into why I chose VIT Vellore for my engineering studies-
- Infrastructure- Both the institutions have a huge campus, but in terms of infrastructure, VIT Vellore is better. Its labs are modern and well equipped, whereas BIT’s labs are old and require maintenance.
- Placements- VIT delivers better packages. Moreover, it is a better choice for IT placements. On the other hand, BIT Sindri delivers better core placements with companies like Tata Steel, Tata Hitachi and JSW visiting the departments for recruitments.
- Exposure- VIT offers really good exposure to its students in the form of internships, student exchange programs and training. At BIT Sindri, internship offers are a rare phenomenon. Tata Steel does offer PPOs to BIT students.
- Faculty- The faculty at VIT is more experienced and qualified.
The yearly B.Tech course fee at VIT Vellore is approx. INR 2 lakhs, while that in BIT Sindri is approx. INR 20,000. But VIT offers much better infrastructural facilities and exposure to make up for the huge fee difference.
Due to these reasons, my brother suggested that I pursue my B.Tech CSE at VIT Vellore instead of BIT Sindri.

As a student of VIT Vellore, I find myself eligible to only comment on my college.
VIT Vellore is a private college with top class infrastructure and other facilities. It is ranked highly in the NIRF 2023 engineering rankings, at 11th position. The infrastructure of VIT is top notch, with well equipped and modern laboratories.
VIT offers really good IT placements, and the college faculty is highly qualified and experienced. The students at VIT are given plenty of opportunities in the form of internships, student exchange programs, and training offers.
Apart from all these pros of joining VIT, the con is that its fees are quite high. The fee structure is divided into several categories, and is different for each engineering branch. But the minimum academic fee is approx. INR 2 lakh for the first year (excluding hostel and mess charges).

Despite its high fees, VIT offers good infrastructure, faculty, academics, extracurriculars, placements, and brand name. This is why, I would recommend you consider VIT Vellore for your engineering studies.
How and why is IIIT Vadodara better than VIT Vellore?
The IITs, NITs and IIITs have a certain brand name attached to them which makes students feel that other engineering colleges might be inferior to them. However, this may not always be the case.
VIT Vellore is a reputed private institution, and it is better than IIIT Vadodara in many aspects-
- VIT Vellore offers a greater variety of courses to choose from as compared to IIIT Vadodara.
- Infact, VIT offers specialization courses in various engineering branches.
- VIT Vellore was established much prior to IIIT Vadodara, which is why it has a much stronger industry reputation and alumni network.
- VIT Vellore is ranked 11th in the NIRF Engineering 2023 rankings, while IIIT Vadodara does not make it into the top 100 list.
- VIT has a rich extracurricular culture. The campus regularly organizes sports events, makeathons, hackathons, designing events, cultural events etc.
- Some of the VIT faculty members are ex-IITians.
- VIT is a private institution and has top class infrastructure facilities.
These are some reasons why I feel VIT Vellore is much better than IIIT Vadodara. Both the colleges will offer you good learning, but the exposure and opportunities provided by VIT Vellore are unparalleled.
Should I prefer MAIT or VIT Vellore for an IT branch?
I am a student of B.Tech IT at VIT Vellore. According to me, VIT Vellore is a better option for IT as compared to MAIT because of the following reasons-
VIT Vellore offers top class infrastructure and opportunities for its students. The campus is visited by top recruiting companies each year because of which IT placements are quite good for VIT. These companies offer good packages to students during placements. The college offers ample exposure to IT students in the form of internship offers, training offers, and student exchange programs. The IT companies that visit VIT Vellore for placements are- TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Cognizant, among others.
Thus, I would recommend you join VIT Vellore for B.Tech IT instead of MAIT.
Which is better, VIT Vellore or Manipal University?
I am a student at VIT Vellore, so I can only comment on my college. Here are some reasons why I chose VIT Vellore for my engineering degree-
- Academics- VIT Vellore follows FFCS (Fully Flexible Credit System) for academics. As the name suggests, this system of education is very flexible as one gets to choose one’s subjects and faculty based on the opinion gathered from friends and seniors. One can either take morning lectures or evening lectures as per one’s choice.
- Extracurricular- There is always some activity going on in the VIT campus at all times. There are multiple clubs at VIT Vellore, and one can become a member of any of them.
- Campus Life- The campus life of VIT is full of fun experiences. Apart from the flexible academic system, one gets to live in a campus that is simply beautiful. Other than that, every six months the university organizes tech and cultural fests. I have been a part of Gravitas and Riviera, and both of them offered extraordinary experiences.
- Placements- As for engineering placements, a lot of companies visit the VIT Vellore campus for recruitments. Then there are several IT companies that intake candidates from all engineering branches at VIT Vellore. These are- Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, and TCS. Apart from job placements, VIT Vellore gives deserving students an opportunity of foreign internships.
These reasons are enough to explain why I preferred VIT Vellore for my engineering studies. I would recommend you consider VIT as it has a lot of opportunities and facilities to offer.
