Eligibility Criteria
- A pass with minimum overall aggregate of 70% with Mathematics / Business Mathematics & Statistics / Applied Mathematics as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination mentioned above.
- In case of applicants belonging to SC/ST community or applicants hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, 10% relaxation is provided as per the condition, in the qualifying examination.

The final examination of 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi) or Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized board/university or its equivalent examination.

The Thirst semester sees a slight increase, with a fee of 66000 INR.

- Firstly I like the campus’s architecture and all the hangout spots inside vit
- Second I like how students from different parts of the world socialise and interact and engage so vibrantly.
Dislikes
- I don’t like how the student and faculty ratio is 60-40
- I also feel that since 30000 plus students study here , individuality is less.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The total tution fees structure and scholarships differ for each program. It ranges from 1.2 lakhs to 15 lakhs depending on the course and duration. Example for my course BCA- 1.6 lakh and for MCA - 2.7 lakh. VIT also offered various scholarships like , VITEEE scholarship, Merit awards and more.
Likes
- The first thing that impressed me in my college is the campus and its environment. VIT had one of the best campus atmosphere with many really good architecture and vibrant facilities.
- The second thing is the the amount of clubs and chapters available for students to participate. The college always looks so engaging so that every student can show their own talent and excel in it.
Dislikes
- The amount of students in the university still scares me , there are 30000 plus students studying in vit vellore alone which I feel will make the hidden talents of many stay hidden.
- The faculty and student ratio also is bad. Which leads to larger class sizes which again affect the personalised attention to each and every student.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee structure of the course I am currently doing at VIT vellore is BCA( bachelor's in computer applications) , it follows a consistent pattern for the first two years , with the slight increase in the final year. First two years , ?60000 (Tuition fees, development fees, lab fees, etc) . Final year, ?65000(additional graduation and certification fee) . VIT also offers scholarships on merit and need . One prominent scholarship is the Merit-cum-need scholarship , which provides financial aid to students with high academic scores.

- I like the infrastructure of my collage.
- The facilities it provides here is incredible.
Dislikes
- There is no campus like ,very strict inside the campus.
- Hostelers have in time and out time to go outside.

The year wise fee is 57000.This include 2000 which was the caution deposit. The registration fee was 600.All the students have same fees structure. The hostel fee was around 1,54000.Apart from it I also had caution deposit for hostel which was 15000.

Bca fees is 55000 for each yr Which is affordable , good teaching with experienced faculties, youll get great exposure here by interacting with diverse people from different part of the country and the world
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose BCA course for its emphasis on programming, software development, and foundational IT concepts. The curriculum prepares well for IT careers but needs more hands-on projects. Exams are frequent with varying difficulty.

- The ffcs system which vit provide is very effective…we can choose the class timings
Dislikes
- Vit have a security system called “red tag” / the discipline committe
- Too Overcrowded hostels ,couldn’t even stay there peacefully

In first year i paid a tution fee of 55000 + Rs2000 for caution fee and In the hostel i paid an an amount of Rs 115000 + Rs 15000 for caution fee (4 Non-AC ,Non-Veg) Then each year you have to pay the fees by the starting of the year For Bsc computer science its almost same as BCA...

BCA and many of the other 3 year courses have an annual fee of somewhere around 50-60k inr. However the hostel, even though convenient is somewhat expensive as it comes to around 2-3 times the tuition cost.
