At NIT Trichy, scholarships and financial aid are primarily based on family income, category, and academic performance. Students whose family income is less than Rs. 1 lakh receive a full tuition fee waiver, while those with an income between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh get a 66% fee remission. SC/ST students enjoy full tuition fee exemptions.
The tuition fee per semester is approximately Rs. 62,500, with hostel and mess fees around Rs. 40,000. Various scholarships, such as the Jiteshraj Scholarship and those offered by alumni and government, are available for meritorious and economically disadvantaged students. Education loans, notably from the SBI branch on campus, are easily accessible and come with favorable terms.
The institution's fees are considered affordable, given its reputation and job placement opportunities, which often negate the need for scholarships.

NIT Trichy does not have any scholarship facilities for all MCA students who have got admission through NIMCET. However, the reserved minority students can apply for merit/ need based scholarship in pursuing MCA. There are loan facilities available in the campus which unreserved category students can take for pursuing MCA.
