BTech ECE: What is it About?

BTech ECE is a four year undergraduate program in Electronics and Communication Engineering consisting of eight semesters.

  • It focuses on concepts and designs of underlying hardware systems which are used in areas such as telecommunication, energy and electronic sectors.
  • It is based on research, design, development and testing of electronics in various systems.
  • The core topics include an understanding of analog transmission, basic electronics, solid state devices, microprocessors, digital and analog communication, analog integrated circuits, satellite communication, microwave engineering, antennae and wave progression.
  • Course Structure of BTech ECE is an introductory course for electrical engineering students where students study a series of core courses along with elective subjects which cover the concepts of telecommunications, energy and electronics sectors.
  • The delivery method includes an integrated study of topics through classroom lectures, practical, laboratory works, workshops, research programs and internships.
  • The course is intended to impart knowledge of principles underlying communication systems.
  • The course covers all the arenas of all electrical and communication study educating students with different topics like Integrated Electronics, fields and waves etc.

Why BTech ECE?

BTech ECE equips students with the key competencies required to excel in long-term career goals.

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the streams where you adapt practically pretty much all the concepts of science.
  • It is among the few other streams that gives you this diverse yet paltry information on all the fields.
  • Creation of specialised networking systems and equipment called value added services. Call diversion, video conferencing to bind people all over the world.
  • Candidates expecting their shortcoming is in learning the programming dialects or lean toward a no coding stream, would by and large be taking this stream, not to overlook them, winding up in a product firm and turning into an engineer.
  • Also, people who aren't so secure with which field to seek after their profession would pick this, since they have a choice of picking either the product or the equipment side.
  • After graduation, an EC engineer is qualified to work in either core electronics job as well as a Contact Service Provider or Vendor Job.

Faculty

Experienced teachers with good subject knowledge and I like sujatha mam from ECE department as she explains the topic very practically. there will be 8 semesters for each semester 6 subjects will be there and one or two toughest subjects. Maximum all the students will clear the exams except one or two but that will be cleared in the supplementary exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Ece because a student can opt for software and hardware jobs as well, the cirriculum prepares for the real world applications with the live projects and presentations. Exams will be conducted every 6 months and the cirriculum is easy any one can attend the exams if they know the subject based on the classes conducted

Faculty

There is less faculty in our college than the needed faculty, dueto this phd students often have to conduct lectures in place of the teachers. the older faculty is mostly not interested in teaching and the placement cell is not supportive to the students. Teachers dont care abourt the students or their careers and some are even vocal about it, however, some teachers are very dedicated but they are powerless in PEC.

Campus Life

overall experience was decent but sometimes youface difficulties from your seniors and teachers. sports is poor at this colege as most students who get admission here are studious and lesser students are inclined towards sports. Smartboards are avialble in teh classrooms and different clubs like music club, Punajb editorial board etc are avialble for students to meet different kpeople.

Internships Opportunities

Microsoft, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and many other companies visit the campus, which offer roles in every field, like sales and marketing, content creation, finance, SDE, etc. I have done projects with the scientists of CSIR-CSIO because of my college. Students of PEC get good recognition outside the college, so they get very good chances in every field.

Fees and Financial Aid

My yearly fee is 188000 INR. The semester-wise breakdown is 94000. Yes, the category students have the benefit in fee waiver. They have to pay 100000 in total per year. The semester-wise breakdown is that in odd semesters, they have to pay 94000, and in even semesters, they have to pay 6000. Yes, the different merit cum scholarships go side by side.

Campus Life

The social environment in the college is somewhat limited there are fewer cultural events interactive program student engagement activities. Opportunities for the students to interact network and developed social skills I am not sufficient are not sufficient compared to other colleges overall, campus life is not very vibrant, and there is significant scope for improvement in social activities, club engagement and infrastructure development

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee for the course is approximately 1 lakh per year. The total fee for for courses is 4 lakhs. It is a poor experience. Because the institute are not provide any placement or internship or apprenticeship. All faculties are rude and poor behaviour like uneducated fellow. Hostels bathroom are not clean everyday. Hostel food are so disgusting

Faculty

The faculty members in our college are well qualified and experienced. Most of them hold postgraduate degrees and some have PhDs. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:30, which makes it easier for students to interact with lecturers. The faculty members are approachable and supportive, especially during exam time and project work. Some of the best faculty members in our department are very clear in explaining concepts and provide practical examples. They encourage students to ask doubts and also guide us regarding higher studies and placements. Their teaching methods are simple and understandable. However, a few faculty members rely more on textbook teaching and are less interactive in class. Sometimes the classes become theoretical rather than practical. The course structure is semester-based. Each semester includes internal exams, assignments, lab exams, and a final semester examination. Usually, 30 marks are allotted for internal assessment and 70 marks for external exams. The exams are moderate in difficulty level. Students who prepare regularly can pass easily. The curriculum is mostly relevant but could include more practical and industry-oriented subjects.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee structure of my course is approximately ?60,000 per year. In the first year, I paid around ?65,000 including admission fee, registration fee, and caution deposit. From the second year onwards, the fee was ?60,000 per year. The tuition fee forms the major part of the total amount. Lab fees and development fees are included in the annual fee. The total fee for the complete 4-year course is around ?2,45,000. The fees have slightly increased every year by ?2,000–?3,000. For management quota students, the fees are higher compared to regular category students. SC/ST students receive fee reimbursement from the government as per eligibility. Scholarships such as merit-based scholarships and government fee reimbursement schemes are available. Eligible students receive around ?10,000–?20,000 per year depending on their category and academic performance.

Placement Experience

Students who have completed there 4 sem are eligible to sit in campus placements to secure 2month summer internship and students who have completed there 6th sem are eligible to sit in campus placements to secure 6 month internship along with ppo or fulltime or direct fulltime opportunities. Around 70-80% students gets placed in tech branches and around 50-70% gets placed in core branches. My plan after degree are to join a fulltime offer.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is outdated as most of engineering college in india exams most of the portion is similar to previous in mostly exams and difficult level is easy to moderate expect some subjects, difficulty mainly depends upon faculty to faculty who set's the paper and who check's the papers and frequency is like mid semester and end semester for every sem in gap for around 1.5-2 months and there are 2 semesters in every academic year.

Fees and Financial Aid

At Sanskrithi School of Engineering Puttaparthi the yearly fee for a B.tech course through AP EAPCET is generally around 35,000-40,000 per year making the total fee for the complete 4 year course approximately 1.6 - 1.7 lakh, excluding hostel charges. This amount mainly includes tution fees, along with compulsory charges such as registration/ admission fees, laboratory fees, examination fees, development fees, and other academic charges which together usually form the yearly payment; a one time caution/security deposit may also be collected and is refundable at the endof the course for SC,ST,BC and EWS students, the Andhra Pradesh government fee reimbursement scheme significantly reduces the financial burden and eligible students often pay a much lower net amount or only partial fees depending on income criteria.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate the course curriculum at Sanskrithi School of Engineering as good and fairly relevant especially for building strong fundamentals the main reason I chose this course was that the curriculum is aligned with the JNTUA syllabus covers all core subjects in a structured manner and provides a clear academic roadmap for both industry jobs and higher studies subjects are logically sequenced from basics to advanced topics which helps in gradually developing technical understanding the curriculum prepares students reasonably Well for real world applications

Ques. How is the course curriculum of Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Electronics & Communication Engineering) in KLE Technological University Hubli?

● Top Answer By Komal Sharma on 25 Jan 26

Ans. Curricular aspects influenced my selection because, in this course, one gets not only a sound training in fundamental subjects but also practical learning. The concept of laboratory work and projects helps in understanding how theoretical concepts are applied practically in real-life situations. The syllabus is well-structured and supports gradual learning. The syllabus here is built to prepare a student to go for higher studies and also apply theoretically in practical life by improving problem-solving and analytical skills. However, in my view, more industrial exposure and practical training would be advantageous for the students. The internal examination and end semester test are included in the exam. They are quite frequent, and the difficulty level is medium, so it can be handled by regular preparation.Read more
