I did sit in Josaa and applied for other pvt. college and yes i did got into NIT Delhi but in the Non Tech branch. Obviously, didn't had any interest in those and neither wanted to waste my money in a Pvt. college and live off on some debt. I chose this college over other colleges because this is a government college and it is under Delhi University whose NIRF ranking is very good. Also I was getting Electrical engineering which is a nice branch to flourish our future. I don't wanna go for private colleges because in those colleges there is no guarantee for a good placement and in other government colleges. Secondly, I looked at long-term career outcomes. L I didn't get Electrical Engineering branch I was getting a lower branch for which I don't want to pursue. There is high demand for electrical engineers and also I like physics which is used in the subjects of Electrical Engineering.Also I wanted to experience the life of Delhi University people.and there are also many other opportunities we can go for. Studying in Delhi University means you are not just in a university, you are in a ecosystem. The student body is incredibly diverse, with people coming from every State in India and many countries around the world. This exposure to different cultures, languages, and perspectives in an education in itself. Also Delhi University is famous for its dynamic and energetic campus life. Just like any other engineering student, the goal was always cracking an IIT. Apart from the JEE Mains and Advanced Examinations, i appeared for a few private institutes as well like BITS, VIT, MIT, KIIT and also for the MHTCET Examination for the engineering colleges within Maharashtra. I lacked preparation for the Advanced Examination and thus couldnt secure a rank good enough to crack the top 8 IIT's. I finally settled for the Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal Campus with Core Computer Science Engineering. The entire admission process was complete but I decided to withdraw after i was allotted a seat here in the Faculty of Technology, Delhi University. The major parameter for comparison was the location followed by the level of exposure and the scope of opportunities offered. Moreover, the restrictive environment of VIT was a deal-breaker. The admission procedure to FoT was relatively simple. They take admissions on the basis of the rank an individual secures in the JEE Main examination. I choose this college as i got fees remisssion here. The Delhi University also has a very reputed name . Hope this college will prosper in future. For applying in this college you have to give jee mains. I also got selected in DTU but can't take admission there because i can't allocate fees for that. Here i applied only for ece and ee but got ee because i gave upper prefernece to ee over ece lol....Read More

One reason I opted for this college is the name and brand of the University of Delhi . Also the location . Since the FoT is new , there is a proud of being in one of the first batches. I was getting UIET Chandigarh , Punjab University which above average . But I opted for this , as location is good for placements and name is also a brand .the teachers are also working hard to make this college better ....Read More
