Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am an Electrical Engineering student. I chose this course because the demand for skilled Electrical Engineers is high leads to job security and also we can keep our options open for other fields by choosing this branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

I took admission in this college in 2024 so I paid 240000 that year and this is a government college. Every year 5% fee increases. This fee is for general. Other students who are having EWS they have to pay 50% of this total fee. Single girl child also have relaxation of 50% fee. Orphan have to pay only 10 rupees as a fee per year.

Campus Life

4

Our college is new so there are not many opportunities for clubs and societies but we are in Delhi University so we can go for the opportunities in other colleges, we can attend event in any college of Delhi University by showing our I'd card. The social life in Delhi University is one of the most defining features. With students coming from every corner of India and from different socio-economic backgrounds, the campus is true melting pot of culture, ideas, and perspectives.

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges because this is a government college and it is under Delhi University whose NIRF ranking is very good. Also I was getting Electrical engineering which is a nice branch to flourish our future. I don't wanna go for private colleges because in those colleges there is no guarantee for a good placement and in other government colleges. Secondly, I looked at long-term career outcomes. L I didn't get Electrical Engineering branch I was getting a lower branch for which I don't want to pursue. There is high demand for electrical engineers and also I like physics which is used in the subjects of Electrical Engineering. Also I wanted to experience the life of Delhi University people.and there are also many other opportunities we can go for. Studying in Delhi University means you are not just in a university, you are in a ecosystem. The student body is incredibly diverse, with people coming from every State in India and many countries around the world. This exposure to different cultures, languages, and perspectives in an education in itself. Also Delhi University is famous for its dynamic and energetic campus life. So I decided to come here and experience something vast and new.

Faculties are qualified. They teach well and mostly they are available when we need them or we can email them regarding any issue . In our college mid-sem exams are held in September - October which are of 24 marks and end sem in December for 1st, 3rd, 5th semester. Assignments and internal test and presentations are also given by teacher for internal marks. Practicals are held before end sem.

Interview Experience

4

We have to give JEE mains and join the counselling for the admission in FOT, Delhi University. JEE mains exam is one of the biggest exam. We have to pass this exam with atleast 95%ile or above for general category

Night Life

4

My college is in North Campus of Delhi University. It's common to see students taking late night scrolls, cycling. The area is relatively safe and crowded. There are many gyms for the college students to join in affordable price. Some of the places or areas famous are like Tom Uncle Maggie point near Ramjas college in North Campus

Placement Experience:

The fifth semester students become eligible for campus placements. The College organise placement, registration and shortlisting based on academic performance and semester marks. Many well-known companies visit the campus for hiring every year, including both mass recruitment and profile based offers students get opportunities in core companies as well as IT and consulting firms, the highest package offered in recent years has been competitive, and the average package is decent for most . A good percentage of students manage to secure placement through campus drives, but it also depends on students preparation and skill level students also get internships into placement offers. If a student does not get a campus placement, there are still good options for employability students to prepare for off campus placement, government exams or higher studies like Masters. Overall the placement environment is active and give students affair chance to start their careers.

The on campus placement are quite good here even for the code branch. The training and placement cells works really hard for students to land onto best ones. Also regular meets and sessions are taken for students of first second third year's to guide them further by the seniors to let them know about the upcoming events and hackathons so as they don't miss out on anything the seniors also guide the students about the essential skills they should learn and provide them roadmap for the same The highest package this year is quite good and the average package is also decent last year average for mechanical was 8-9LPA which is expected to increase this year for cse and circuital branches the avg package is around 25 LPA or even more
