- JEE Main 2025 exam dates have been announced for the January Session. The exam is scheduled from January 22 to January 31, 2025. Students seeking admission to B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Planning courses can apply online through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply is November 22, 2024. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main 2025 qualified candidates will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2025 (conducted for engineering admission to IITs).

As of now per semester the fee is 1,24,400 comprising hostel and mess fee. It has increased with time as well. An year contains 2 semesters. 1,00,000 is the tuition fee. 18,000 is the mess fee. 8,400 is miscellaneous fee. The tuition fee is waived for reservation candidates.
Likes
- The sports facilities of our college are great. The SAC comprises of all the cultural and sports activities.
- Campus is not too big and not too small also. It is perfect and everything is available and reachable.
Dislikes
- Roads somewhere are not too good. They should be renovated.
- Mess food is not at all healthy and strict action should be taken

The tuition fees is approximately 1 lakhs per semester. The mess fees is 15000 which is also paid per semester. Apart from that, hostel fees and miscellaneous sum upto 10k per semester. So approximately 1.25 lakhs per semester is the total fees for general category
Likes
- Campus life is really great, the festivals are very nice. Lot of effort is put into making it a success.
- The course curriculum is very standard and decent.
Dislikes
- Not all the professors are good. Some teachers are very good but most are not upto the mark. All though they are knowledgeable about the field, their teaching methods are not good.
- The attendance percentage minimum requirement is 75 percent which many may feel is too tight. Its too much attendance requiremnet
Fees and Financial Aid:
2 lakhs is the fees paid per year for students of first year. Scholarships are available for students who have family income less than 5 lakhs. General, OBC category students dont have any fees waiver. Whereas SC/ST students have fees waiver. There is no such extra fees taken as development fees, lab fees or other compulsory charges. There is only tuition fees (2 lakhs/year ) and hostel fees (80k/ year)
Fees and Financial Aid:
I am a student of SC category so my tution fee is zero and i have to pay only the hostel and miscellaneous charges which is approximately 90k per year. Also there are a lot of scholarship available here, both government and private. They will give scholarship upto 80000 per year.
Likes
- Course affordability is one thing to be appreciated. IIT Dhanbad provides all courses relatively cost effiecnt
- Campus is green and clean. Very big campus and lot of fests and ECA during the whole year. There are 2 major fests Srijan and Concetto, while attracting students from other colleges also and one annual sports fest called Prakaram
Dislikes
- There is not much to do outside campus, you might find yourself lost if you're travelling alone. No quality service centers for laptops or mobiles.
- There is restriction regarding hostel entry and even campus entry after 11, warnings are sent to both student and parent. After 3 warning you will be fined. Infact there is fine for everything, even when you miss any deadlines

Also they get refund of their mess and hostel fees also through scholarship spicfically for them every semester.

- Academic are very fabulous. Institute has his own lagecy. Institute is completed its 100 years at 2026

- Campus is good but Dhanbad city is not well developed.
- There are no many food options for vegetarian out of the campus.

- Senior Junior culture of our college. Here after interaction in first year you always have your seniors for helping you in everything
- There are so many societies and Student activity center for Cultural like Dramatics, Dance, Music almost everything.
Dislikes
- You may dislike the location of college i.e. Dhanbad. Like there are almost nothing to visit rather than our college.

Other semester charges (Medical fee, sport, hostel seat rent, water charges, semester registration fee, examination fee, library fee, computer and internet charges, electricity and maintenance etc) - 8400 D. Semester Tuition fee - 100000 Above A, B and C are for all category students and D is only for Gen and OBC. Fee for Gen /OBC - 1st semester - 1,31,850 3rd,5th and 7th - 1,18,450 2nd,4th, 6th and 8th - 1,08,400 For the other cast - subtract 1lac from above. Other than this 18,000 hostel fee is required to be paid by everyone.

- There is a hospital and medical store inside the campus in which you will get free treatment and check up and medicine.
- The infrastructure and hostels of IIT Dhanbad is so clean and well established including lift inside the hostels as well.
Dislikes
- Sometimes electricity cutoff issues we faced.

The Year wise I paid is Rs 2 lakhs 60 thousand in which hostel fees and academic fees including tution fees, caution fees, admission fees etc are included. For weaker economic students including SC and ST category the tution are cut then they pay Rs 63 thousand yearly.

- Campus life of iit is excellent. The life of hostel will be as expected. Padhai thori kaam hogi pr maaja poora ayega.
- The quality of food is great. You can get bored but you can't question the quality.
Dislikes
- Wifi speed need to be improved except this everything is top nodge.
