Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure at IIT ISM Dhanbad is designed to be comprehensive and transparent, covering a range of charges that student need to pay over the course of our program. We will be paying the fee i.e all kind of fee that needed to be paid for the semester, right after few days of registration for that semester. The amount details that is needed to be paid by us are sent through our respective college mails. There is a dead line for the payment of the fee without any fine. And the people any kind of reservation are given concession in the fee to be paid. And the students who are eligible for Merit cum need are later paid back the amount that they paid at the start of the semester

the one time charges during admission is 13,400. coming to semester 10,600 is cost of other fees such as research/project , fest fund etc. 8,400 for exam fee, medical fee ,internet library etc. tuition fee is 1lakh general and obc , tuition fee for sc/st/pwd is nill. for sem total fee payable is 1,32,000 for gen/obc whereas 32,000 for sc/st/pwd. Fee gets reduced by 1lakh is your family annual income is below one lakh. fee gets reduced by 50% if your annual family income is from one lakh to 5lakhs. coming to scholarships , scholarship named MCM is credited for students of low income and having cgpa 7+ etc

Sem wise fees are around 1.5-1.3L and its keeps on decreasing year after year.so in total u have to pay the fee of 11.someting for 4 years.in all of the above details the tution fees is fixed and its 1L and mess fees is around 18k as i am from obc category(fees equal to general).for sc st the tution fees is exempted.

There are semester wise fee structure. 3 semester are there which is Manson, winter, and summer. Each semester has different fee including hostel also. For category sc and st tuition fee concession also for income less than 200000 per year.

my family income is following under the criteria 1lakh-5lakh so my tution fees is only the 33% of actual tution fees which is 33333 of 1 lakh . i can apply for merit cum scholarship whose criteria is also 1-5 lakh but additionally you shoud have 6 cgpa . for the first year student the merit cum scholarship is given on the basis of Jee advanced rank . so my rest 33 % get also returned and additionaly 10000 rs for me for other expenses . my total fees is only hostel fees , mess fess, other additional charges which is total of almost 26000 . mess fees(18000).

IIT ISM better than other gen 2 IITs ?

tuition fees for 1 semester are 130000 so for a year it becomes 1,30,000*2 = 2,60,000 per annum hostel fees are 18,000 per semester, thus for an annum it is 18,000*2 = 36,000. caution fees are 5000. admission fees are also the seat accepting fees one will pay at the JOSSA site i.e. 35,000rs and is balanced in the first semester fees the student will pay. coming to scholarships, there are many from different private entities. the tuition fee is 0 for students from SC and ST backgrounds. additionally, students can get 1/3rd of 2/3rd fee relaxation as per their family income officially by the institute.

My Journey at IIT DHANBAD

The Year wise I paid is Rs 2 lakhs 60 thousand in which hostel fees and academic fees including tution fees, caution fees, admission fees etc are included. For weaker economic students including SC and ST category the tution are cut then they pay Rs 63 thousand yearly.
