The students will be required to pay additional mess charges of Rs 15000 per semester. Not applicable to foreign national students who are permitted to avail Institute’s International hostel.
Foreign National Students desirous of availing of elevated accommodation and dining facilities at the Institute’s International Hostel need to pay an extra INR 47261 per semester including the total semester fees in odd and even semester. For availing International Hostel, the students are required to put forward their request which may be considered case-to-case basis, depending on the availability and as per Institute norms.
Break up of extra charges:- INR 26500 (Mess charges, which may change depending on the price of food items in the future) and INR 21661 (Hostel seat rent)

Fees and Financial Aid:
100000 INR is taken as tution fees per semester. Yearly our college takes 200000 INR as tution fees. 18000 INR is taken as mess/hostel fees per semester. Yearly 36000 INR is taken as mess fees. And the rest fees vomed under other fees which include sports fees, health care fees etc. For SC/ST 100% tution fees wavier is given to them and for general and OBC fee wavier is given according to the annual family income of the particular student.
Fees and Financial Aid:
In semester 1 inhave paid over 37000 and in 2nd semester I have paid 27 thousand. Tution fees is not for sc/st students so I have not paid the tution fees, message or hostel fee is about 18000 and the rest one is of for different purposes. Other category students have to pay extra amount as tution fees about 1 lakh. Merit cum scholarship is there for non category students that will make the tution fees off for the students... Or atleast make some percentage of concession.

For 1st sem I paid 1.5lakhs which included josaa councelling fees and 1.2lakhs for 2nd sem. One gets scholarship based on reservation category i.e. SC/ST, EWS and those who have income less than 5lpa gets 100percent fee waiver. So one with these category will not have to pay tuition fees that is 1lakh. For general: Tuition fees: 100000 Hostel fees: 18000 Other charges

- Infrastructure is great. With well organised mess food
- Sone of the faculty are great , helps a lot

- Regionality problem if you belong to perticular region you will get help from senior else no
- Sone of the faculty and TA are not good specially TA of psychology

For general and obc: The total fee for a semester is 1,26,400. Breakdown : 1,00,000 tuition fees , 8400 other fee and 18,000 mess fee. For sc/st/pwd there is no tuition fee so the total is 26,400.

a total of 12,45,000 fee is taken as fee for general catageroy students like me and a fee of 5,45,000 fee us taken from st/sc students. As per the current situation by govt Noms i dont get any scholarship by the governament.

- The sports facilities of our college are great. The SAC comprises of all the cultural and sports activities.
- Campus is not too big and not too small also. It is perfect and everything is available and reachable.
Dislikes
- Roads somewhere are not too good. They should be renovated.
- Mess food is not at all healthy and strict action should be taken

The tuition fees is approximately 1 lakhs per semester. The mess fees is 15000 which is also paid per semester. Apart from that, hostel fees and miscellaneous sum upto 10k per semester. So approximately 1.25 lakhs per semester is the total fees for general category

A. One-time charges - 13400 B. Annual charges including (For student Gymkhana, student insurance, Hostel management fund etc) - 10050 C. Other semester charges (Medical fee, sport, hostel seat rent, water charges, semester registration fee, examination fee, library fee, computer and internet charges, electricity and maintenance etc) - 8400 D. Semester Tuition fee - 100000 Above A, B and C are for all category students and D is only for Gen and OBC. Fee for Gen /OBC - 1st semester - 1,31,850 3rd,5th and 7th - 1,18,450 2nd,4th, 6th and 8th - 1,08,400 For the other cast - subtract 1lac from above. Other than this 18,000 hostel fee is required to be paid by everyone.

Tution fees are high and poor stundents are bounded to take loan.But there are polices like fee wavier which reduces burden on them.There is 1 lakh rupees tution fees for each sem and nearly 50 K as other fees (eg hostel fees,mess fees, Gymkhana fees etc).There is MCM scholarship programe to help student financialy. our colleage has high placement ratio (above 65%).Still, I haven't taken any campus employment or stipends awards.

- Infrastructure may be some what satisfactory for some students and its student dependent
- Some times examinations are quite difficult to tackle and prepare

Many types of scholarships are issued based some eligibility criteria and some are based on merit and some scholarships are given or valid for some specific categories. This semister has around 125000 fee . Internship opportunities are good here and stipend for that range 15k - 200k (as per the year 2023) . Job opportunities are also good here

Which is better, NIT Calicut ECE or IIT Dhanbad EE?
In terms of pursuing electrical engineering, IIT Dhanbad would be the better option. In terms of placement, faculty, ranking, and academic excellence IIT Dhanbad is much better than NIT Calicut. IIT Dhanbad ranks 15th among the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is a much older establishment than IIT Bhubaneswar. The fee structure for BTech in ECE at IIT Dhanbad is 2,30,120 for one year. It Requires a JEE ranking of 3000-10000 for ECE.
