Life on campus, as the students say, is a blend of a variety of clubs- from cultural to technical, sports, which one could join through an induction, there are a lot of activities and events conducted throughout the year but for most, it's kind of uninteresting.
The place lacks sports and gym facilities but well-maintained hostels and beautiful architecture. Hostel facilities were more inclined toward cleanliness, as daily cleaning along with every floor provided beds, chairs, cupboards, and washing machines. IIIT Trichy Abdul Kalam boys Hall of residence and Infosys Foundation Girls Hostel are spacious and air ventillated 3 storey buildings. Each can accomodate 370 students. The hostels are fully equipped with Lift facility, 24/7 purified water and electricity. Each room is equipped with two lan ports and a high speed wifi facility. Sports facilities are also available for students.
The students may undergo internship from research labs CSIO - CSIR, CECRI – CSIR, IGCAR, and industries such as Navitas (TAKE Solutions), Compegence, Sanspareil, Infomak, Zod, etc. The students and faculty are encouraged to publish research papers in International Journals, International Conferences, and National Conferences.
