IIIT Trichy invites many international companies for conducting recruitment in its campus. It has made a vast network of many multiantional companies such as Google, Amazon, Accenture, Sorocoo, Qualcomm, Ramco Systems, Celebal Technologies. Many of these companies also provide internships to the students.

The overall placement percentage of IIIT Trichy is 82% (recorded in the last year- 2023). The highest package was INR 20 Lacs per annum. It is a decent package but lesser than many IITs and NITs whereas the highest package stoods at 50 lacs per year or above.
