- Lots of research opportunities are provided for the students there is good lab and Research facilities new upgrades are made to the department buildings every year in order to provide top notch education to the students of nit trichy.
- The campus has a shopping complex at provides basic necessity for students for their everyday life
Dislikes
- The hostels can be improve as the buildings are old and ancient
- The teaching system requires the students to already know the subject they are studying

Depending on the various programs offered by NIT Trichy here is the general fee structure by NIT Trichy for undergraduate student General, OBC and EWS candidates: approx 1.25L ST/SC: 10k to 15k For Hostel and Mess the cost is around 30k to 40k, it varies every year

- Strong academic programs, qualified faculties, decent placement records, encourages research and hosts to many clubs and other extracurricular activities
Dislikes
- Competitive and stress inducing, located away from city, old broken down buildings and facilities not maintained properly

Tution fee is approximately 161200 per year excluding hostel and mess fees Scholarships are provided based on merit for academic performance, for students from economically weaker sections, for students who are eligible for national scholarship schemes or other various state wise scholarships and there is also a provision for scholarship for sc/st/obc and students with disabilities

- Beautiful campus, infrastructure, fests and activities happening everytime in campus. Sports and extra curricular activities opportunities to play on a good level of sports and playing tournaments at national level like ALL INDIA INTER NIT sportsfete
- Academics , internship and placement oppertunity, value of college tag.
Dislikes
- No water in 1st year boys hostel, too much hot weather, no washing machine for 1st year boys, curfew for 1st year boys.

There is a pre defined fee structure provided to you during time of admission for both tution fees and hostel fees. There will be a complete expense of 5.5 lakh over 4 year. With the tag of nit Trichy you can easily avail a student loan for yourself.

- I don't like the mess food. And some times the water shortage.
- Water shortage in the hostel is big problem.

- Strong wifi connection is provided by the hostel department.
- The octagon the place with 300 computers which i have advanced level processor.

The fee structure of our college is a little higher, we pay around 140000 every year alone with mess and hostel fees each semester. That is 41900 each semester. That is 41900 each semester. We also have fee remission for the students whose family income is less. It is of 2 categories. One is less than 5 lakhs and the other is less than 1 lakh. SC students are avail of free education without tuition fees. We also pay for college fests that happen every year.
Likes
- The ambiance here is too good for our mental health.
- The faculties here are friendly enough to understand our problem.
Dislikes
- The temperature here is too high. Not a better place for people from cold places of different countries.
- Hostel facilities are too poor and not bothering to impose.

Financially, the administration helps a lot by offering fee waiver for those with low income, offering scholarships, fee structure difference for reserved quota and many. The companies sitting for placement are quite a lot and the role they offer are quite good.

- Faculties had very experienced and expert faculty.

- Classes building is far from the hostel.

Every year there is a hike in fees for courses by around 10 percent depending on the year of study. There are many scholarships which could be availed eg. Nsp scholarship, student aid fund scholarship, recall scholarship.

The fee is 1,14,950 (tuition fees) and hostel fees are 52,950 (hostel fees) yearly. There are tuition fee waivers if your parental annual income is below 5 lakhs. Apart from this, you can take a sbi loan through college.

Fees structure varies with the caste For general, ews, obc should have income certificate showing below 1 lakh (2/3 of the tution fees refunded) ,5 lakhs (1/3 of the tutio fees is refunded) For sc , st full tution fees is refunded. We can also apply for the bank loan which our college provides with less interest rate. Many scholarship are there like nsp, ffe, jspf etc

For General Category when you have no reservation or scholarship, the tuition fees for all years is around 125 Thousand/Year. As compared to other colleges at the same level as NIT Trichy, its fees are one of the lowest. You have some scholarships like JSPF exclusively for students of NIT Trichy. There are many other opportunities too. For students from low-income families or from reservation categories, there is reimbursement of fees to help them.

All the central and state scholarships are applicable here, otherwise, if we have a family income less than 5 lakh then we also got a tuition fee waiver, for income 1-5 lakh 66% fee waiver and for below 100% fee waiver.

Which is the better college for pursuing mechanical engineering in Tamil Nadu, PSG or NIT - Trichy?
One of my friends studied in the PSG Mechanical branch. In his opinion, both the colleges are well known and quite famous for Mechanical Engineering. Let me state some facts about them which might help you decide.
- NIT Trichy holds a certain advantage over PSG.
- It is considered one of the top 5 NITs. It has earned recognition not only in India but also globally.
- In NIT Trichy you will get much more opportunities and the proper exposure.
- PSG is not bad but while comparing it with NIT Trichy, it gets more leverage.
- In PSJ the faculty members are really good in their respective fields.
- In PSG students mostly like to learn their subjects by themselves and are independent of the teachers.
- NIT Trichy has all the things required for such a core branch, like Good faculty members, excellent academics, internships, connection with industries, placement statistics, etc.
- All this makes NIT Trichy a better option for Mechanical Engineering.

Both NIT Trichy and BITs Pilani are prestigious institutes offering high-quality engineering education. Moreover, CSE and ME are equally good with different opportunities and prospects. So the choice between BITS Pilani CSE and NIT Trichy Mechanical depends on what your preferences and career prospects are.
BITS Pilani CSE is a great option if
- You want to join a top private organization like Google, Facebook, Quora, Amazon, Microsoft, etc
- Your primary goal is getting high packages even at the cost of extreme work conditions and workload
- If you have a strong passion for coding
- If you have no financial constraints and can afford the high BITS Pilani fees.
However, NIT Trichy Mechanical is a good option if
- You are looking for a stable Government job through UPSC Engineering Services Examination
- You want to go for PSUs such as IOCL, ONGC, NTPC, etc through GATE
- If you are a research enthusiast and want to work in a research-oriented government job as a Scientist or Engineer in organizations like RDO, ISRO, BARC, etc
- If money is your secondary preference and you primarily focus on attaining a better work-life balance.
- If you have financial issues and BITS Pilani fees are out of your budget.
Ultimately, it’s you who can decide the right college and stream for yourself. Just remember that these are just stepping stones to success and it’s you who has to work hard to become successful.
Which is better CE at NIT Trichy or Mech. at MNNIT, Allahabad?
Some of my friends studied at MNNIT, so I might be able to answer your question. It is suggested that you choose Mechanical at MNNIT Allahabad rather than Civil at NIT Trichy.
Your branch of choice is more important than your college preference. In terms of opportunities, Mechanical Engineering has a slight advantage over Civil Engineering
Mechanical at MNNIT Allahabad has a consistent placement record. Mechanical students receive more job offers than Civil Engineering graduates. PSUs often choose Mechanical Engineering graduates.
