Course Curriculum Overview
I felt the MCA course plan was good in terms of use and depth. The mix of coding, labs and project work was a key reason I chose this course. It helped me learn skills that fits real tasks like app build, DB work and logic design. The plan also gave a base for higher study if needed. The exams were held each term with internals, labs, and end-term tests. The level was fair and most students could clear them with steady study. Still, the course can grow with more hands-on tasks, new tools, and live case topics to make learning even stronger.
Internships Opportunities
Internship options were limited. A few firms offered roled like web and data intern with small stipends. Work included simple projects, coding tasks, and basic team work that helped in gaining entry-level skills.
Placement Experience
Students were allowed for placement from the final year. Only a few firms came and offers were limited. Avg pay was low and not many got placed. After MCA , my plan was to look for roles in tech and grow my skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did my MCA from PES College Bengaluru during 2022-24. The fees for one year were around Rs. 2,40,000/- and the total fees for two years were around Rs. 4,80,000/- excluding hostel fees. This includes tution fees, lab fees, development fees, examination fees, and all other compulsory fees that had to be paid. The fees were more or less the same for all my batchmates, and it did not increase over the period of time. The college offered merit-cum scholarships to the students.
Campus Life
Campus life was simple with small fests held mid-year. The library had enough books. Classrooms had projectors and basic tech. Sports like cricket and indoor games were offered and small clubs helped in student events.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in the college hostel. The room had a bed, desk, fan and Wi-Fi. Food was simple but fine. The join process was wasy with basic forms and fees. The hostel was safe, and the cost was fair for the setup.
Admission
I chose this college because it had a good record, strong labs and helpful staff compared to the other places I checked. I had applied to a few more MCA colleges and got offers from some of them, but I liked the campus feel and support system here more. I could not get into one college because the cut -off rank was high that year, so my score was not enough. The admission steps in my college were simple. You needed a UG Degree with the right subjects and a valid state MCA entrance score. Most students came through the state exam as the cut-off and rank list were clear. After ranks were out, the process had document check, counselling and fee payment. The full experience was easy and smooth.
Faculty
The faculty student ratio in my MCA course was good, and most staff were easy to reach for doubts. The link with students was smooth and they guided us well in labs and project work. The course plan was clear with the theory, lab, and project parts that helped in real use. The exam pattern had internals, labs, and end term tests. The making plan was fair and most students passed without much stress. The full course content was useful and linked well with job needs.
Night Life
Nighltife was quiet near the campus. Gym, cafe and library closed by evening. Hostel had fixed entry time. Students hung out at small food spots nearby. The area was safe and calm, making it easy to relax after class.
