I had chosen this college due to its NIRF rank and the the cutoff for the admission. This college was my second preference and PES(Electronic City) was the first one. Since I didn't wait for the third round of KCET counselling, I had to get admitted to NIE which I had got in second round of counselling. The admission process went in ease. I only visited once and all the process was the done the same day along with hostel booking.

I did not get the course I wanted in many of the good and reputed Bangalore colleges, hence chose this college and the reputation of this college is also good in karnataka. For Kcet cutoff should be below 10k for CSE and ISE courses

Firstly I did not get the course I wanted in many good Bangalore colleges. And Mysore city is beautiful to explore and spend my engineering life there. NIE had a very good reputation in karnataka. Placement opportunities are better than Bangalore because the strenght of this college is lesser compared to colleges in Bangalore. I came through kcet, in the second round of councelling I was alloted this college and I am happy about it . If I had got a better ranking in kcet, I would have loved to go to BMS or PES college in Bangalore.

Mt college is pretty well knows and has a decent cut off rate. The CET cut off rank for my course was about 3000. I did not make that and comedK cut off was also about 2500 which I did not make so had to go through management. The PRO was a very well mannered and approachable person who helped.
