I chose ECE in btech because we can apply for both the IT sector and the Electronics sector. The faculty is good, they tried their best that everyone can understand. There are 120 students in each branch approx. 3-4 faculty for all subjects. All faculties did their PhDs and many are from IITs and all. Their teaching method is good they are also friendly. There is 3 internals for us that will conclude for 50 marks and one external is their for 50 marks total of 100 marks.
Many companies like SAMSUNG, MICROSOFT, etc provide internships for us. Projects on Raspberry Pi, many software and hardware projects are developed by students every semester. Colleges are more focused on projects that they try to give you project-type work to gain knowledge. You will get good help from the faculty if you want.
The fee is much high for non-Karnataka students, it should be less. For Karnataka, it is only 85000/yr and for non-Karnataka, it is 251000/yr. There are many scholarships for poor students for pwd also. Many companies visit our campus for placement like Amazon, Microsoft, Bosch, TCS etc.
Fest named TATVA is celebrated every year also KALABHAGIRATHI is celebrated on time and on time. We also have a good library where many good books are available. Many sports are there and you have to contact the faculty of that sport. But for cricket, we don't have ground on the college campus so we have to go outer side on another ground in the city. Many groups are there like Social media, NSS, Adventure club etc. Overall campus is too small like 4 acres we also don't have ground so campus life is not good. The hostel is not on campus.
I got into this college through an Entrance exam called COMEDK, This exam is for whole karnataka colleges. You will get your college and branch according to your rank in COMEDK. If you have reservation then you will get help in admission. I think one improvement should be there that the fee margin should less for other state as compare to karnataka.

This college is located in the IT hub of Bengaluru which makes it the right place to get higher education, considering the tech environment. I had applied for many colleges in near my hometown in Mysuru , which I couldn't get due to competition.

Initially that was COVID time. I was located in Bidar I had no choice to take admission in different college due to covid so I just admitted to BKEC. During admission I had faced problems with college fees later I applied to scholarship but I didn't got any scholarship by government due some problems.

I basically chose this college because of my CET rankings which are which was not so good. But I think for my CD line this was one of the best colleges I could get which is in the heart of the City hebal and the admission process. Talking about the admission process, it was not a headache. It was very good. It was very fine. It was very calm. Yeah they treated me well even after the admission too. They were just as they were in the starting itself

FCD is First Class with Distinction. Students scoring over 70% of the total marks at VTU are considered for FCD. Below is a brief highlight of VTU’s grading system.
Students scoring above 70% are rewarded with a distinction for their academic excellence.
My friend graduated from Visvesvaraya Technological University with a gold medal. She ranked amongst the top ten students with the highest aggregate in CS.
It is calculated by the average of total marks of the last four semesters. A Gold medal becomes a dream if you fail in any of the subjects.
There are 2 types of Gold medals are of two types:
Getting a gold medal is not impossible. Follow 2-3 additional books, study throughout the year and understand the core engineering and mathematical concepts. Internal assessments should be taken seriously as well. Be clear in your intentions and don't budge because there'll be distractions, but you can make your mark if you will it.
One of my friends applied for revaluation in 7 semesters for more than 20 subjects. His scores also increased. The only thing to keep in mind is to apply for it if you are confident that your answers are not checked properly and deserve better marks.
Consider these points before applying:
Make a wise decision. Do not fall for rumors, apply only if you are confident about it.
Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is not considered the worst university but surely has many flaws. These include the following:
One of the things that bother aspirants is the reservation system. If you are an SC/ST belonging to the state of Karnataka then you have no problem in getting a good college with little effort through CET. If you are a general candidate then everything depends on your work.
The aggregate marks do not carry much importance as they are the passing marks you scored in all semesters. Don't worry about backlogs that much. Calculate your marks after clearing them.
Now, degree percentage is different at every university, and VTU will calculate your score based on your performance from 5th-8th semesters and show that on your degree.
However, the good news is that outside VTU, you should state your overall percentage which is your actual percentage.
In order to change your branch, you need to be a 3rd-semester student without any backlogs in the previous 2 semesters. If you satisfy these criteria then go through the following steps:
After this, you will have successfully completed the procedure.
According to the information I got online, if your college is affiliated then you just have to fill the migration application form that is provided on the VTU website and then fill in all the details.
In the last line forwarded to VTU registrar ”...this is to certify…” you can either ask your new college academic person to fill it.
Or ask your college a bonafide certificate or study certificate and pin that with the application form alongwith the e-payment SBI fee receipt.
Get your degree certificate / provisional degree certificate attested from any gazetted officer by showing them the original copy.
Then post the whole document by speed post to the address mentioned on the website of VTU that is to the registrar.
After receiving your post they will transfer the migration certificate to your new college.
VTU hasn’t canceled the year-back system. You will still get a year back if you get more than four backlogs in a year. But having backlogs previous to the previous year won’t result in a year-back. The rules are as follows.
So, you will still get a year-back, if you have more than four backlogs in an academic year.
