VTU Admission is based on merit in the entrance examinations conducted at national and state levels. KCET, COMEDK UGET, JEE Main, GATE, Karnataka PGCET and other exams are accepted by VTU for admission to different programs.

At UG level the institute provides courses like B.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral), B.Plan, B.Voc and B.Arch in multiple specializations. VTU B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Plan/ B.Voc Admission 2024

VTU offers B.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral), B.Plan & B.Arch courses at the UG curriculum in 37 disciplines. The B.Tech, B.Plan & B.Arch courses are offered for the duration of 4 & 5 years respectively & B.Tech (Lateral) courses take 3 years to complete. All the courses are offered in regular, campus-based, full-time mode. The eligibility criteria that the institute requires is to complete a 10+2 with PCM and 45% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. Selection will be done based on JEE Main or KCET cutoff percentages for a B.Tech program & the selection of B.Arch and B.Plan students need to meet the cut-off percentile of NATA.

VTU B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Plan Selection Criteria

To be selected for a B.Tech program students need to obtain a valid score in JEE Main/ COMEDK-UGET/ KCET. Candidates need to exceed or match the cutoff percentile demanded by the university.
For getting selected to B.Arch or B. Plan program students should secure a qualified score in NATA.

VTU M.Tech/ M.Arch/ MBA/ MCA Admission 2024

VTU offers courses at PG domain in the areas of Management, Architecture, Engineering & Computer Application. The courses that are offered in the postgraduate curriculum are MBA, M.Tech, MCA, and M.Arch. The duration of the courses is 2 years except for MCA which takes 3 years to complete. All the courses are offered in full-time, campus-based, regular mode. M.Tech courses are offered in 96 specializations. For M.Tech or M.Arch courses students are required to complete B.E or B.Arch in the concerned subjects with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. For MBA or MCA courses, candidates need to pass their Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. Selection will be done based on the entrance exam score. Students need to appear in entrance tests like PGCET, GATE, CAT, MAT, KMAT, XAT, etc.

VTU M.Tech/ M.Arch/ MBA/ MCA Eligibility Criteria

MBA	Bachelors’ degree or equivalent exam from a recognized university of min. of 3 years duration exam and obtained an aggregate min of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the degree exams. 45 % of marks in Q.E (SC.ST/OBC)
MCA	BCA/B.Tech degree in CSE or equivalent degree OR B.Sc/ B.Com/ B. A with Mathematics at 10+2 with Graduation and obtained an aggregate min. of 50% in all the years of Degree examination and 45% in case of Q.E (SC/ST/OBC)

VTU M.Tech/ M.Arch/ MBA/ MCA Selection Criteria

To get selected for an M.Tech or M.Arch course students need to appear in the GATE/ PGCET entrance exam and must obtain a qualified score that exceeds the cutoff percentile asked by the university.
To be selected for an MBA course at VTU, applicants must have given KMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT and secured a valid score which must meet the cutoff percentage of the institute.
For the selection of an MCA course, candidates must secure a qualified score in PGCET.

My College Review

Admission:

I applied to several engineering colleges including BMSCE, RV College of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar, and PES University. I received confirmed admissions from Dayananda Sagar and PES (through management). I chose Ramaiah Institute of Technology mainly because of its strong reputation, better campus environment, and consistently high placement record. RIT also felt more balanced in terms of academics, exposure, and overall student culture.I did get rejected from RVCE because my COMEDK rank wasn’t high enough for Civil Engineering in the first round. I wasn’t able to convert it even in the later rounds due to higher cutoffs.The admission process at RIT is straightforward. Admissions are based on KCET, COMEDK, and Management quota. KCET cutoffs for Civil are typically around 20,000 to 30,000, while COMEDK ranks are usually 25,000 to 35,000. Eligibility requires 10+2 with PCM. Most students prefer KCET as it’s the most affordable route. My overall admission experience was smooth, with quick document verification and clear communication from the college.

Other than this I have not apply to any college because I got an admission through kcet. As My ranking was good. It wasn't because of academic weakness just the margin for getting into this colleges is extremely narrow and a few 100 ranks can make a big difference. The return on investment influenced my decision strongly. The college has good faculty and infrastructure. The eligibility criteria is 10 + 2 in PUC minimum 45%. The students are eligible for admissions through kcet ,comedk and management.

Before joining this college I have applied to multiple colleges. But the fee structure of a other colleges were high were not as expected. I had consider horizon where management fees was 30 lakhs per year and also considered Ramaiah where the fees was 50 lakhs per year. I had nots code welling case at exam so I had to join through management which costed me 5 lakhs per year at Cambridge.Lower tuition fees. The faculty is good. The eligibility criteria is 45% 10 + 2 and also should qualified through kcet and comedk or direct management quota. The cutoff is for CSE is 30000. The placement eligibility is from 7th semester however that training and pre placement start from 5th semester. Every year top companies like TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Capgemini IBM. The highest 54 lpa at botify. Overall 80 %of the Cambridge students are placed. In future I would like to pursue Mtech abroad.

Before applying to Cambridge Institute of technology i considered top colleges like rv college, horizon, ramaiah and lpu (lovely professional university) and i got accepted in lpu but my parents did not let me move to another state to complete my BE. So my parents suggested me to join Cambridge Institute of technology. As my cet rank was also low and i want some budget friendly college for management admission so i joined Cambridge Institute of technology. The eligibility criteria is 10+2 minimum 45 % and cet, comedk in cet for cse for general the rank should below 30000 and for sc/st below 110000.For comedk all the students whose rank is below 120000.Overall admission experience was smooth fillrd application and submitted all the verified documents.
