04 Nov, 2025 NIRF Ranking 2025 has been released on September 4, 2025. VTU secured the following positions:

#50 out of 100 universities under “Overall University Category”

#151-200 out of 300 colleges under “Engineering Category”

The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is one of the best and highly ranked engineering institutes. The prestigious and prominent National Ranking Agency NIRF 2023 has placed VTU at 52^nd position under the engineering category and 92^nd in the overall category. Apart from this, several other global rankings organizations and surveys such as Edurank and Unibank have ranked VTU.

RNSIT : Best college for students

Likes

The college infrastructure , the library, auditorium etc.
The ambiance of the college, the faulty members
The college canteen, classrooms and labs

Internships Opportunities:

The internship opportunities for students is very high beacuse almost 90 percent of them get placed in our college itself . The companies who come to our college offer at around 2.5 lakh per annum based on their cgpa in each semester. Our college Career Development and placement cell help us get into companies and work as interns and get a complete exposure to work other than studies.

A freshers view on cambridge institute

Likes

The fests of the college and cultural activities they presented in the fest.
They have ties with companies and internship programs present in the campus also companies tied with the campus providing startup opportunities for students
Their libraries cafes sport facilities and their campus is also tidy and clean

Dislikes

I don't have much things I disliked but I think their hostel is not good as the fees they take from us
As I have seen not all the the teaching staff are perfect but it is common in all the colleges

Internships Opportunities:

There are internship programs in our campus itself they are in the main building at the last floor they are many companies stat up tie ups and internship programs but the problem is that we should be eligible for it

My College Review

Likes

Supportive faculty and strong mentor ship
Good labs and well structured curriculum
Active campus life with many events organized.

Dislikes

Civil branch crowding and few less events.
High pressure during examss and internals.
Limited parking and common space usage for students.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Campus is good but social life better because you get new friends from others city good interaction

Less number company are visited in our time for campus
Water filter are not clean and never filter Water
Less number of hackthon are conducting and less innovative programs

Placement Experience:

In placements eligible is 7th and 8th sem is eligible but internship start from 6th sem only and the the company are visited in one branch they may select 2 people's and highest package is 7lpa and average 3.5 lpa the percentage of every student must be 75% in my plans after degree own business

Likes

The faculty members are good and help students
The college campus life is good and environment is friendly.
The placement cell also provides training and mock interviews.

Dislikes

The college infrastructure needs a little improvement.
The sports and library facilities timings should be increased.
Some subjects syllabus are outdated and also need better industry alignement.

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

“Placements are below average, and not even 50% of CSE students get placed in good companies. Only a few top students get decent offers while many struggle.”
“Most students end up getting placed in mass-recruiter companies or sales and non-tech roles, and very few get strong technical or high-package offers.”
Some teachers can be arrogant at times, and their behavior feels disrespectful, which creates an uncomfortable environment for students.”

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Experience at College

Likes

The interaction between the teachers and students is very good.
There are plenty of opportunities to explore in this college.
The college students also are friendly in nature.

Dislikes

The main thing I disliked is the college timings which is from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Also the thing I disliked is there are not many holidays
I disliked one thing that there are not many canteens in the campus.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. However the training and pre placement started for student from the first year itself like aptitude training coding resume workshops. The top companies like TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Capgemini IBM tech Mahindra mind tree. The average is 8lpa. The highest 54 LPA. Overall 80% of students get placed in the final year. My plan after degree is to get a good job.

My college provides a variety of internship opportunities through campus recruitment drive. Student typically start getting internship exposure from the fifth semester on what the students are advised to apply for internship from the 4th semester itself. Some companies which I got to know from the seniors are TCS ion for web development inter they pair the type and around 8000 to 12000 per month.

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Likes

The interaction between students and teacher
The campus is large and campus life is good
The infrastructure and amenties are good

Dislikes

Tha college timings is long form 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
There are extra classes on saturday till 4:00 pm
There are not many events organized on campus

Internships Opportunities:

The college provides many internship opportunities through campus recruitment drive. As i have heard from seniors that they usually start internship from 5th semester and also encourage to students to start applying from 4th semester only. As of i heard from seniors tcs offers 8k to 12k per month stipend for web developement. Internship helps students gain insdustry experience and help develop skills and gives more placement chances.

Great college with poor placement

Likes

Really good infrastructure that includes quality labs and classrooms
College is really supportive for extra curricular and co curricular activities
Has high security and councelling for students who are into ragging/smoking

Dislikes

Poor placement.placement quality is really low
There is grouping within classrooms based on states
Little bit too strict on girls by the college

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies
