04 Nov, 2025 NIRF Ranking 2025 has been released on September 4, 2025. VTU secured the following positions:

#50 out of 100 universities under “Overall University Category”

#151-200 out of 300 colleges under “Engineering Category”

The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is one of the best and highly ranked engineering institutes. The prestigious and prominent National Ranking Agency NIRF 2023 has placed VTU at 52^nd position under the engineering category and 92^nd in the overall category. Apart from this, several other global rankings organizations and surveys such as Edurank and Unibank have ranked VTU.

Mostly I liked about infrastructure and teaching way, curriculum
I liked labs and classrooms and other modern technologies

Dislikes

It's in construction currently so it's ain't looking good from outside
Small campus size with any greenery inside it
No play ground currently to play games and walk

Internships Opportunities:

IBM workshop and interview assist also provide Intership opportunities and good network to utilise by students and its like not good or bad it is decent to be very honest. Well decent placements I am not level so i don't know much it's will happen let's wait till I am still a fresher

the campus has positive and deciplined environment with good infracture clean class room and well equiped labs the faculty members are so friendly ans supportive always encouraging the students to participate in academics and even in extracurricular
the placements cell is active and reputed companies visit during the recruitment drive students receive proper trainning in communication skills coding aptitide before placements
our campus is good looking with so many labs and so many clubs activities and encouraging students for many other co curricular activities with even high placement rate approximately rate of 7 lakhs per annum of average package

Dislikes

the things that i did not like in my colage campus is the colage building is too smal and there is no big play ground in our campus and some 1 credit subject teachers are not supportive and strict
in our campus there is no huge parking area to park the students vehicles because our campus surroundingthere are many other cources like law cource pucollage dental collage dental hostel boys engineeruing hostel so there is no much place to park
in our campus we need to buy books from our campus only and it is bity expencive and there is only 2 xerox shops which uis always rush in our campus because there are many collages surrrounding around for the xerox

Placement Experience:

the placement oppurtunity in my collage are the quite good especilly for computer science and it branches from seventh semester ownwards students become eligible for campous placements many reputed companies visit our campous every year including infosys tcs vipro oracle google fedility amazon etc.free product based companies like amazon zoho meesho also conduct intervies for high perfoming students like santosh pradeep sharth amit bhuvan they got placed inamazon for 24 lpaa name called dhanush 58 lpa and the gold medalist of our college.our college average package is 6lpa,around 80 to 85 percent students get placed every year

An amazing college experience that shaped my future

Likes

faculty and teaching qualityare well qualified,freindly and always ready to help students.Their way of teaching isclear and easy to understand.
Campus and infratructure- the college campus is clean and well maintained.Class room are digital and labs have all the required equipment for every branch.
Activities and student life- college life is enjoyable with culture fests and sports.Its helps students grow in both academic and persanol areas.

Dislikes

The fees structure was very high .The fee increases by about 5-7 percent yearly,which can be hard for some students to manage.
Internet and lab acess- Sometimes the WI-FI speed and lab acess timing are limited,which affects project work.
Few placements option for non cor CSE branches core branch students get fewer placements drives compared to CS and IT students.

Internships Opportunities:

The college provides good internship oppurtunities for students across different departments.The training and placements cell actively connects with reputed organisation and startup to arrange internship.Most students get internship in third year.The companies provide intrenships are Google amazon tcs phonepe fadility and other The roles offered includes software development data analysis marketing finance HR and research assistence.Students often work on live projects industry cases studies and company tasks.The projects are quite less in my college.

Likes

The academics are good as considered for engineering level studies
The community type living doesn't criticise anyone

Dislikes

Though good in academics the college still lacks in the good placement record
The fests conducted are quite pretty simple

Internships Opportunities:

Many companies for the nearby techpark in Whitefield visit the college for internships and placement Where over 150 to 200+ companies visit with main like Microsoft,google,amazon,tcs,and many more as it is hard to mug up all the company names

Simple Review for a interested student

Likes

The college always has some or the other thing going on for students to take part in. Like in multiple club activities, volunteer work, seminars etc.
Very good campus life so far, necessity requirements are fulfilled.
The faculty are well experienced in their fields and teach well.

Dislikes

Small cafeteria area co.pared to the number of students

Internships Opportunities:

As a first year there usnt much i can say. But even for 1st years we have gotten around 4 intership oppertunities in the last two months. We get/choose a mini project each semester to work on and increase our knowledge with on hand experience.

racism and ragging is not here as compared to other parts of India.
Students as well as faculties are well behaved and nice to talk with.Some of the faculties are really sweet to talk with and great to communicate with.
the college environment is good,and the students are really driven. With a strong competitive environment for academics.

Dislikes

The campus is small .Even a 5-min walk covers the whole campus.
Some of the faculties are not as talented and experienced.
I feel like the facilities provided are not upto the fees paid.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year,students start preparing for internships. Companies like Accenture,Wipro,etc. visits the campus (through senior info). For amazon, we are told that they don't visit the campus for internship and placement, so we have to do it off-campus. The highest package offered is 53.5LPA. and the average package is 6.5LPA. My plans after getting the degree is to get a job first and after gaining experience, further achieve higher studies.

Honest review from a student who doesn't hate his college but at the same know there are multiple places for improvement

Likes

Beautiful campus and its huge. Classrooms are clean. Washrooms can be better.
Teachers are kind in my department. And chill.
The college is trying its best to improve ots infrastructure such as lab, and even the placement office is trying its best.

Dislikes

Can be very strict with dress code and other stuff such as being punctual, which i find too much is unnecessary
Wish there were better canteen , it gets too crowded because there are multiple institutions.
They close back gate at 8:30 which many people use , so many of them have to travel a lot to front gate.

Internships are not offered by placement cells, students are asked to find internships by themselves though it is compulsory placement cell only care about final year students. We have subjects like mini project, major project which also carries mark towards the degree.

one of the best college in karnataka.

Likes

the college education is so good as now.the teachers very qualifued and well known to current technology.
the exam is system is good.they take the details of every exam and they help for the students.
the classmates are cery high minded abd they are very active.

Dislikes

the campus is small and the area is 11.2 acres.
the playground is very small and it has only one outdoor ground.
the attedance 85 percent is compuslary for writing the sem end exam.

Firstly the college is very good at placement trainings and companies that are coming for in campus recruitment
The infrastructure provided for the students is a very good advantage
College is very disciplined in terms of students behaviour or the outfits they wear and also should be punctual

Internships Opportunities:

Internship are on the process and there is companies coming for 10 months 15 months in the shape for the students right now but companies are many more. Students participate and get encouraged in many technical projects which will be very useful for their resume and recruitment
