I’m currently studying Information Science and Engineering at NIE Mysore, and I have to say the college does a good job with placements. The highest package was 54 LPA this year, and the average package is around 11 LPA. The curriculum is rigorous, with frequent exams and assignments, making sure we stay on top of our studies. The internship opportunities are also decent, with many companies offering stipends. Overall, I feel like the college prepares us well for the industry.

I feel like I can help with this because I graduated from NIE Mysore's Information Science Engineering program, which is closely related to computer science, in 2015. The ISE department is pretty solid when it comes to placements. However, if you're aiming for top multinational companies, you'll need to put in a lot of effort since there's tough competition from computer science students.

With over 50 companies visiting the campus, you'll likely land a job, but to secure a position with a salary above 10 LPA, you'll really need to put in the hard work. Good luck!

NIE Mysuru is a great place for college, thanks to its excellent teachers and the supportive learning environment, which you might not find in Bangalore. While Bangalore has good professors, the atmosphere there can be quite distracting. Mysuru, known as the cleanest city in India, offers a peaceful and pleasant climate.

People often talk about the benefits of being in a big city for exposure, but bigger cities can also be more distracting. It's really up to you how you use the opportunities available. Speaking of NIE, it is recognized as the second-best college after NIT Surathkal for the core mechanical field.

Interestingly, this year a computer science student from NIE landed a job offer of 28 lakhs, the highest package in Karnataka. If you have a chance to attend this college, I would recommend going for it, or you might regret missing out later.

I chose to pursue Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIE Mysore because of its good reputation in placements. The average package is around 8 LPA, and companies like Infosys and TCS visit for recruitment. The curriculum is mostly theory-based, but it prepares us well for real-world applications. The faculty is quite supportive, and I feel I can approach them whenever I have doubts. The campus life is decent, with some cultural activities, but I wish there were more events happening throughout the year.

NIE Mysore has a decent reputation, especially for courses like Computer Science and Engineering. I chose this course because of its strong placement opportunities. The curriculum is quite good, covering essential topics like Data Structures and Operating Systems.

The placement rate is impressive, with around 90% of students getting placed, and the highest package last year was about 54 LPA. The average package for CSE students is around 12 LPA. The college has a good number of companies visiting for placements, which is a big plus for us. Overall, I feel it's a good choice for anyone looking into tech fields.
