As per a review by Arjun Neelamegam Dinakaran on Collegedunia, New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE) is located suitably close to many IT companies, which provide good industry exposure and internship opportunities. The college has a lively campus with modern, industry-sponsored labs. On the flip side, Arjun states there is a lot of traffic around the area of the college and that there is little time for exam preparation. As it relates to the curriculum, it features a university structure, though not enough practical or AI-related coursework. Additionally, placements begin from the 6th semester, with reputable companies such as Deloitte and Capgemini providing packages from INR 5–20 LPA.

The annual fees are around INR 2.7 Lakhs to attend the college, with scholarships and placement support available. Campus life is busy with events, such as Sargam and Initium, and the faculty is supportive.

overview

Student view on course curriculum

engineering syllabus is never according to real life applications. the hrd department is the only one which is focused on that. i chose this college just because it's tier 1 and in banglore because i wanted to do cse. exams are fine, im in 1st sem 1st and 2nd internals happened within fair time intervals, lot of time left for sem end

Internship opportunity provided by the college

im not sure about this part. i have not heard much. i don't know about the companies that come here for placements or if students have to go somewhere. i guess the college is doing fine in this sector. not too bad not too good? the college always manages the jobs part anyway.

Placement provided by the college

im not sure about how exactly the placements are going but the faculty is putting effort and even 1st sem students get glimpses because of hrd department. all kinds kf companies come here from what I've heard.

Total fees of the course

asked me to pay 5lakhs for 1st year, 3lakhs/yr for rest 3 yrs donation admission kcet people get some discount based on rank hostel fees is taken differently i hear 6 lakhs is donation as of now. hostel is not worth the money

What does student says about campus

the college has worked hard on first impression, infrastructure and social aspects are great. clubs are little rigged but it's fun if you're with the right kind of people. sports and extracurricular is highly promoted. the fest is the best part.

Hostel facilities provided by the college

hostel is bad, sbs block is horrible. the warden is horrible. weekends are depressing if you don't have good friends. there's common bathrooms in girls hostels but guys have personal bathroom for each room from what I've heard. they also get 24/7 hot water, unlike us. the food is nice first but gives you dysentery in a month

Student views on the faculty and exams

faculty handles everything, be it early or last moment. they just get stuff done, that's it. sometimes substitute teacher let's us go a little before sometimes the teachers force us to sit in class, like they feel bad when students leave after attendance 3 internals of 50 marks, one sem end exam, 1 project, 1 quiz, 1 assignment, 3 lab records each sem

Admission

i could afford nhce, compared to ramaiah, rv, bmsce. admission process for this college started wayyy before and they almost forced me in. i tried jee and didn't really get what i wanted so i came her. kcet students are happy with this college

Night Life

well, cafeterias (there are 3-4 places a person can eat in campus) are open till 5pm after that the hostelers don't really have anything. after a day of classes you can just go home, there's nothing around here. there's a gym for men and women hostel timings are from 6am to 8.30pm for girls and 10pm for guys which is unfair
