New Horizon College Bangalore is a decent choice for a B Tech in CSE. The curriculum is updated every two years, which is good because it aligns with industry needs. Exams are held every two months, giving us enough time to prepare. The faculty here is approachable and knowledgeable, and they provide plenty of resources and support. However, I feel like the placement opportunities are not as plentiful for my course compared to some other branches, but I believe they are improving. My experience so far has been positive, and I’m hopeful about the future.

If you're considering New Horizon College Bangalore for a B Tech in CSE, I'd say go with what suits you best. It's not the top tier, but it's a decent choice with fair placements. I've got some friends doing their B Tech there, and here's what they shared with me.

Placements: The syllabus might be a bit outdated, but there are still job opportunities. CSE students typically land jobs with salaries ranging from 2.3 to 7 LPA. Developer roles are quite popular. Many students from CS backgrounds see job offers with success rates between 80-90%. Companies like In Time Tec come for recruitment. The top salary package offered was 10 LPA, while the lowest was 2.5 LPA.

Faculty: The teachers are supportive and knowledgeable, offering good teaching quality. However, the curriculum itself isn't very industry-ready.

Other: They host an annual fest called Sargum, which is quite enjoyable. Students get to participate in various events and extracurricular activities. Scholarships are awarded based on students' inter percentage.

Good luck with your decision! Choose what feels right for you.

I chose New Horizon College for my B Tech in CSE primarily due to its proximity to home and the reputation it has for placements. The course structure is decent, with a balance of theory and practicals. I find the exam structure manageable, with internals and semester-end exams spaced out well. However, the fees are a bit on the higher side, especially for management quota students like me. Overall, the experience has been good, but I hope they enhance their internship opportunities for CSE students in the coming years.

New Horizon College Bangalore offers a solid B Tech in CSE program. The curriculum is relevant and keeps up with the changing tech landscape, but I do feel that more hands-on experiences would be beneficial. Exams are regular, which helps keep us on our toes. I’ve heard good things about the placement cell, and they seem to have a good track record, but I haven't been involved in placements yet since I'm in my first year. The fee structure is a bit steep for those coming in through management, but overall, I think it’s worth it for the quality of education.
