Which is better for CSE REVA University or New Horizon College of Engineering?

I had applied to both colleges, but I chose New Horizon College of Engineering for my CSE degree mainly due to its proximity to home and better placement opportunities. The college emphasizes practical learning and has a robust placement training program, which starts from the 6th semester.

The fees for CSE were around 3.5 lakh per year, and I felt it was worth it considering the facilities and faculty support. The annual fest, Sargam, is a highlight for students as well. While REVA University might have some good features, NHCE's focus on placements and student engagement makes it stand out for me.

New Horizon is definitely the way to go. I'm speaking from personal experience and with a lot of confidence. My nephew did his CSE at New Horizon College of Engineering, and he always talks about how his time there was a fantastic experience.

The college boasts excellent facilities and a highly experienced faculty that motivates students to think innovatively. The training provided at New Horizon is top-notch, as seen in the number of patents they file every year.

My nephew, who was an average student in school, transformed completely. He's now more committed, competitive, and eager to succeed. Thanks to NHCE, he even landed a high-paying job with one of the many companies that actively recruit there, taking advantage of New Horizon's strong talent pool.

I'd say New Horizon is the way to go. The teaching staff is great, and the curriculum is decent. Plus, their placements are solid.

The placement opportunities here are fantastic, with many companies like Infosys and Wipro visiting for recruitment. The highest package last year was around 40 LPA, which is impressive. I paid about 3.5 lakh per year for the course, which includes various additional fees. The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive, making it easier to grasp concepts. The college also organizes Sargam, a huge fest that adds to the campus life. Overall, NHCE has a solid reputation and a vibrant campus atmosphere, making it a better option for CSE.

ABOUT NHCE: Most colleges and universities are quite similar, except for top-tier ones like IITs and NITs. What really matters is how seriously you study, especially when it comes to coding and understanding data structures. At NHCE, if you show genuine interest in your subjects, the faculty will definitely support you. As a computer science student, you don't need to worry about the quality of education or resources from NHCE or any other college. Everything you need is available on Google, and even teachers rely on it.

Life at NHCE is pretty good. They have regular assignments, quizzes, and monthly assessments, just like any other college. You'll make a lot of friends, maybe even find a girlfriend, and there aren't any strict rules. The placements are decent, with good companies visiting the campus. Ultimately, landing a job depends on your skills.

Now, a couple of downsides at NHCE:

• The hostel isn't great. It's best to avoid it because of bed bug issues.
• The food is alright, but paying ?85k-1 lakh for a shared room isn't worth it. You could find a better PG outside for ?50k-70k with attached bathrooms and decent food.
• The rest of the money you save can be used for other things like food and shopping.
• Also, the college management is quite money-focused. Be cautious about spending on extra courses or classes they offer, as they're often not worth it.
• And watch your attendance, or you might end up having to pay fines ranging from ?1k to ?10k.
