03 Jan, 2026 Karnataka PGCET 2026 Exam date has been released. The Exam will be held on May 14, 2026, for MBA/MCA and May 23, 2026, for M.Tech/M.Arch

B.M.S. College of Engineering, commonly referred to as BMSCE, is a private engineering institution founded in 1946. BMSCE Important Dates 2026

BMSCE considers different entrance exams based on the program. For admission to the BE program, candidates must qualify in entrance exams such as KCET/ COMEDK UGET, followed by centralised counselling. For admission to the PG programs such as M.Tech, MBA and MCA, candidates with valid GATE, K-PGCET, KMAT or other accepted examinations are eligible, depending on the course.

From what i have heard, most children start to get internship cum placement in 5th semester. There are many companies that come for the placement process namely: accenture, adobe, ericsson, ey india, amazon, oracle, paytm, hul, ibm, philips etc. The average highest salary of college goes around 40L with average being somewhere around 10 to 15L. Placement percentage is almost around 70%.

Campus internship opportunities in various companies

Accenture, Oracle, Adobe, Paytm, Ericsson, Philips, EY India, HUL, Amazon, IBM are among the companies having the major role in the college placements. The major attraction for these companies are your skill set and your academic performance. Topics like DSA and Web Development is among the top attractions.

Various events, sports and infrastructure of the college

The most important annual and technical festivals are Phaseshift (technical) and Utsav (annual). The preparation around that time is a thing to watch. It involves games, hackathons, orientations etc. in Phaseshift. For Libray there is wide range of books as per course that are available in number. The computer related labs are equipped with smart boards, tv's, good computer systems and many more. Also students are involved in running many clubs and related activities.

Yearly fees structure of the course and scholarship

I'm in my first year here at BMSCE. I took admission through CET where the fees is fixed for GM category at 1.07L per year. At the time of admission they will ask for 3360 charges as per the college( for different college it maybe different). For comedk students the fees can be upto 2.8 to 3L per year. For scholarship, there are a few. First that focuses on children with their family income less than 3L per annum. Theres more for eligibility like it requires kcet rank less than 6000.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

I took CSE in this prestigious college as it is known to have nourished young talents. It is one of the best colleges in Bengaluru and Karnataka that alongside your course , prepares for the real world applications. It almost have exams every month except the first one that shows the reason to bring competitiveness among the student with performing various group activities and presentations.

Faculty and examination pattern of the college

The professors are brilliant here. There way of teaching is interesting using fun and creative examples to teach. They are willing to take extra classes or doubt sessions as per the students wish. The course structure for first year includes dividing the students in two parts namely chemistry cycle and physics cycle. Half of the students will be studying chemistry cycle for first sem and half with physics cycle. In 2nd semester the cycle for the students change. For exams, first years will give 3 internal exams, 2 tests( it includes presentation, assignment, poster making etc.), and finally semester end exam. For marking scheme, firstly out of 3 only best 2 scores will be taken and reduced as per the subject. Sem end exam which will be of 100 marks will be reduced to 50 and the final score will comprised of aat, internal exams and this.

What is the admission process of the campus?

I'm very contented with decision of taking admission in this college. Although i also applied for colleges like rvce, msrit snd pesu where in the current times they were able to get some very good placements. But also BMSCE has always been reliable in placements too. Our college accept the admission through KCET, Comed-K and management. Mostly the students come from Comed-k as it is the exam that can be given all over india. BMSCE is among best college so its cutoff lies around 1k to 2k for cse related braches and around upto 10k for all the other courses.

Night Life

I don't live in hostels but the night life around campus is good. There is a ease of getting anything in and around 1km radius like bus stops, eateries, confectionery, temples, stationary etc. The college indoor stadium also provides sporting facilities like basketball, badminton, volleyball, kabaddi etc. It also have an attached gym with satisfactory equipments. The college also have overall 3-4 canteen/cafeteria. The locality around college is safe to wander

Other colleges were not chosen as my rank wasn't suffecient enough. Comparitively to other entrance exams the best colllege with my rank would have been BMS. Hence the reason for choosing it..Admission process is throgh competetive exams or management quota.Competetive exams taken are COMEDK and KCET...the cutoff ranks again depend on the branch but go as low as 2000 for CS and related branches and upto 50000 for Civil and others..it can go even higher if reservation applied)

I gave first preference to RVCE, but as my rank was less compared to cut off, I was unable to get a seat in the college and I ended up getting the seat in BMSCE which was my 2nd preference. The admission process is easy not much hectic. They will provide all the procedure required for admission. They even have their own mail system, they provide college mail id to all the students. The students will receive mails regarding the college events, notices and any other things.

one of the best college in karnataka.

the classmates are cery high minded abd they are very active.

Dislikes

the girl and boy ratio is less in our college but the total ratio is equal.
the campus is small and the area is 11.2 acres.
the playground is very small and it has only one outdoor ground.

Admission:

as per myself i got adnission through kcet and the there are only 5 top colleges inkarnataka which are good enough for great future it is on 4 thposition but i tried for pes and rv and ms ramaiya but i didnot get those.i got this and this is the one of the great colleges in bengaluru.

The college is in a good location. The classrooms can be made bigger, the network connectivity issue is there which can be handled. There isn't much of a campus life. The college is small in area and gets overcrowded easily.
The overall infrastructure around the campus is bad, it's almost negligible. The curriculum is relevant to an extent. A lot of it is outdated.

Dislikes

There is no sports facility in college. It's too small.

Admission:

I chose this college because I wanted to pursue CSE and this college seems to be a good option to do so. I did get rejection from a few colleges because I could crack their entrance exam. To get admission here, you need to pass the entrance exam, get above 60% in your 12 th grade. Kcet is most preferred exam for students. Overall admission experience is simple and okay.

Admission:

it is the 2nd best college of the karnatka that i can enter through the comedk just after the MSRIT.I also apply for the MSRIT i get reject because my rank was not enough to get in there .We can get admitted here as 3 ways (comedk,kcet and management).Cutoff is below 5000 last year for all the cs and cs related branches.

I applied for many colleges like RV Dayanand Sagar Ramaiah and my first purity was RV 2nd priority was BMS College of engineering then press Ramaiah and Dayanand Sagar and the I didn't get RV I got the second priority that was BMS College of engineering computer science so I choose this rejection from the college I applied was RV which is first college I am in top most college of Karnataka and second top most college was BMS College of engineering the admission process ID was through CET eligibility is you should have minimum of 60% + in your 12th board PCM and then incet ranking if you have a very good rank like above 5000 like below 5000 you can get placed in top colleges like rvbms and most of colleges if you have less ranking like 10k 20k range colleges I got BMS College of engineering cause between 4K to 5k

It has very strong academic reputation because it is one of the oldest and most reputed colleges in karnataka.it has experienced faculty members and strong research opportunities.
It has very high placement rate ,especially for CS,IT and ECE branches . along with that campus location is very good and it has a very nice student life etc.

Dislikes

The students intake from 2024 has been significantly increased but the infrastructure has not been updated as of now .

Admission:

I have applied for VIT also and I have got 3894 rank in VITEEE Exam . And I have joined VIT chennai CSE but then my comedk result came and then I left it Vit chennai and joined BMS College of Engineering . Because of so many factors like student strength is so much there and because of which teacher cannot give personal attention to each student .

I had applied in PES and BMS and later on my seat got confirmed in both the colleges but I chose BMS as they have very good placements and is located very near to my house To take up a course in BMSCE you should have passed your 2nd pu from science stream and if you score well in CET or Comedk exam your fees will be reduced
