BMSCE - A Clean Perspective into the Oldest Private Eng College in India

Likes

Induction programme and fests are lively.
Very good engagement with faculty and seniors

Dislikes

College campus size is pretty small for the amount of students present in it.
Very large seat intake starting this year. Very competitive college.

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college are decent and are on the uprise. Median packages are around 11 lakhs which is a decent number. Students become eligible for campus ppacements from 5th sem onwards and a lot of companies start visiting like Atlassian, Accenture, etc. The highest package that I know of through direct placements was 40 Lakhs. Around 86% students got placed in 2024 but the official results are not known yet. After my degree, I wish to further upskill myself and get a job in the field of AI.

Btech in bangalore is a enjoying struggle!

Likes

College is happening here as there are events every week here. But campus is not that big..
Engagement here is good as you can join several clubs here

Dislikes

Some of the teachers here are not interested in their subject
Projectors are not provided in classroom (1st year)

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year college will help to get you internship atleast Companies like wipro, Microsoft visited in our campus in last recruitment. Highest package here is 40lpa and average is 7lpa. Around 70% students get placed every year. I am planning to get an job after this course.

The placements are decent..nor too good nor too bad
The crowd is slightly better than most colleges in india

Dislikes

Too much crowd is there since they have a huge intake.
Many teachers are not nice.. they dont have much knowledge

Placement Experience:

So the studnets become eligible for placements from the 6th semester onwards. There are a lot of good companies coming to the college like Deutsche bank, visa, fidility, jp morgan, etc coming to the campus which offer high packages as well

The crowd here is amazing and the girls to boys ratio is almost 50/50
The campus life is amazing, the fests are amazing and there are so many different types of clubs that you can join

Dislikes

The campus is small compared to other engineering colleges
There is competition for jobs in cs branch as there are many students

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements and you can also apply for internships from 5 th semester. Many major companies visits Bms such as hcl , dell, Wipro , tcs etc. more than 95 percent students gets placed every year with good packages. My plan is to get a good package if not then I'll go do higher studies abroad

Academics of the college, The opportunities
Placement opportunities are very good within the college

Dislikes

A bit small campus compared to other colleges
Attendance is compulsary ie 85 else you might face issues with exams

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements starting 6th semester and the placements carryon for the next year. Many of my batchmates were placed by PPO and internships which the college had offered. I suggest to maintain min. 7.5 GPA to be eligible for most of the companies that visit the college. I plan to go for higher studies after the degree completion. Placement is guaranteed 100 if you opt in for it. They offer 2 tiers, below 6 and above 6lakh placements. There are various dream companies that visit aswell including microsoft

Updated Syllabus for Computer and Electrical related branches
Many canteens present inside the college building and near the hostel

Dislikes

Process of hostel allotment is not transparent and clear
Some hostels are located far away from the college (>1 km)

Placement Experience:

Placements for the college for CSE and ECE branches is average to good with an average package of 12-13 LPA. But is it expected to increase a little bit due to recession ending in the market. For other branches, getting placements is a little difficult.

The honest review of a BMS student

Likes

The environment is very good with lot of greaner.
We get great exposure to different people as they are from all india.

Dislikes

The college has very less area and feels very small.
The crowd is very high and can be troublesome

Placement Experience:

Our college offers in campus placements with a good placement percentage of around 80 percent we are eligible for placements from 6th and 7th sem companies like microsoft google Accenture tata tcs and many more give good number of offers with 60lpa highest and 8 lpa average I am planning to get placed after degree

BMS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, OVERRATED OR WORTH IT?

Likes

The crowd is very good. A lot of people who are serious about studies, so it pushes you a lot to study.
Campus canteen has very good food. I really liked the Maggi and chats

Dislikes

Campus is pretty small, it isn't as big as it might seem on the internet
Hostels are located completely outside the college, most of the people coming from different states live in pg's near by

Placement Experience:

So placements in bmsce are alright. Most of the cse core people get placed in companies such as JP Morgan and Chase, dell, Mainly HP. A LOT of students get placed at HP. 100% of the students are placed in bmsce. Average package is around 23LPA. Highest last year was 43LPA. My plans after degree is to pursue further education in the USA. Usually from 6th sem people start getting internships. And students are placed anytime from 6th sem to 8th sem. But there are a few students that got internships in 5th sem only.

The campus life and environment friendly
There are about fifty clubs in our college.

Dislikes

the second year timings are 9-5 very exhausting
the canteens in the college are very crowded

Placement Experience:

Basically when it comes to placements around 200 companies visit bmsce, and most of the people get placed with a minimum of 3LPA to 98LPA, the placementrs are topnoch in bmsce, you dont have to worry when it comes to placements

Life at BMSCE

Likes

College is really good and the clubs are awesome
Library is big but not soo big it's easy to find text book

Dislikes

The campus is small but thats not a big issue
We need more lifts guys even though we have quite enough

Placement Experience:

Bmsc colleges superior and prestigious college in Bangalore other than RV and MSRIT mostly in this college the placements happens in circle branch like electronic and communication get 80% placements and and computer science course also gets around similar packages overall the students has to study and get good CGPA in order to get placement in campus and has to be good at his or her skills your CGPA should be above 8 and when I enter this college teachers told us that you are CGPA should be higher than 9 in order to get good placements like about 100000 per month.
