L J Institute of Computer Applications was founded by the L J Trust in the sprawling campus situated off the S. G. highway in Ahmedabad. It shares the campus with four other institutes, devoted to the studies of Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Management and Polytechnic. The Institute along with the Faculty and the Management strives continuously to give high quality education, which includes apart from normal curricula, spirit of United-ness, cooperation, and being helpful to the society. The institute is committed to prepare the students for a successful career and also become worthy citizens, and leaves no effort to achieve its goals of giving the Nation truly dedicated, sincere, disciplined and well trained set of individuals who will lead the world in their chosen profession.

Facilities- The campus of 1500 sq. mtrs. area can accommodate up to 1000 students. There are 7 classrooms and 4 computer laboratories with Audio Visual systems and Wi-Fi network access, Auditorium, Library, Reading room, Staff Rooms, Faculty Offices and Plaza for conducting various activities.
Placements cell- the objective of the placement cell is to reduce the gap between the Industry expectation and academic Offerings by direct involvement of industry to attain symbolises.

My Personal experience of LJ university

Likes

The faculties are nice and friendly their teaching methods are good.
After completing degree there are many companies that recruite you directly from the campus.

Dislikes

There are many difficulties for getting degree.
Cultural affairs are very rare in university.

Admission:

I applied in GLS college and also applied in Indus college but I was not able to get admission because of their seats are full then I got admission in offline round in LJ university easily because it has much amount of seats.

The thing I liked the most in LJ University is its campus area
Faculty of University is very helpfull ,they well experienced

Dislikes

The unnecessary crowd from outside without having permission

Admission:

For MCA course you have to complete BCA or BCOM with atleast 50 percentage overall ,or else if you have less than 50 percentage you have to submit AWS gov. Certificate for continuing your study from LJ University

Likes

Faculties are really helpful and friendly.
Flexible college timing and easy to understand syllabus.

Dislikes

The campus is very small and shared among bba/bca.
Classrooms and benches are not very comfortable.

Admission:

The admission process was fairly simple,I just applied for my desired course through Gujarat University portal as LJCCA is affiliated with Gujarat University. The cutoff for general was above 75% and for OBC it was 60% and for sc/st it was around 45%. Fees is 13,000/ semester that is 26,000 per year. You can find application form on Gujarat University portal after 12th boards exam, around may to june or mid july. Internal exams are conducted by college in every 5 month after the course of that semester has been completed and external exams or sem end exams are conducted after 1 month of internal exams, externals are conducted by Gujarat University itself. Areas for improvement in the admission process is that they should update their website.

Campus is so nice that you gonna spend most of your time there only.
Nice ventilation arrangement in classroom.

Dislikes

Canteen is decent thst you can eat but dont stay for long time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was okay and not up to the mark but yes, it was a good start, I have personally learnt a lot, course structure could be little more in detail like advanced C or C++ or in last year of the course, Multimedia could be more in advanced.
