Faculty

They faculties are very interactive and they maintain a good relation with students. There are more than 45 staffs in my nursing college which consist of 30 senior and 15 junior staffs Now the university is following semester pattern so we are having 8 semesters in total . Marking is mainly based on subjects so it differs and we should get more that 50% to pass the semester

Course Curriculum Overview

Apparently we are the first batch to have semester patterns how senior follow annual exam pattern . To be in semester pattern it's easy but on other hand there are some problems which can be time management. Subjects will be divided but the portions are not divided. And we have to complete 480clunical hours which is very hard to catch up with this pattern

There are enough facultys to tesch the students.some the facultys are too good and some are too bad. Sometimes the faculty may indulge in our personal matters and may check our phones. The college conducts two sessional exams in every semesters. They will take the internals by conducting this exams. But the thing is that the faculty has made some students as their favourite so that they will give internals according to that(only few ones). The faculty will only give less marks for the exams and all.

Fees and Financial Aid

I took admission here in 2022, the tuition fee was 90000 and till now I have paid 180000 rupees as tuition fee and registration fee is ?5000 and exam fee is 5500 and there is no charge for live etc. which is charged here This is true but I have never seen such a bad college till date. There is money for everything, money for passing and now a sentimental fine and if something happens in the college then make an affidavit for it and pay a fine of Rs. 10,000. I don't know what the basic rules are. What rules and regulations are there in these colleges? The smaller the college, the more strict is its policy. And till now I have not received any scholarship or any benefit from here and a class of 60 students runs.Out of which only 20-25 children remain regular

Faculty

There is a good relationship with the faculty and students and the management here and the principal are not known who they are. The principal exams are not conducted on time. Admission was in 2022 and till now 24 is going on, that is, 6 semesters. They should have been done but till now exams of two semesters have been conducted and it is not known when the exams for the remaining semesters will be conducted.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this because in this course there is many opportunities of job and placement in many hospitals it is multi functional medical course so I chose it,The curriculum effectively combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, ensuring readiness for real-world scenarios. Clinical simulations and placements allow students to apply learned concepts in actual patient care, fostering critical thinking and decision-making abilities. Additionally, topics like ethics and patient communication prepare students for the complexities of healthcare interactions

Fees and Financial Aid

Around 30000 rupees only for admission compared to private nursing institutions. It's government and totally this much amount only taken. Also egrants , mcm scholarship, muthoot scholarship and federal Bank scholarship about 50000rs can get from the private scholarships. So you can apply this scholarship when you got admission in here. Many of our seniors got job in UK, CANADA and Australia by campus placement. Trivandrum nursing college is the pioneer institution of Kerala. So you can get lot of benefits including in one year internship period you would get around 18000rs per month stiphend also. Also SC , ST students will not pay any amount they can study very well without any interruption. Education is totally free for them also. College professors are very friendly and they are very helpful in studies also. Come on guys and enjoy the beauty of our college... U will surely get job after completing this course because it is in trivandrum medical college campus.

Faculty

Semester wise examination and faculties are very friendly and helpful. Equal facilities in each classes. My favourite faculty is mrs. Amina beevi she is very kind and also so friendly. When I was fever she told me to eat vitamin and mineral rich foods and she always treat like me a brother. Exams are difficult because no options every questions should be answered. Because it is a medical profession so it's so hard to pass especially KUHS.

Ques. Which is better for ug university college of medical sciences (ucms) or vmmc?

● Top Answer By Akriti Banerjee on 25 Sept 23

Ans. As a student of UCMS, I will try to enlighten you about my college. Location- It is true that UCMS is located in the periphery of Delhi, and its surrounding is not as developed as that of VMMC. Regardless, the location of UCMS offers most of the facilities required for a good college life. You can access Cinepolis, PVR and Big Cinemas from here, reach CP in 20-30 minutes by metro/private vehicle, and catch a metro from Jhilmil metro station to explore Delhi/NCR.  Campus- UCMS has a beautiful campus, the best among Delhi medical colleges. It has a huge central field where you can play cricket, basketball, football, etc. Boys get single seater hostel rooms from the first year itself. The campus has two 24*7 canteens, a book shop from where you can access all your medical books, an ATM, and a post office. The hospital has undergone renovation, and looks new and well managed. Academics- UCMS offers excellent academics. The faculty is skilled and teaches with sincerity. The Histology Lab in the Anatomy department is really good.  Extracurriculars- UCMS has a sports society, a western dance team, a theme choreography team, a dramatics team, a musical society, a literary society and a medical education unit. You can join any of these. According to me, both UCMS and VMMS are good medical colleges. You can choose the latter if location is a concern to you, otherwise, UCMS is a good choice too.Read more

Which is better MBBS or BSC nursing?
V
Varnika Raturi

MBBS is a 5-year program for candidates who wish to become doctors with a wide field of practice and greater earnings. B.Sc. Nursing is a 4-year program that prepares students to work as nurses, providing patient care and support under a doctor's supervision. The choice usually depends on one's interest, aptitude, career goals, and willingness to commit to the duration of study required for each program. MBBS gives more autonomy and decision-making power, whereas B.Sc. Nursing provides learning for direct patient care.
