Course Curriculum Overview

4

Main reason for choosing nursing is to get directly involve in patients care and to to improve social communication with others. The curriculum is vast and hard to prepare for exam as within 1 months exam gets declared after completing of classes.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have came from south dhadka, asansol, west bengal. I belong to general casts. I have not got any scholarship aid. I admitted myself in Oxford college of nursing sciences, bsc nursing branch. While persuing my studies, i have given total of ?800000 for my four year course, in which ?75000 for hostel fees, ?75000 college fees for each year and along with it ?3000 as lab fees and extra amount of ?10000 for college uniform and mislineous fees. Batchmate fees structure is same as mine.

Campus Life

5

In Our college mostly every festivals are celebrated with huge excitement with everyones involvement in the programs that are initiated by our classmates during different types of festival celebration. Every year in our sna program is held where different types of indoor and outdoor games are organised by our college committee and huge numbers of my batchmates including me involve in it with great pride. In our college fees groups are created where they select president, vice president to organize small groups to promote different types of programmes in college campus like national immunization schedule, breast feeding techniques etc.

Admission

I have applied for ramaiah medical College and got selected there but due to more expenses of more than ?10,00,000 they were asking for total amount for persuing my nursing career. Due to this reason i have choose the Oxford Medical College of Nursing Sciences as to persue my nursing degree from here.

Faculty

Some faculties in my college is good like krish mam, she helped me and my friends a lot before exams. She teaches us medical surgical nursing, every time while taking class she describes the topic in easy way for better understanding and some teachers like priyanka mam she only reads the topic and no representations of those topics that is hard for us to understand. In our college for every subject there are 2 faculties.

Night Life

4

Cafeteria are present near to college campus. Libraries are there in college with lots of books in it with widespread rooms for study. Our hostel timings is 10:30 pm when gates are closed and no one can go out or in hostel, as every time there is security guards are there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Aspects that made me choose this course : The course has strong clinic focus. It gives early ward postings and lab skill training. The mix of theory and clinical work made me choos it. The course gives hands-on skill in wards and lab. We learn case study, care plan and drug chart. It also improves our critical thinking skills during intervention. Areas to improve : More skill lab time can be added. More demo with new tech will help. More group talk snd case based learn can imrpove study. There are 2 internal exams each sem and one final exam. Exams are fair and needed daily study. They are not very hard if we prepare well.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are available, but they are average and not very high level. The college conducts campus placement for our course, mainly in hospitals and related healthcare sectors. Many students get placed through college, but package is usually basic or entry-level. It is good for starting career and gaining experience.
