Course Curriculum Overview

4

Aspects that made me choose this course : The course has strong clinic focus. It gives early ward postings and lab skill training. The mix of theory and clinical work made me choos it. The course gives hands-on skill in wards and lab. We learn case study, care plan and drug chart. It also improves our critical thinking skills during intervention. Areas to improve : More skill lab time can be added. More demo with new tech will help. More group talk snd case based learn can imrpove study. There are 2 internal exams each sem and one final exam. Exams are fair and needed daily study. They are not very hard if we prepare well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for B.Sc Nursing in my college is approximately ?1,95,000 in the first year. From the second year onwards, the fee is around ?1,65,000 per year. The first-year fee is slightly higher due to additional charges such as admission fee, registration fee, university fee, caution deposit (refundable), lab fee, and development fee. From the second year, only tuition fee along with lab and university-related charges are included. The overall cost for the complete 4-year course comes to approximately ?6.9 to ?7 lakhs. The fee structure has remained mostly stable, with minor yearly increases depending on university regulations. Students under different categories such as management quota may have slightly higher fees. Government quota students usually pay lower fees as per state norms. Scholarships are available for eligible students under SC/ST, OBC, and minority categories as per government schemes. Merit-cum-need based scholarships and NSP (National Scholarship Portal) schemes can also be applied for, depending on eligibility.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is good for study and clinic work. Social life is calm. There are few club acts and student groups, but they help students learn new skills. The college holds one main annual fest in March and tech fest in September. Students enjoy small events and cultural shows and quiz contests. These cultural shows and events are limited as i already mention in earlier in the things ive disliked. The library has a good range of books, journals and e- books. Students can borrow books for study and referrence. Classrooms are well lit and ventilated. There are projectors, smart boards and computer labs. Teachers use presentations and videos to teach theory. Sports are limited but included cricket, football, badminton and chess. Cultural and hobby clubs are small but active. Students run groups help organize health camps, workshops and community programs. SNA and NSS services are present. Campus is goof for study and clinic training. Social and club activites are fewer. But library, labs and teach facilities are strong and helpful for learning.

Admission

I applied to 2 -3 colleges in state. I got confirmed seat in this college only. This college was one of my top 3 priorities as it has better academic training than other colleges. I chose this college because it has goof ward exposures, strong skill lab and supportive staff. I did not got seat in other colleges due to high cut of marks. I scored less than required for that colleges The college takes admission through state counseling and direct management quota. Eligibility is 12th pass and NEET exam. The admission process was simple and clear. Online form, document verification and fee payment are required. Overall admission was smooth and quick with proper guidance.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is adequate. Faculty student relationship is professional, respectful and supportive. Most faculties are approachable and willing to clarify doubts. Faculties i liked are the senior faculties and they are the best. They are supportive not only in academic but in talents also. There are no faculties that i didn't like. Every faculties has been nice to me. There are 2 semester exams in each year along with 2 Internal Assessment in each semester. Exams are moderaterly difficult. Very less number of students fails to clear exams. The course curriculum is very relevent to nursing field. It covers both theory and clinical skills in a good way.

Night Life

5

The nighlife around college is calm. Most students focus on study and rest after classess. Gym,library, cafeteria closes by 8 - 9pm. Hostels have curfew around 10pm. Students usually sit in the open lawn space beside the college arena. Its is peaceful and silent. Also we visit cafeteries by the college and also go outside shops to hangout. Permissions are required inorder for an hosteler to go out. Permission can be acquired fairy and allowed. Safe locality is the near junction of the college were evertime it is active with people.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are available, but they are average and not very high level. The college conducts campus placement for our course, mainly in hospitals and related healthcare sectors. Many students get placed through college, but package is usually basic or entry-level. It is good for starting career and gaining experience.
