No, it is not necessary to pass both examinations of a topic in the first year of the MBBS at RGUHS. As per RS3 rules and maks distribution, you just have to ensure you score an overall grade of 50% including internal exams, both the paper and theoretical viva.

The total marks is 280 out of which candidates must at least secure 140 marks in total. It is valid for anatomy and physiology papers. The Biochemistry paper is divided into 2 parts with 50 marks assigned for each paper. 

It is not difficult to pass the first year of the MBBS at RGUHS. With a valid score of 50% aggregate plus 75% of attendance in theory and 80% in practicals. You must be able to pass your first year MBBS RGUHS Examination with flying colours.

• Visit the official website @ https://rguhs.karnataka.gov.in/stud_qp_dwnld/. 
• Select the year either “First Year Student” or “Other than First Year Student”. 
• In the case of the First Year student, Enter the Mobile No. and click submit. 
• In case of Other than First Year Student, enter Mobile No., Registration No. and Date of Birth (DOB) and Click on Submit. 
• You will be able to access the question papers in PDF Format. 
• Students can access both year-wise RS4 and RS3 papers. 

Students can also access the RGUHS question papers on websites such as Collegedunia.com and other host websites. It is also advisable to go through the question banks such as the question bank by the author Singhi Yatiraj. In case of queries, reach out to professors and seniors for better insights. Lastly, ensure to access only reliable and authoritative sources and avoid any unreliable and illegal sources. 

You can get the transcripts for your BDS from RGUHS by following the easy steps below. 

• Visit RGUHS website and download the application form for transcripts. Fill in the required information.
• Pay the fees through online payment service. Select ‘Student Fee Collection’ and ‘Student Fee Collection Examination’ options consequently and submit. You will be redirected to a new page. Select ‘Credential Verification/Official Transcripts’. Fill in the required areas. You will be directed to payment acknowledgment page. Don’t forget to take a printout of the fee receipts after the online payment. 
• With the application form, attach semester mark sheets, degree certificates, and the fee receipt. Visit RGUHS, and submit as many document sets as you need. 

The institute usually issues the transcripts after a week or so. Don’t forget to get the university stamp on the sealed envelope. 

Carry-over subjects are the ones that you failed to clear in that academic year. If you have carry-over subjects from the 2nd year, you will be able to attend 3rd-year MBBS classes but you will have to clear the supplementary examinations for the carry-over subjects. 

Yes, you can write 3rd-year examination in June after clearing 2nd-year supplementary examinations in June. The course work of 3rd year isn’t heavy there is only one major subject, i.e. PSM along with two minor subjects. So, you will be able to manage. 

If you haven’t received your permanent certificate from RGUHS, you should contact your college or university. There can be two likely cases - your college hasn’t forwarded the convocation form to RGUHS, or you forgot to submit the application form. 

If you have the original application form and you haven’t submitted it, you can contact RGUHS. They will verify your MBBS mark sheets, certificates and provide you with the degree certificate. 

If you don’t have the application form then you should have a Xerox copy. Check if the Xerox copy has RUHS seal with date on it. If there’s no seal and date, then RGUHS, hasn't received your application. You should contact your college for further details.

It’s needless to say MBBS course work is grueling. Setbacks and supplementary papers are a common occurrence. So, don’t lose heart.  Put in the required effort and prioritize your studies over everything else. I know students who have failed in the first year yet scoured 70+ marks throughout their MBBS.
