Nursing Registration Hold registered nurse and registered midwife/equivalent registration with the relevant state nursing registration council.
Work Experience Generally 1 year after basic B.Sc. Nursing; for post-basic B.Sc. Nursing, normally 1 year before or after the degree.
Entrance Application Apply to the relevant examination/institute: AIIMS, PGIMER, CMC Vellore, Kerala CEE, RUHS, JEMScN or another notified university entrance exam.

Ans. Among currently listed examples, AIIMS Rishikesh at INR 2,305, AIIMS New Delhi at INR 2,485 and PGIMER Chandigarh at INR 15,600 have comparatively low listed total academic fees. Admission is competitive, and hostel/mess or other charges may be additional.

Ques. What foreign package can an M.Sc Nursing graduate expect?

Ans. There is no reliable single “foreign package". Nursing pay differs sharply between the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Gulf countries and other markets and also depends on licensing, speciality, shifts and experience. Students should compare the local registered-nurse pay scale after confirming eligibility for professional registration instead of converting a headline foreign salary directly into INR.

Ques. Does M.Sc Nursing guarantee a higher salary than B.Sc Nursing?

Ans. No. A master's degree can support specialist, educator, supervisory and research roles, but salary still depends on designation, clinical experience, employer, location and recruitment rules. The degree should therefore be viewed as a route to advanced roles rather than an automatic salary increase.

Ques. Is direct admission available for M.Sc Nursing?

Ans. Direct admission should not be assumed. INC guidance states that selection should be based on entrance-examination merit, while individual universities and states issue their own admission rules. Students should rely only on the current notified process of the institution.

Ques. When do M.Sc Nursing admissions generally take place for 2026–27?

Ans. The 2026 cycle shows a broad application period from the first half of the year through July: PGIMER completed its examination in May, AIIMS conducted its M.Sc Nursing process in June, and Kerala/Rajasthan conducted major admission activity in July. Counselling and seat allocation continue mainly through June–August 2026, depending on the authority.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee structure was year-wise. Per year 70000 per year for post-BSc nursing and 11000 R's per year for MSC. Nursing. There was no scholarship as I belong to the general category so I didn't get any befits for my MSC and BScnursing. I took a management seat and I had to pay the money as per the management fee protocol. The scholarship can be applied to people who belong to sc and st categories and also to a few of the accordingly categorized by Indian government. There was no campus selection in BSc and MSC, During the year 2020-21, as covid was at its peak. The overall fee structure is affordable and comparatively better than in other states, and the quality of education is excellent. In my personal experience, there are huge numbers of people who wish to choose this profession but due to inappropriate knowledge about the field and insufficient government involvement in structuring standard fee guidelines for private colleges, And also government-aided colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to do my masters in pediatrics nursing, as pediatrics was one of my favorite subject in BSc and I always wanted to work for the welfare of mother and child health, as India is a developing country there is a lot of changes made by the country for the betterment of child and mother health and the process is still continuing with lots of new technologies and devices, I wish to be a part of this development by providing service to child and mother health. The faculty-student ratio is 20:1.The faculties were well-experienced everyone had a master's degree. the teaching method was very understandable. the teaching quality was appreciated. Exams are often conducted three times a year, passing the exams was easy, as the portions were covered on time and we had time to study and revise our subjects before the exam. I am happy to work as a pediatric nurse and I am very much thankful to the college for providing me with good quality practical and theoretical knowledge.

From the time that I realized the direction in which I wanted my life, I have been attracted to the nursing profession. I have always been inclined towards helping other people and taking care of them and this seemed to be a very good career choice. After my graduation in nursing, I wanted to complete my masters from a well known university and hence enlisted certain options. Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences was on my list and after further research I thought of it to be a good choice. I checked their official website and filled in the online application form after which the college contacted me for an entrance examination and also an interview. The questions were known to be and the interviewer was very cooperative and nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very comprehensive and contains all the necessary subjects that would help me choose the area of my expertise in Nursing. We are taught almost all sections of nursing from surgical nursing, pediatric nursing to psychiatric nursing. We also have a research and practical classes that helps us get ready for the real scenario ahead of our journey. Though the course could be quite long, it did not seem like a burden due to how well it was structured over the two year time frame. Even with the examination and the practical lab classes my friends and I had a great time studying as well as maintaining a balanced social life.
