BSc Nursing Admission Through NEET 2025

Recently, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare passed a bill named National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Bill 2020 to replace the existing 73 year old Indian Nursing Council Act 1947.

  • Currently, there are numerous entrance exams conducted all over India for admission to UG and PG nursing courses which are conducted by various state governments and medical institutions.
  • To avoid this, the recently passed bill proposes to conduct a common entrance test for integrating the entire system similar to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for various medical courses.
  • The formed commission will comprise separate boards for the control of UG and PG courses and also decide upon the prices for the courses as well.
  • A national register is likely to be maintained to keep track of all practising and qualified nursing professionals.
  • And hereafter every single nurse and midwife must register with state boards.

What is NEET?

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET-UG) is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate medical courses. NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Currently, NEET UG is conducted for the admission of MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses.

Ans. Students from 4rth year are eligible for placement. Pgi provide job for it's own students. Bond system is here. Students can apply for foreign jobs as pgi provide their degree and a sheet with completed number of hours as in clinical we need 100% attendance. Students who don't want to work in pgi can go to different hospitals as pgi is a recognized university they will get job easily. 80% students get job in pgi. As many new blocks are building here for future, they will require large amount of nursing officers so they will give job to their own university students. Some senior got their job with a high amount as salary with health benefits, hostel allowanc, travel allowance, and tax is included. Working hour are less here, people can switch there shifts with there workmates as per there convince. My plan is to work here as a nursing officer and do my master degree from pgi itself.Read more
