BSc nursing state admissions are based on the performance of the applicants in the national or state-level entrance exams. Some of the popular state-level exams conducted for BSc nursing admission are GUJCET, UPCET, TS EAMCET, and CG BSc Nursing Entrance exams. The preparation of the merit list is based on the marks scored in the entrance exam followed by a counseling round.
AIIMS BSc Nursing examination will be conducted on June 1, 2025, for BSc nursing state admission 2025. To seek admission to Top BSc Nursing Colleges, students must qualify either for a state or a national-level BSc nursing entrance exam.
The counseling round includes personal interview/ PI, group discussion/ GD, document verification and seat allotment. After the allotment of seats, the eligible candidates must report to the respective colleges and pay the admission fee to secure their seats. State Level BSc Nursing Entrance Exams
There are various state level entrance exams conducted for BSc nursing state admission. Here is a list of various popular state level BSc nursing entrance exams.
- TS EAMCET: Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) is a common entrance exam conducted for admission to various professional courses after 12th. To be eligible for TS EAMCET, one must pass class 12 in Science stream from a recognised educational board with minimum 45% marks in PCB. The applicants must also have domicile certificate from Telangana State.
- GUJCET: Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is conducted by Gujarat Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) for admission to various undergraduate courses including BSc nursing. The applicants must have a domicile certificate from Gujarat state and attain at least 17 years of age to sit for GUJCET exam.
- HP BSc Nursing Entrance Exam: HP BSc Nursing Entrance is conducted by Himachal Pradesh University for admission to BSc Nursing in various colleges in Himachal Pradesh. Those who have completed class 12 from a recognised board or equivalent are eligible to apply for HP BSc nursing entrance exam.
- CG BSc Nursing Entrance Exam: CG Vyapam BSc Nursing Entrance exam is conducted for admission to BSc nursing in Chhattisgarh. Those who are domicile of Chhattisgarh and have completed class 12 from Chhattisgarh Board or an equivalent with minimum 45% marks in Science stream with PCB can appear for the CG BSc Nursing Entrance Exam.
- Haryana CET: Haryana Common Entrance Test (Haryana CET) is a state level entrance exam conducted by Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences for admission to various courses in Haryana. Those who have completed class 12 in Science stream with at least 45% marks and above are eligible for Haryana CET exam.
- UPCET: Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test (UPCET) is a state level entrance exam conducted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University for admission to BSc nursing in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates between 17 - 35 years of age who have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam in Science stream scoring at least 50% marks with PCB or PCMB can apply for this course. Those who have completed GNM course or appearing for class 12 exam are also eligible.
