DDUGU did not held any technical fests but A 9-day book fair held every year in early November at the university campus.Computers with internet access for research and study.Online databases and digital learning resources.Workshops (like. on research tools, online platforms like Manupatra).Indoor games (Table Tennis, Judo, Taekwondo, Yoga).Outdoor fields for Football, Cricket, Volleyball. I don't know more about social groups r student portals. But i enjoyed very much my campus life

Faculty

In all, the university has about 70+ teaching faculty across departments, including Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors — so the Mathematics department is part of a reasonably sized academic community. Faculty to student ratio is almost ~150 - 200. I like physics' faculty because there was more facilities. Mathematics faculty i don't like coz of less facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

I see a lot of students who struggled in maths, that's why I chose this course. If I talk about real-world examples, from number systems to multiplication, fractions and trigonometry to find the height of pole. Areas of improvement are to relate mathematics with real-world examples, use methods like Vedic mathematics, and also creative, active participation rather than rote memorisation.

Faculty

The faculty of mathematics is not student-friendly. It used to pressurize to take private tuition, but there are some faculty members who help students to learn fast. I like SN Singh, sir, because he always helps students, no matter which area. I don't like mathematics one because he always asks for money to complete things. There are a total of 6 smester and I really enjoyed the exams.

Campus Life

campus life is a transformative journey balancing academics and personal growth, offering vibrant social scenes through clubs and events for shared interests, while solid infrastructure (like good dorms, libraries, tech) supports this growth, making it an unforgettable phase of discovering independence, making lifelong friends, and developing leadership skills. It's about building community, exploring passions beyond classes, and creating lasting memories, though it involves navigating new responsibilities like managing time and finances.

Course Curriculum Overview

Rating a curriculum's relevance and comprehensiveness involves assessing its alignment with goals, depth of content, breadth of subjects, practical application, and student needs, using feedback and evaluation methods to gauge how well it prepares learners with necessary skills, knowledge, and adaptability for future challenges. A good curriculum balances core knowledge (depth) with diverse skills (breadth) and real-world applicability (relevance).

For 80 students there are 3 physics teachers and 3 maths teacher and they are legit very good. All teachers are very friendly especially our physics teacher they helped us . Our maths teacher are very motivating they are really good . They are nice you can ask any question you want in campus hour any number of questions. Though our Physics HOD sir is bit strict but he is very nice in his own way and explain every physics problem in just a snap. I like my physics teacher honorable our physics Hod sir Mr. KN UTTAM SIR , MY mechanics teacher Mr. TT sir , my Geometry teacher Mr. ANIL KUMAR SIR ,and last but not the least my ordinary differenti equation teacher Mr. ALPESH KUMAR SIR. I also like defense studies teacher who is Rashmi Ma'am. Faculties i don't like is no one every teacher is good is in his own way and i respect them all. For semester exam there is external amd internal exam . Internal is taken by class teachers and external holds more weightage than internal. Intensity is like class test in which we have given some marks and external is the main exam. There are 3 subjects in which two subjects are major and one subject is minor . And two major subjects hold 6 papers, 3 papers each and minor holds 2 papers . Overall we have to give exam for eight to nine papers . 80%for external and 20% for Internal. Minor have objective questions and major have subjective questions. Course curriculum is good but it gets tougher. Students have to study for the exam . Passing criteria is not so good . 30% students failed every year and it is tough to clear the exam without studying so you have to study

Campus Life

Sadly they don't held any annual or technical functions . But in arts faculty they held time to time dance show and singing show and also debate competitions. In arts faculty there are range of books for all subjects and in science faculty there are books only about maths and physics which i like the mostt!!. We have access to any book we can get it my our library card but there is a con that bsc and llb students don't have right to take the books at there home or there hostel which is kind of sad thing. Classrooms are good and very big , we always study in the classroom in free time because it's sound proof. Sports are the thing which they genuinely put efforts and student can learn hockey or any sport my friends have also taken part . Sports freaks are everywhere and they look cool!!. Yeah there are many student run social groups clubs like suvirya for those who wants to join defense forces, umang for creativity and many more . Student portals oj telegram for notes , book pdfs , everything and news about university. Students are learning how to survive and face challenges and some students also make money by side hustle. I have watched many students earning money and helping there parents which is kind of motivating others. I know that our university ranking is not very good but trust me it's very beautiful in it's own way!.

There is Sanskriti fest by Science Federation Students Union. I think it'll be good. There are lots of books in the libraries and they're very accessible. You have projectors and computer laboratories. It's very good. You can play anything in the campus. There's lots of sports here - cricket, football, table tennis, carrom , everything. There's SFSU, AFSU and FETSU - the student unions for Science Faculty Students, Arts Faculty Students, and Engineering Students respectively. They impact students' exam dates and festivals and many more.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio matters on the class size. It's variable. The faculty is nice to students and approachable (except some of them). I like most of the faculties. SG, PKR, AB are the best profs. I didn't like AD and RB because of their strictness. There are seven exams, easy to score but difficult to answer. Half of the students fail to clear them. The course curriculum is relevant.

Faculty

The student network and facilities are good, and our faculty is helpful and teaches well. My favorite is my math teacher because he explains concepts well. And if we talk about the lab faculties, they do not explain the practicals so well, they just make us write them. In every semester we have one sessional exam and one final semester exam.Sessional exam is still like this but semester exam is tough because I come as a university student and checking is done strictly in that too.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am preparing for a government job, so I took admission in this course just to get a graduation degree and not for any other reason. There should be some improvement in the lab and also in the exam pattern. The timing of our exam is 2:30 hours which is less time because the exam is lengthy.

Campus Life

My overall campus life at Lucknow University has been good. The campus is large and full of greenery, which creates a pleasant environment for students. Annual cultural events like Tarang and various departmental fests are highlights and help students showcase their talents. The library has a good collection of books and journals, but sometimes accessibility and seating can be limited during exam time. Classrooms are decent but technology could be improved, such as more smart classrooms and better lab equipment for science students. Sports facilities and extracurricular activities like NSS and NCC are available for students who want to participa

Placement Experience

Lucknow University does not have very strong campus placements for B.Sc students, as most companies prefer professional or technical courses like B.Tech or MBA. However, a few job fairs and placement drives are organized where companies from education, sales, and basic research roles visit. The placement opportunities usually start after the 5th semester. The average package offered is quite low compared to other professional colleges, and only a small percentage of students get placed through campus. Most B.Sc students prefer to go for higher studies like M.Sc, B.Ed or prepare for competitive exams such as SSC, Bank, UPSC, State PCS, etc.

College provide most of the basic courses in science, arts, etc . There are approx 5-10 professors including assistant professor in every department which is good for all branch we have a unique proffesor Dr Akram Ali sir which teaches us organic chemistry is the teachers I like the most he teaches us in simple way and also making jokes just to relaxing the students Also bkt sir which teaches us maths is good because they solve all the problems from books and always ready to help you even if you're asking basic question from him he do not tell anything to you can also ask questions outside the class . The professor of thermodynamics isn't good they just shout at you for any questions all students from our section is unsatisfied with him they teaches us thermodynamics in very complex way also teachers from physics practical are didn't good they don't help you they just cutt your copy and shout at you for making any mistake you have to prepare your practical with the help of books and for lab you can take help from YouTube Also class of elementary analysis aren't good From this year we have to give 4 exams in which 2 is internal and two is external because of symester system in a symester 1 internal + 1 external it is quite easy as compared to yearly system in yearly system approx 50% of students are failed due to higher pressure at exam time . You got 30% marks from college and 70% from Au main campus internals are easy as compared to external due to higher syllabus and pattern .Internals are also compulsory for all students also you have to make contact with professors because your numbers also depends on him or her . The attendance isn't much bigger issue in a week there are two holidays Saturday and Sunday during examination time some teachers may call you for extra classes even in Saturday's or Sunday's to complete their syllabus.also we got many extra holidays during festivals, winter vecation,or summer vecation. But there aren't any extra college programs

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for bsc maths group students per year is 5507 and there are also some other charges you have to pay like 1000rs for skill inhancement course if you join the chemistry lab you have to bought your own some basic apperatus costs 320 + a lab coat is also required The college is average to good for bsc maths students Some teachers are good but some are worse The practical teacher of physics don't do anything they just showt at you and bully you if make any mistake You have to prepare your practical yourself and do it in lab without any help Maths teachers are good ???? the classroom are big but crowded in summer days it's hard to study also sometimes electricity problem The good thing about this college is that the class held regularly. teachers present in the classroom at time . But if you want college for study with enjoyment then this is not for you there is not any trip or freshers party Types of things . Campus is decent but required maintenance Playground is full of bushes and guarbage

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is not very balanced as in many classes one faculty member has to handle a large number of students this sometimes affects the amount of personal attention is student receives in terms of faculty student relationship some professors are very supported and willing to help outside classroom hours while others are less interactive and prefer sticking only to the syllabus this creates mixed experience is depending on which department or teacher you are dealing with. Some of the faculties are so good and their departments are also good and when there is any problem regarding anything they are very supportive and tells about all the things and provides everything which are very helpful to the students. Some of the faculties such as science faculties and other are very good faculties. Some of the faculties such as commerce and arts faculties these are not good faculties because the classroooms are not that much good and have not good ventilation and som professors are very supportive while others are less interactive and prefer sticking only to the syllabus this create mixed experience depending on which department or teacher we are dealing with when it's come to approachability Faculty is approachable to a certain extent for academic doubts but it can be difficult to get proper maintain for projects career guidance or research unless you take extra initial the overall system could be improved by having more one on one interaction mentorship programs and smaller classes that class in which all students cannot attend the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the subject because it is very versatile subject and it is also good for the preparation of other examinations and it also helpful as it provides knowledge about so many other things technical and other things which are important to us the examination are held always in 6 month time period

The subject mathematics is divided into many categories if you opt for computer with mathematics then you have to give 29000 as fees but if you oppt subject any other than computer then you have to pay 23000 and these fees are per year wise not semester wise the admission fees is 1000 the scholar ship is provided for the students who belong to the vehicle section of the society and mainly those whose income is below a 3.5 lakh

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose mathematics because it is a very versatile subject and you can easily graver job with mathematics as your background subject. The curriculum prepared you very well for the further academic pursuits. One area of improvement is that there should be more real world experienced teaching. The exams are not very frequent they have been in the interval of everyone month.

faculity ratio is like in my class there are 60 students, some time they merge the classes of other sections, Litrally teacher dont care about student , the relationship of facultyto student is extremly bad, even in physics lab student cannot complete one experiment in monts out of 10 only 1 teacher is want to teach you in all subject, in my last year i found that some teacher are good , like sarita yadav, a physics teacher, she is so helping person , she has not attitude, she is very humble , she teaches very politely. there is one time exam in whole year, and in 1st year about only 35% student was passed and same condition in secord year also, and some students were also fail in lab , mean teacher also not giving numbers in lab exam , most importent marking scheme is very bad , even till last years student were unable to understant that how our marks will cut , about only 10% of student pass by 1st division

Fees and Financial Aid

1. The yearly fee of BSC in allahabad university in less than 4000 rupees likly about 3000- 3750,in each year. 2. there is only one time fee in this university , if luckly you have alloted hostel then you have to pay extra about 16000- 2000. 3. there is no diffesrence in fee if you are from general , OBC,ST,SC all have to pay same fee. 4. you have to apply UPGovernment scholarhip, and if your result more than 60% then there is a special scholarship in this university where you can apply. but amout is not more than 5000

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio in our college is quite balanced allowing students to interact comfortably with the teachers. Most faulty members are approachable and friendly especially those from the mathematical department.

Ques. Which is better, applied math at IIT Roorkee or CSE at any of the newer IITs like IIT Bhubaneswar or Jodhpur?

● Top Answer By Divya on 02 Jul 24

Ans. I am a second year student at IIT Roorkee. There are several reasons why choosing Applied Math at IITR over CSE at a newer IIT is a better option. IIT Roorkee has a strong national and international reputation as it is one of the oldest universities. Its alumni network is extensive and well-regarded. While IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Jodhpur are rapidly growing and improving, they still don’t have the same recognition or reputation as IIT Roorkee. IIT Roorkee has a highly experienced and qualified faculty, particularly in the Mathematics Department. The exposure to high-quality teaching and mentorship can significantly enhance your academic experience. The Applied Mathematics program at IIT Roorkee offers strong theoretical foundations and practical applications, preparing you for diverse career paths. IIT Roorkee has a strong placement cell and a track record of excellent placement statistics across all departments. Companies value the IIT Roorkee brand, and students from Applied Mathematics often secure positions in top-tier companies, financial institutions, and reseorganizationstions. Based on all these factors, I suggest you choose Applied Math at IIT Roorkee over CSE at IIT BBSR/Jodhpur.Read more

Ques. Which is better: IIT BHU electrical engineering, IIT Bhubaneswar CSE, IIT HYD mechanical engineering, or IIT Roorkee applied mathematics?

● Top Answer By Prerna on 28 Jun 24

Ans. I am a fourth year B.Tech CSE student at IIT Bhubaneswar. As per the NIRF Engineering Ranking 2023, IIT Bhubaneswar is placed 47th. Moreover, IIT Bhubaneswar recorded 100% placements in B.Tech CSE in 2023, and the average package stood at INR 25.18 LPA for this branch. The top recruiters at IIT Bhubaneswar for 2023 placements were- Accenture, Adobe, Amazon, Dell, Deloitte, HCL, Infosys, ISRO, among others. Here are the 2023 placement statistics for B.Tech CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar: Particulars Placement (2023) Average Salary INR 25.18 LPA Highest Salary INR 55.75 LPA Median Salary INR 20.31 LPA Lowest Salary INR 9 LPA % Batch placed 100 Other than performing well in placements, the students of B.Tech CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar get to be a part of various interesting clubs and societies. These are- The Robotics and Intelligent Systems Club (RISC), Web and Design Society (WebnD), and Neuromancers (The Programming Society).  These clubs and societies allow students to indulge in the fields of robotics, web development and programming by interacting with others and working on interesting projects.  Based on my personal experience, I can assure you that B.Tech CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar is a good choice. However, I can not comment on the other institutions/courses as I have not been a part of them.Read more

Ques. What are the placements of integrated M.Sc in math and computing at BIT Mesra?

● Top Answer By Arun Biswas on 09 Aug 23

Ans. The branch was started in 2011 and still has a long way to go. The placement scenario however seems promising since the first batch itself received the highest offer of INR 10 LPA. Most of the seniors I know who belonged to this branch were dependent on off-campus placements and got placed in SAP Labs. The reason on-campus placements for Integrated MSc in Math and Computing at BIT Mesra are not very promising is that students for this program aren't selected via JEE Mains. Big companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Walmart Labs, etc don't find these students credible enough to work in their companies. However, recently MnC has become the fastest-growing branch on campus right now with students receiving plentiful internship offers from foreign universities, IIT, and IIM. Ultimately I would like to comment that go for this branch only if you are genuinely interested in it and not as an escape route to one-year JEE preparation. Don’t go for it just because of placements you will end up being disappointed.Read more

Ques. Is an integrated MSc in mathematics and computing in BIT Mesra a good option?

● Top Answer By Deepmoy Ganguly on 09 Aug 23

Ans. Maths and Computing is considered one of the best branches after CS in IITs today. The BIT tag is also quite popular among engineering aspirants so many enthusiasts of Math and CS  go for this branch to avail the opportunities this field offers. From what I have heard, the syllabus is at par with industry needs and the faculty pool is very passionate and approachable.  Mathematics is an indispensable part of Computer Science whether it’s research in data science or development. you need to be proficient in math. This course is designed to bridge the gap between the two which it purposely does, opening gates of innumerable opportunities.  To make the most of this branch, start concentrating on Core Mathematics and programming/DS/competitive programming right from the first year. Start working on a project by the end of the first year and go for an internship in the software domain. By the end of the 4th year, you will be proficient in most CS skills making it possible for you to sit for maximum placements. So, taking IMSC in Mathematics and Computing at BIT Mesra will be a good decision if you stop comparing your branch with others. The only drawback is that it is not a technical degree but that does not matter in the long run.Read more

Ques. What should I opt for, mathematics and computing at IIT Dhanbad or computer science at IIT Palakkad?

● Top Answer By Aditi Roy on 15 Jul 23

Ans. Both institutes are relatively new and enjoy a similar status and brand value in the education world. IIT Palakkad is a new IIT while IIT Dhanbad although an old institution has recently been given the IIT title. So that leaves us with preference as the major factor in determining which institute is the right one for you. MNC is a blend of both Math and Computing concepts and is often very rigorous. The mathematical proofs and theorems form a major part of the curriculum and CS comprises just a minor portion of it. Unless you are a math lover or are genuinely interested in it, this branch might be very challenging for you as the concepts are very advanced and nothing like what you studied before. CSE on the other hand is an evergreen branch with broad prospects.  Moreover, the faculty of IIT Palakkad are from IITM also thus improving the quality of education offered. The infrastructure is excellent with great accommodation facilities.Read more

Ques. How is the course curriculum of Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Mathematics) in St Xavier's Mumbai?

● Top Answer By Gladisa Rodrigues on 23 Apr 21

Ans. Maths has been one of my favourite subjects and I always y to my career in maths. In Xavier's College there are a total of 5 professor for maths who have done their MSc and have been working in this college for the past few years. Their teaching is very good. They use various methods for teachings like using PowerPoint presentation and blackboard to giving real-life example to make the concepts very clear for students. There are revision lectures conducted for students. Also before the exam there are doubt sessions in which a student can clear his/ her doubt. For a year college conduct 2 semester in which each semester has 3 exams for a course. There is two continuous internal assessment for twenty marks each and one last semester for sixty marks each. At the end of the semester, all the mks are added and the final score is revealed. The exams are a bit difficult to challenge students intellectual skills but students are trained for such exams that they don't find difficult or stressful.Read more
