Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, was established in 1976 as a residential teaching-cum-affiliating university. MDU Rohtak is ranked 101-150 in the Overall University Rankings by NIRF. As of now, About 263 Institutions/Colleges of General Education, Engineering, Technology, Computer Sciences, and Management Sciences located in 7 districts of the State are affiliated with this University. Admission to UG and PG programs is based on merit in the qualifying examination and Entrance exam conducted by the university. MDU Rohtak offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs in the disciplines of Education, Engineering & Technology, Humanities & Arts, Law, Life Sciences, etc. Admission to UG and PG programs is based on merit in the qualifying examination and Entrance exam conducted by the university. Promotion of Science Education (POSE)-Scholarship Scheme	Eligibility: Applicant must be a regular B.Sc.(Hons.) or M.Sc. student. The Institution/College from where the previous examination has been passed for the award of scholarship should be situated in Haryana. Students must have obtained minimum 60% marks in the previous class. Further, the students have to maintain at least 60% marks and 75 % attendance throughout the continuation of this scholarship. Amount: students standing in B.Sc.(Hons.) classes will get INR 4000/- Per Month+contingencies Stipend of INR 4000/- once in a year. The amount of scholarship for the students standing in M.Sc. classes will be INR 6000/- Per Month + Contingencies Stipend of Rs.5000/- once a year.
Guru Harkrishan Educational Society Scholarship	Eligibility: Students with a minimum of 60% marks in the previous examination can apply. The income of the parents of the student should not exceed INR10,000/- Per Month. Students should not have availed of scholarships from any other source. Students studying in Professional/Vocational Courses such as Medical/Management/Technical/Scientific/Engg./Computer Technology/Graduation in Commerce, Education & Post-graduation, etc. shall be eligible to apply. Amount: Tuition fee + a minimum of 25 % of the tuition fee subject to a maximum of INR 600/- per month at the discretion of the society.

I dislike this university is in the rohtak
There is language barrier other states students face difficulty
This university is in rohtak in Haryana there is rude behaviour

Academic structure of the college

As the cse is the high demanding and have craze in society the curriculum is toogood in university proper exams , classes are scheduled, competition, fest , meet up , there is so many activities which university conduct political leaders , influencer often come in university

Internship opportunities provided by the college

It's totally depends on you university can only give the degree but you have toh crack the placement university will only complete semen take exams and provide you degree but you have to focus on your skill and crack the job

Placement scenario in campus

There is not so good campus placement some companies like daffodils give the campus placement there is not so good crowd of students so not so good placement but some students crack placement and got placement approx 6 lakh many students apply off campus and got a good and high paying job

Fees of the course per semester and scholarship available

As I am in CSE the fees of cse students is approx 40000 per semester and the sc st candidates payment only 1 rupees as the tution and the tfw candidate payment only tution approx 10000 there is other scholarship and reservation for kashmiri migrants

Students view on campus life

I have a good experience here like there is many facilities which attracts there is good opportunities of drama and theatre and there is Vivekananda library haryana biggest library and sports complex for sports enthusiasts

Students view on hostel facilities

Hostel facility is too good here and mess facility is too good there is hostels for both boys and girls 1 hostels for boys and 10 hostels for girls so there is no problem in accommodation for those students who comes from other states

Students view on faculties

There is some teachers who are too good at teaching and punctual always take care of students and their studies always take classes proper marking schemes and exams but some teachers are not so good never take classes

Admission

I choose this college over other colleges because I got a tfw seat here due to this I have to pay minimal fees and the other reason there is my elder brother and the main reason is this university provides many facility like drama society, sports complex

Night Life

As I live in hostel night life is too good here if you want tu study you can go to the reading hall which is 24*7 open and there is facility of Swiggy zomato you can go out of the campus for night out

The campus environment is good and greenery and space to relax
computer labs and library are well maintained with decent resources

Admission:

I chose MDU Rohtak because its affordable fee structure decent faculty base and recognition as a government state university. The degree has good value for higher studies and public sector opportunities that campus environment facilites like library and labs and hostel availablity also influenced by choice I had applied to a few other colleges as well , some private engineering colleges in Delhi NCR amity Galgotias i even got admission, but the fees were very high, 3-4 times more than MDU and placement was not significantly better to justify the cost

College provide us various practical in labs in nearby hospitals training is given in various camps. OPD facility of my college is also very good

College infrastructure is very bad. Building are so old no AC in classrooms no proper ventilation.

That year this college cutoff got above my score so i alloted to gaur brahman so i decided to take in this college. The only way to enter this college is through neet joscaa counselling.

My campus's infrastructure is quite aesthetic, it is open and air and we don't feel there as we are tied at any place.

Dislikes

The first thing i dislike is that after the entry at college,they didn't allow us to go out without parents permission.
The fests are celebrated department vise which i like a little less, because i wanna explore them too

I chose Rao pahlad singh college for my B.Tech in CSE after careful consideration of several factors . One of the key aspect was the affordability and accessibility of the college compared to other private college. While i did apply to few govt . And top- tier private colleges, I couldn't secure addmission. In some of them due to either high cutoff , competitive entrance exam, or limited seat availability in my preffered branch . The addmission process at RPS was relatively straightforward and efficient.it include submitting academic records, entrance exam score and a counselling process where i could choose my preferred branch based on merit . The admission staff were helpful during the documentation and onboarding stages, which made the process smoother.

The registration fee is INR 500 for General Category and INR 125 for SC/BC Category students of Haryana State only. ?MDU is conducting Round 5 Counselling to fill-up 1 vacant seat in BPharm in its Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Vacant Seat List will be released on Nov 28 and the 5^th Round of Counselling is scheduled on Nov 29 from 9 AM onwards. Candidates selected for admission in this round must pay the fees by Nov 30, 2024.
