The course curriculum is designed to teach the basic and fundamental subjects of computer science to students. In each subject, the difficulty level is below moderate. There are some subjects which meet the industry standards and prepare students for jobs in the market. But many subjects are outdated, and their syllabus is not up to the standard mark of industry requirements. There is an urgent need to update the syllabus and make it more industry demands-oriented. All about IGU

Likes

There will be more time to utilise after classes for study and personal growth .
Complete day classes usually done in after 12 pm or just 1 pm.
The labs are well equipped with computers and have more space and less people who are concentrated on their study .

Dislikes

The teachers and mentorship of colleges is very poor.
There will be no extra circular activity other than classes like contest , hackathon.
Network and wifi are very slow and sometimes there is no network.

Students view on course curriculum

Course curriculum is overall ok but the real world application is zero . The job and scope are better in this engineering course but the chances of oncampus placement in this college is zero . Changements can be done for practical and real life things to organise contest of coding and hackathons .

Fees of the course per year

Yearly fees: ?52,800 Tuition fees :?15730 Admission fees:?26520 Development fees:?5030 Lab fees :?4500 My batchmate fees of sc/st category is ?500 And the scholarship is available only for sc or st students and then the yearly fees is completely free for them . There is no criteria scholarship for the students who are merit and the students also are not aware of this any type of scholarship.

Events organized, clubs and facilities available in the campus

Clubs like coding , drama , fashion ,dance and singing , sports etc are introduced this year .but before 2024, there was no clubs and a normal campus life with no music concert , no seminars of best faculty for career, interview cracking and all. The books are much more available to students and have all categories of books .

Students view on hostel facilities

I am living in a hostel and the hostel are very affordable and in each of every students. The menu is decided by the mess committee. The mess committee is created by the offical faculty . And the menu and per month diet for each student is handled by mess committee. The registration process is started by first filling a offline hostel form with attached documents and then office supervisor will check all the details and criteria for you then a list will be generated on website of college and then fees to be registered and then students can be shift to hostels . In hostels bed and almirah are given with wifi facilities and the room is well furnished. The quality of food is very good because the students and offices faculty have the same food here

Students view on faculties

Faculty to student ratio is 1:70 . Every teacher is approachable here but sometimes they don't have exact that knowledge about many things like technology and roadmaps and what developement to be .The best faculty here is Mrs Savita Sheoran ,head of department of computer science engineering. She is kind and approachable to students and almost have the solution to students issue . Talking about the exam , there is minimum 5 subjects here and maximum cam be 7 and question papers are quite easy . There are overall four units in each subject and we have to attempt each question from each unit . And the fail ratio is more here because of the checking and marking of exam is very degraded.Courss curriculum is somehow good but there is no knowledge of extra things like hackathon how to tackle interview and what to do to get better job opportunity.

Talking about admission in other colleges, I applied for Haryana counselling of jee mains. I got admission in GJU HISAR in Btech branch of computer science engineering. But due to non refund policy of this college, I have to be reject all the admission. The admission process of this college is simple and jee mains score card is compulsory for getting admission right now .

Labs quality was very good and labs are equipped with latest PC's.

Dislikes

Department's building is old and there are no exposure to good market near university.
Location of institution is 10km away from main city Rewari and transportation services are very bad.

Admission:

I applied in Delhi University, MDU Rohtak, Kurukshetra University and IGU rewari. I got confirmed admission in MDU, KUK and IGU. I prefer IGU because its location was more suitable for me and it was meeting all my requirements. I rejected MDU and KUK due to thier location and placements. In my university, admission is on entrance basis but sometimes if there are less number of application forms, then it is on merit basis. The eligibility for MCA course is Bachelors in any stream with compulsory Mathematics in all semesters. The overall admission process was easy and smooth. My dream college for MCA was Delhi university but unfortunately, I didn't admission there.

There is a canteen in the college campus.

Dislikes

The environent is not like studios. Students don't really focus on studies.
Washrooms are not properly cleaned so it is quite unhygienic.
The attendance ratio is very low. Students don't attend classes.

Admission:

I did not apply for any other colleges. I only applied for this college as it is convenient for me to travel to this college. The eligibility is to get good percentage in your graduation. Cut off is almost 70-75% every year and it is increasing year by year.

Likes

Parks and cafeteria where you can spend time with friends.
AC labs and library in which you can spend full day fir self study.
No attendance strict rules. You can easily bunk.

Admission:

At that time when I take the admission in this, I dont even need the JEE mains exam. I get admission directly. But now if you want to take the admission, you have to crack jee mains exam. These is because of high demand of computer science.

Campus is very well maintained and cleaned .
Campus is really good and peaceful environment.
Library contain a lots of books according to the students requirement.

Dislikes

Strictness should there on tha main gate entrance.
Non academic staff was not that much good.

Admission:

I have not applied for any other courses, as I was interested in this specific course only. The admission process doesn't have any entrance exam, as there is direct admission process. The exams are taken semester wise, in about 5-6 months.

My college life.

Likes

There is a lot of Students support services.
Green and fresh garden to sit and a very good canteen.
Social life and the Campus Atmosphere are very good.

Dislikes

unmangeable workload is something that not occur.

Choosing a college is a highly personal decision, One of the my primary reason is when i compare others from my college i found that in otherone my one become more efficient. Thats why i chose this college.

IGU - A Journey

Likes

It's infrastructure is being developed to the best.
It is located suitably and campus is next level.

Dislikes

There are less restrictions for the students.
Non teaching staff's some members are too lazy and least interested for completing the work.

Admission:

I also applied in KLP College, Delhi University etc. I passed all the entrances with flying colours. But I chose I.G.U as my learning platform as firstly admission procedure is quite simple. It's location is traveling friendly.

Not expected good college life

Dislikes

College won't provide any practical or industry related training or not organised any event easily.
Library size too big but you won't easily find your syllabus boo
College is 12km from city area.Bus service is available but there have too much rush in bus.

Admission:

I applied different collections outside from my city but my parents didn't allowed so I had to taken admission in this college. You can't get direct admission you have to clear University own entrance before taking admission.

Infrastructure and campus life is good but there is no placement offers and lack of lab work

Admission:

I applied in DU bit didn't get there so I took admission here because their course fees is affordable. I got admission through entrance exam conducted by the university. Only one entrance exam is conducted for all 4 courses of life sciences (Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology and environmental science) present in the university then based on the students preference and marks obtained students get selected.

IGU provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various fields such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Law, Education, and Computer Applications, but it does not have a BFA program in its course offerings.

IGU Meerpur offers UG programs viz. B.Tech, in CSE, LLB, B.Pharm, B.Pharm (LEET) and BHMCT program. At PG level, it offers MA with 7 specializations, M.Sc. with 8 disciplines, M.Tech in CSE, MCA, MBA, M.Com, M.Com (Integrated), MPES and LLM program in its curriculum. It also offers M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines.

Selection to B.Tech is done on the basis of JEE Main.
For LLB, B.Pharm and M.Com Integrated, admission is done on the basis of Entrance Test by IGU.
Selection to MA in English, Hindi, History, Political Science, M.Sc. in Geography, MBA, M.Com, LLM and MPES is done on the basis of Entrance Test by KUK.
For BHMCT, MA in Yoga and Education, MCA and MCA Lateral entry, candidates are selected on the basis of Academic merit by IGU.
Selection to M.Sc. is done on the basis of Entrance Test by MDU.
For M.Tech, candidates are selected on the basis of GATE score, and admission to vacant seats is done on the basis of merit.
Admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil is done on the basis of Entrance Examination conducted by the university.

Candidates must apply online and submit the hard copy of the application form along with the required documents to the college office in person. The application form is made available online on the website of the University. The payment of the application fee is to be done in online mode only.
