WCTM B.Tech CSE FAQs
Ques. What is the difference between B.Tech CSE and the newer B.Tech specializations like AI&DS, AI&ML, and Robotics & AI at WCTM? Which one should I choose?
Ans. WCTM offers B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) as the core program, along with newer specializations like AI & Data Science (AI&DS), AI & Machine Learning (AI&ML), Computer Science & Design (CSD), and Robotics & Artificial Intelligence. The core B.Tech CSE covers a broad curriculum including programming, data structures, algorithms, OS, DBMS, networks, and software engineering - making it versatile for a wide range of IT careers. The specialized tracks focus more deeply on their respective domains from the first year itself. If you are clear about wanting to work in AI/ML or Robotics, the specialized tracks offer more focused learning. However, B.Tech CSE remains the most recognized and widely accepted degree for software engineering roles in top IT companies. The fee for all CSE department specializations is the same at INR 52,500 per semester.
Ques. How is the placement record for B.Tech CSE students at WCTM? What companies come for campus recruitment?
Ans. WCTM has a strong placement track record for B.Tech CSE students. The college claims 100% placement track record with 300+ companies visiting campus annually. Students can also appear for GATE after completing B.Tech from WCTM for admission to IITs/NITs for M.Tech.
Ques. What are the Centres of Excellence at WCTM and how do they benefit B.Tech CSE students?
Ans. WCTM has invested significantly in industry-grade Centres of Excellence that directly benefit CSE students. Students get trained on real industry equipment and software, which significantly enhances their employability and gives them a competitive edge during placements.
Ques. What is the admission process for B.Tech CSE at WCTM if I haven't appeared in JEE Main?
Ans. If you haven't appeared in JEE Main, you can still apply for B.Tech CSE at WCTM through direct admission. WCTM accepts direct admissions based on 10+2 marks for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria (minimum 45% in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics). You can fill the online enquiry/admission form on the WCTM website (www.wctmgurgaon.com) or visit the campus directly.
