Course Curriculum Overview

4

I love mathematics, that's why I chose this course. This curriculum will teach you very well how to use mathematics in real world applications. It'll also prepare you for rigorous study which you'll need in upcoming years.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for first year is 1,860.00 rupees. Tuition:900, Admission Fees 100, Registration:25, Library Deposit: 50, Sports:100, Lab. /WS Fees:600,Session Charges:50,Caution Deposit:25 and Health card - 10. Comparability cheap. The scholarships available - SVMCM, and the university foundation provides Freeship.

Campus Life

5

There is Sanskriti fest by Science Federation Students Union. I think it'll be good. There are lots of books in the libraries and they're very accessible. You have projectors and computer laboratories. It's very good. You can play anything in the campus. There's lots of sports here - cricket, football, table tennis, carrom , everything. There's SFSU, AFSU and FETSU - the student unions for Science Faculty Students, Arts Faculty Students, and Engineering Students respectively. They impact students' exam dates and festivals and many more.

Admission

I got shortlisted in Presidency University and Viswa Bharati University with 13 and 14 ranks respectively. I was already admitted in Jadavpur University back then so i didn't proceed with Admission in any of them. To get into JU, you'll need to fill up a online form and you'll get the admit card. Pass the admission test and you'll be shortlisted and then you'll get admitted if you have seats. The admission experience is a breeze.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio matters on the class size. It's variable. The faculty is nice to students and approachable (except some of them). I like most of the faculties. SG, PKR, AB are the best profs. I didn't like AD and RB because of their strictness. There are seven exams, easy to score but difficult to answer. Half of the students fail to clear them. The course curriculum is relevant.

Night Life

5

There's a gym, five canteens, department libraries and a central library. I'm not in a hostel. The campus is open 24*7. The famous hangout places here is Suruchi Canteen and Jheel Par, famous for romance. The locality is mostly safe to roam around at night but not so much after midnight.

Other Applied Colleges

Presidency University | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)

I was already allotted a seat in JU

The mathematics honours curriculum influence my decision to choose these course because of its strong emphasis on core subjects like calculus algebra and analysis which build solid theoretical foundation and logical thinking skills. The course prepared students will for higher studies and comparative exams by focusing on conceptual clarity proves and problem solving some topics also offer practical relevance in field suggest statistics data analysis and applied sciences. Curriculum can be improved by including more application oriented subjects computational tools an interactive teaching method such as problem solving sessions and project based learning

Cirrculam is more theoritical just. There is negligible practical life lessons. Just like normal college, u study just to get degree. The whole cirriculam should be improved. Examination is held only once - midsems, endsems thats all.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.
