Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college

Dislikes

Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

Jadavpur University - My Review - from a - BSc Maths 1st Year student

Likes

The teachers are very attentive to students' queries. They teach very well.
The campus is big and green, there are lots of canteens and lots of things to do here.
The senior-junior bonding in campus is immaculate.

Dislikes

The course is too rigorous. Studying is hectic for some students.
During exam, the teachers are not at all lenient.
You don't get enough time to study before the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love mathematics, that's why I chose this course. This curriculum will teach you very well how to use mathematics in real world applications. It'll also prepare you for rigorous study which you'll need in upcoming years.

College library improvement like to very important because all student did not buying their books for thare financial condition to improvement college library some more books in available in library
College social improvement so good teacher student and principal college management are so good there is the no company about this some problem is happened but not a serious condition as well send every one is the helpful
Teaching method oneplus quality not a problem as well and senior student also helpful any problem they also solve any my education problem was solved educated any problem

Dislikes

Some senior student rudely behaviour on junior student and their ragging junior student like me improve
College management like to improve all student problems as soon as possible there is very getting some problems to solve this
Summer time student are dry condition and heat to like improvement to classroom condition to very cool

I choose this course because the curriculum combines clear theoretical foundations with strong practical exposure, and hands on session influenced by decision most. I felt curriculum was designed not just to teach concepts but to help students understand how those concepts are applied in the real situation

Review of Jadavpur University

I appreciated the environment and improvements are needed in infrastructure and the entire system.
Campus life is cool u all will enjoy it.
Most of the faculties are good except one or two and the placement officer are really in good shape which is proved by our stats every year despite not receiving funds from the state for the past 5 years.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is really not up to the mark in terms of other IITs and NITs.
College administration doesn't function properly.
Branch shifting after 1st year is not allowed.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements and there are plenty of companies that come like in my branch there 35-40 companies (core) came and no of offers were 30.Placement percentage was around 95%.Median package was around 7.5lpa and highest was 15lpa.Well my plans are not decided yet, currently in my 2nd year.

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I appreciated the importance of education that Jadavpur University always emphasized upon. The faculty and the teaching, the courses have helped me practice my research skills.
The department specifically was holistic by invoking extra-curriculars and co-curriculars which included seminars and conferences. These often arrived with the benefits of cultural performances.
The university shaped my understanding of the socio-political world and I shall forever remain grateful. It taught me resilience, circumstantial grounds of understanding and helped me become brave enough to remain out of the mainstream and its box.

Dislikes

The administration perhaps is the most tedious segment of the entire university. It causes unnecessary delays and can be frustrating.
The syllabus for Comparative Literature could use some changes, with respect to including newer aspects of literature, moving away from few of the classically foregrounded courseworks.

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

Likes

The student bonding ratio is quite good considering all senior junior interactions
The campus presence is quite socially good.
The union culture helps students raise their voice.

Dislikes

The lab equipment in some labs is inadequate or bad.
The exams can be completely controlled by the students.
The inaccurate resemblance of our college due to some political aggression.

Placement Experience:

The placements of Jadavpur University is very impressive. They've been offered typically good packages in this recession. The placements of the circuital branches is really good which include cse, etce, ee, power and iee.

College infrastructure is pretty good as well
The Return on Investment of the college is very high compare to any other institutes in India
The campus is not that big but the of playground is pretty decent and the bengali culture is nicely observed.

Dislikes

The internship leaves provided by the college is only for 2 months and not acceptable by the college for more than 2 months of internship.
The infrastructure is getting old but reinforcement is not regularly provided.Many rooms are not available with the AC.
The lab instruments are not working properly and needs to be renewed.

Placement Experience:

After the third year end sem, typically students are considered as almost fully ready for campus placements Hundreds of companies come to Jadavpur for placements (including National & Multi-national companies such as: Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Texas, Coca-cola, Wipro, Airtel, TCS) In 2025, the highest package is 1.2 crore from the CSE Department form the company "RUBRIK PRO"

My College: JD Birla Institute

JD Birla college is one such place where there is place for everyone and helps to nurture people's passion and love for academics, extra curriculum activities.
JD Birla helped me for studies, my love for dance.
the environment was very conducive for a holistic development and it was very protective simultaneously.

Dislikes

There was nothing really to not like about my college.
the expenses for the subject could have been reduced a little.
the campus could have a little more big.

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester, the students become eligible for placements. There are a lot of companies hiring students from our college including Delloite, CRY, Small Wonders. Students who were genuinely interested to work after studies went ahead with placements. However, most of the students go ahead with higher studies.

My Experience as an MA Graduate in Jadavpur University

Likes

The campus encourages one to think differently, consider experimenting, and develop new perspectives.
Jadavpur University is an Institution of Eminence that excels in the academic world-- from STEM to Humanities.
The educators have a wonderful approach towards their students and relationships and built for a lifetime.

Dislikes

Lack of campus security that invites extreme situations. Trespassers misuse the space.
Extreme political activities at times that disrupt the campus environment.
Lack of infrastructure in places and no hygience.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for camous placemens from the third semester onwards. Companies that have visited the Departmet of Comparative Literature witth campus placements offers are SVF, Hoichoi, Radio Mirchi, Papertrue, LearningMate, among others. Highest package offered by companies is 8.5 LPA Percentage of students getting placements is 85% My plans after getting my MA degree is to go for a PhD.

EXPERENCE OF JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY AS A STUDENT .

The Overall Faculty is good. proffesors are very supportive and always encouraged the students. t
JU gives the students a large career opportunity. the senior-junior relation is also a importatant thing. many students got prestigious opportunities
JU is a premium institute . so it also motivate you to do something new. the environment is very progressive.

Dislikes

mostly dislikable thing is the infrastructure. for lake of maintainance and look after it looks like a old heritage building.
most of the lab became old and that needed modern lab equipment. many equipments are broken for which student does not get the opportunity
the sheduling of result out and some other official activities are not on time or not in proper way. there is no exact duration for result out after exam

Placement Experience:

there is a vast opportunity for on campus placement and internships. there are many raputated software company which come for hiring on campus are GOOGLE, AMAZON, VISA, NVIDIA, WELLS FARGO, MICRON, OPTUM, ORACLE AND 100+ other software companies. there is also a vast opportunity for core enginnering department. PSUs like GAIL,BPCL,EIL comes for on campus placement and other big companies like TEXAS INSTRUMENTS, VEDANTA, HONEYWELL, ABG, TATA group, BECHTEL, COCA COLA and many companies comes for hiring. overall placement is very good
