Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college

Dislikes

Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

ALL YOU WANT TO KNOW BEFORE JOINING JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY.

Likes

Maximum professors are very good and have great Student-Teacher interaction.They are very knowledgeable also.
There is a graet scope for extracurricular activities.If you are interested in these Jadavpur University may be the dream college for You
The clubs are very active and there is no strict attendence policy.

Dislikes

The gender ratio of Saltlake Campus is very poor but in Jadavpur Campus it is decent.
The college internal politics and its influence on the college administration.
The hostels have very limited seats.So maximu studnets donot get it and have to stay outside in Pgs ar Mess.

Placement Experience:

Students can sit for On Campus Internships after the completion of 4th semester. They can sit for On Campus placements after the completion of 6th semester. All the major companies such as Google, Amazon ,IBM ,Salesforce visit the campus every Year.Amazon gave the highest number of offers 25 last year. For Information Technology 11 got Amazon and 3 got Google. Amazon gives 46.7 LPA and Google gives 57LPA to students of our college.

Great Internship Opportunities

Likes

The Fees and Discipline of the College Authority.
Behaviour of Faculties and other members.
The Safety of Students and other eqquipments of college.

Dislikes

The Wall Maintanance of the college buildings.
The Events of the college and social visit is too low because of political issues inside campus.

Placement Experience:

No student who completes the course is unemployed and placement rate is 90% for this college and I am proud of being a student of this college. I planned to get more oppurtunities to get into Jadavpur Universsities Placement to other companies like adobe, microsoft and google.

Our collage's fees is minimum so poor family background like my they are very helpful . Our collage is also best in education . In our engineering deperment also provide best placement and best placement with best salary ,

Our collage's infrastructure is not best like IIT .

Placement Experience:

It is a general course. So there is no campus placements for bachelor students. But in the masters, some really good offers come from different companies which are subject related or from edtech companies. They will mainly give you employement as trainee of Reseach and development section. The offers generally start from 6lpa. Some companies focused for engineering students also allow masters in chemistry students to appear in their selection procedure. In the recent years, some students have got offers of 12 lpa even.

An Honest review of Jadavpur University

Likes

An independent College Life : Jadavpur University has no attendance criteria for the students to get them more exposure to the practical life rather than engineering. For that reason, students get extra time for preparing for competitive exams.
Highest Return of Investment: As I mentioned it has nearly 10000 fees for the whole course, the placement is not cheap like that. The placement ratio is quite good in every branch rather than only for CSE and IT branches.
Great Fests: Every year Kolkata's biggest fests held here which encourages the student towards cultural activities and enhance their talents. There's also tech fests in which there are many hackathons and workshops held in an organised way.

Dislikes

Course Curriculum: Like the other engineering colleges of India, JU has also a little bit old syllabus. There should be some modern technological subjects in the curriculum for the industry ready engineers.
Infrastructure: Jadavpur University's infrastructure is not that good if you compare it with others. The lab equipments are very old and classrooms are not so good. The campus area is also not as big as IITs.
Language Barrier: As Jadavpur University is situated in Kolkata, West Bengal, almost every professor teaches the students in Bengali and English. This is normal for the bengal students but it is difficult to understand for the students from outside.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is very outstanding.The students are eligible for internships from the 3rd year. The big giants like Google, Facebook, Netflix, amazon, Tata steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, Caterpillar ,ITC, Pwc, Airbus and many more come in the college for campus placements. In software section, the highest package is 1.8 Cr offered by facebook in the year 2022. Apart from this the core section has also quite good packages. The highest package of my department, mechanical engineering, is 14 lpa offered by Caterpillar. Not only the packages, the no. of students in the batch placed is quite well like in my department the placement percentage is 100%. My plan is to get a good placement offer from the campus placements after getting the degree.

Jadavpur University: Your place to shine

Likes

The campus life is quite happening and good.
The fests are lively and you get to hone your technical skills there.
The professors are friendly and you will be getting multiple research opportunities here.

Dislikes

The teaching method is very conventional and old-fashioned.
The overall infrastructure not up to the mark, mostly because of its low fees.
The courses might be considered difficult if you are to target more than 9 CGPA.

Placement Experience:

There are two levels at which placements happen, one is the internship placements and another is the full time placements. You ar eeligible for intern placements from 3rd year and for full time placaments from 4th year as it is the norm all around India. In the CSE program almost all get placed. The average CTC is around 20 lakhs per annum.

The university consistently ranks high in national and international.
The fee structure at JU is relatively affordable compared to other universities.
JU offers research opportunities for students.

Dislikes

Some classroom need to be improved with modern equipment.
The administrative processes at JU need a improvement.
Hostel facilities like food quality and hygiene needs improvement.

1. Students typically become eligible for campus placements from their last/Final semester of study. 2. Top companies visited like Jio,HSBC,Google,Microsoft 3. Over 1000 students placed and average package offers 10 LPA 4. After completing the MA in Education couse , I am going for Higher studies like Ph.D. or working as research scholars.

Jadavpur University - Best Engineering College under WBJEE

The atmosphere of our campus is very well. There are greeneries and fields which makes it beautiful.
Jadavpur University is one of the best place in terms of social interactions. Various scholars from whole India as well as foreigners visit here and give their valuable insights.
The faculty of teaching is extremely high quality. Faculty is very enriched of knowledge and they helps a lot.

Dislikes

The campus should have been more clean. More waste management is needed in the campus.
The infrastructure is good but not too much. Some machines are old dated and needs to be replaced. As well as new equipments are needed in labs.
The course curriculum is good but it needs improvements now. With the advancement of time it became outdated a little bit.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements in their final year. Many companies come here to choose students for working. Some of them are Amazon, Facebook, Google, Bajaj, Adobe, Wipro, L&T, CESC and many more. More than 1000 offers were made across all Engieering branches. Approximately over 93% students got their placements. The highest offer was of 1.8 Cr PA by Facebook. The lowest was around 5 LPA. The average is around 11-12 LPA. I am also eager for the placements and preparing for that.

Jadavpur University - Where Dreams Come True

Likes

The teaching faculty , an enormous alumnii strength
Student Union to address our problems and helps in conducting different college events
Co curricular activities are given special attention

Dislikes

Lab equipments should be improved and some parts should be furnished
Develop the college and to have a better infrascture

My college Placement Records is very good. I am mainly telling about the placement record yearwise In 2023 , the highest was 84 lakhs (LPA) and average was 11.08 lakhs (LPA) In 2022 , the highest was 183 lakhs (LPA) and average was 11.21 lakhs (LPA) In 2021 , the highest was 58 lakhs (LPA) and average was 8.89 lakhs(LPA) Many companies visit the campus like Google , Amazon , Samsung , Paytm , Tata Digital , Morgan Stanley , AirBus , TCS

How My Journey Continuing In Jadavpur University

Likes

During my 2 years journey I mostly liked the Teachers dedication to teach studends.
The campus is widely spread and full of varieties of trees.
Most of the classrooms in campus have AC systems.

Dislikes

There are many political parties in JU and they've conflicts between each others.
In previous year year there was a raggiig culture in hostels.
Some of the buildings backsides materials are slowely removing, due not no renovation.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are more than 50 companies visited every year for Mechanical placements. Some of those I now can remember is Catarpiller, ZS, Reliance, Bajaj, Airbus, Forbes Marshall, Cognizant, ITC, AB InBev, Hero Motocorp, more.. Highest package in this year is 26 LPA in core companies and average pacage is 10-12 LPA. Almost 90-98% students who applied for companies get placed. I got a summer internship in Forbes Marshall company. Afer that I definately choose a placement so that I can get a bump in my carrier and then I've desire to complete Masters Degree.
