Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college

Dislikes

Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

A Brief Review of Jadavpur University , Kolkata

Likes

The faculty is very good and helpful . They are very learned and experienced in their respective fields and have many contacts in the industry .
The peer group is very good and supportive . They treat each other like a family and always ready to help each other.
The library is huge and has vast collection of books , journals , magazines , research papers etc . Books can be borrowed for 2 weeks easily.

Dislikes

The campus is not very big as it is situated in the main city of kolkata . So , there is not much to explore.
The gender ratio is very poor . In a class of 150 students , only around 12-15 girls are present.
Smoking is a big issue in the campus . Also , there is lack of hygiene and cleanliness.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are very good . Our campus has a placement cell which assists the students in getting placements .Students become eligible for internships from 3rd year onwards , while the campus placements happen in the 4th year . Big MNCs and companies like Google , Microsoft , Oracle , Texas Instruments etc visit our college. For almost all branches , about 95% students get placed . The packages are quite good . The average and highest package for electrical department are around 10-11 LPA and 35-40 LPA respectively , with major recruiters being CESC , Texas instruments , Bechtel etc . The average and highest package for CSE department is 20 LPA and 65-70 LPA respectively . Year after year , the placemets at JU have been impressive.

It's famous for its return of investment. Actually people says Jadavpur has better ROI than many IITs. You can grab great placement though giving just 12k fees.
Jadavpur University located at the main kolkata town , so it's accessible for transportation and also we have Jadavpur station that is just beside the university. Also the campus is fully greenery everywhere and calm to visit.
As it's a university you can meet across different types of people, some may be from arts, general sciences, literature or some may be PhD scholar, researcher. You can build a great connections to different sectors with the university itself.

Dislikes

Honestly saying nothing there to unlike about the university in such a cheap cost and great roi . But our infrastructure isn't too good to compete with the world class universities. There aren't AC in classrooms and the benchs are also old and broken
You don't get a good girls to boys ratio in the engineering departments . Actually there aren't any kind of reservations for girls in our university. Our sex ratio is up . It's like 10:1 or even much in some branches.

Placement Experience:

Placements is the main focus of our college. In some core branches the b placements percentage goes upto 95% and with a median package of 10lpa . And in cse or it the median package goes to 23 lpa or above. Also the highest package of this year is 1.2 cpa .

THE REALITY OF JD BIRLA INSTITUTE.

Likes

The gender ratio is good of 1:1 , there are students will all the religions and cast .
The faculty is really good and experienced with professors having experience of teaching in the United States of America.
The college timing is really good for the bba course.

Dislikes

The campus is really small with no space for extra curricular activities
The management of the college is not good there's a constant delay in important notices
Only the bba course was coed but now they have made some other courses coed as well

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester. EY GDS , DELTAX , DITTO INSURANCE AND HSBC GSC have visited our campus as of now. Highest package was 6lpa and the average is 4 lpa. There's a high percentage of students getting placed and students applying. My plan is MBA

Some insight information about Jadavpur University.

Likes

The best thing about this university is its low and affordable fee .Any student from any financial background can study here without worry about their finances.
The university almost guarantees you a placement in a well known reputed company. If a student has managed to put some decent numbers on his grade cards as well has acquired enough industrial skills and knowledge.
The faculties here are one of the best in the country. You will find some of the most amazing and fascinating teachers you have ever met in your life.

Dislikes

The university does not provides hostel facilities to each student. Only some students(like 10-12) of each department and year get hostel that too by a selection process.
The infrastructure here is not so great as compared to other teir-1 colleges of the country.
The library and canteen services are only restricted to the working hours.

Placement Experience:

The placements here is the centre of attraction for students to take admission in this college. The placement season usually starts from the beginning of the 7th semester while for the internship opportunities the students are eligible usually after the 4th semester. Some of the name of the companies that used to visited our college are:- For tech:- Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Schrodinger, Oracle, gupshup, BNY Mellon, Samsung and many more. For Electronics and Core:- Texas Instruments, Ixana, Samsung, Synopsis, Reliance, Mahindra, Vedanta, Cairn, Haldia petrochemicals and many more For consultancy:- PWC, Deloitte, EY ,etc Highest package overall: 1.4cr per annum Average package overall: 11 l.p.a More than 90% of the students gets placed overall.

Placement Experience:

Total 42 student are present near about 20 to 25 student are placed by placement cell and rest of the students are applying for PhD or our alumni are more strong so easily students are find best job. So overall are good.

The experience of the teachers and the way they teach is very proactive and attractive
The students are very helpful, especially seniors and help out a lot with notes and pyqs
The atmosphere of the university and the facilities are amazing.

Placement Experience:

The placements are very good and many multinational companies visit the college with above par offers for deserving students. Overall the placemt system is very encouraging and help the students along in their career a lot. The packages are very competitive and percentage of placed students are extremely high

Opportunities in Jadavapur University.

Likes

The environment of campus is so much student friendly.
The faculty members are highly qualified and they make us learn new things in the easiest way.
There are lots project work related opportunities.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs to be improved in future.

Placement Experience:

You have to maintain a decent CGPA then you can sit for campus placement. Lots of companies came for campus drives like-Google, PWC, CESC, Tata Power, LNT. The average package is 10 lakh per annum for core companies.

The fee structure is very affordable and scholarship opportunities are abundant. The authorities are not strict with the timing of fee payment. The infrastructure is comparable to IITs and in some departments even better.
With the placement scenario sound and favourable for all departments, the return of investment is the highest in the country.Top MNCs come to the campus for placement.
The campus life is vibrant with ample free space. No restrictions are there whatsoever.

Dislikes

The hostel lacks good infrastructure albeit the low fees.
The washrooms in the campus are not well maintained.
The admission process can be long-drawn but it is very transparent.

Companies come to the campus for internships at the beginning of 3rd year and for placements at the end of 3rd year. Companies like Delloite, Airbus,ExxonMobil GOOGLE, META, AMAZON, CATERPILLAR, ACCENTURE, PWC, EY, ZS, GoldmanSachs, BHEL, ITC, ABInBev, SAMSUNG, PAHARPUR, KIA, HONDA, TEGA, HUL, Forbes Marshall, and a lot of other multinational and prominent national companies come to the campus.Departments like ME, EE secure 100 percent placements but all the departments have a rate above 90 percent. Average package varies, but usually it is around 10-12 LPA. Profiles like FTE, Data analyst, SWE, etc are offered among many others. HIghest packages often grab national headlines. I would personally like to accept a job offer than going for higher study immediately post graduation

at first, its very minimal fees.its placement and ROI.the senior-junior bonding is very good.
teacher-student bonding is also very good and supportive

my college placement is very much good. 5 th sem you are eligible for Internship & after completion of 6 th sem you are eligible for campus placement. huge number of companies visit and huge no. of offers made. highest package 1.2 cr and average package is 14-18 lakh which is vary from department to department. 98% of total student placed. my will is to be join a good company .

The teachers are very good here , the main thing over this point is that the disciplinary subject teachers are too good to be true and are serious awesome

Dislikes

Some subject teachers were not allocated so visiting faculy was approved but some teachers came very late resulting in late start of subject lessons

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is no specialisation from our year onwards because of the new NEP , so yeah we have to study all three main subjects , finance , HR and marketing which becomes a bit stressful for us , and somewhere we are getting taught EVS which is the syllabus of class 3 student
