yearly fees of Power Engineering department is 2450 /-. tution fees - 900/- , Lab & Workshop Fees - 1500 /- ,sessional charge- 50/-. the fees of all batchmates is same irrelevant of category. there are several scholarship like SVMCM( 60000per year) , Freeship ( which is given to the candidate who have faced financial issue but it is given to 10% student of university.the yearly fees is refunded in this condition), JU Alumini scholarship(it is the flexible amount whose range is from 300-30,000/ year.it is given by considering the financial problem rating),etc.

- Campus Life is so chill. If you are not in class, none can interrupt you to enojoy in campus.
- Student driven placement helps students to have transparent idea of placement conpanies, packages and the whole process.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure of classroom is a thing to worry. You will not be getting a premium feeling in classroom
- Sometimes student politics in campus make life little bit hard for students. (Not all the time, and also sometimes it helps students)

Tuition fee is very less. You will be getting degree with 10000 rs only. Hostel fee is 25 rs per month. Govt scholarship is there and also student can avail alumni scholarship, which can cover all your 4 year expenditure of the course.

It's very cheap as the fees for 4years is 10k.. So it is very cheap for studying engineering None as there has been a lot less time since I joined and there are different types of scholarship programs...I am not eligible for canpusing as I am in first year

- The distance of the Jadavpur Campus and SL campus is a lot.

- Every single thing in my college is really special to me . I like everything of my college and I can't perticullarly choose one thing.
- I like the studies, the teaching faculty,the environment of Jadavpur University.

- Some things I don't like about my college which includes the excessive free mind thinking of the students and also they doesn't follow the rules properly and they don't listen to the university authorities either.
- The smoking culture of our university isn't a good thing of our college. You can see everything here and their that a student is smoking

The fees s of our university is really very very low compared to other colleges except IT and CSE all other departments costs less than 6000? per year. Only CSE and IT charges 18000-22000 ? per year and that is also very low compared to other colleges. If you have financial issues then you can opt for several scholarship options like SVMCM, Jadavpur University's official scholarship programme and many others

Which one would be better: production in Jadavpur university, power in Jadavpur university, mechanical in Jalpaiguri, or government engineering or mechanical in Kalyani govt. engineering?
Choose the course that interests you, college is a secondary thing. Here are some of the facts that may help you in choosing the right branch for you.
- If you want to work in PSUs or Govt. sectors, it’s better to not choose Production Engineering as there are fewer recruiters.
- Jadavpur is the best college you can get through WBJEE. If you choose Production or Power in JU, you will have good on-campus job opportunities.
- Production Engineering is a branch of Mechanical Engineering itself. The syllabus will be more or less the same.
- Mechanical at Kalyani University will be slightly better than Jalpaiguri. You may not get lucrative job packages at on-campus placement from Kalyani University but in the long run, you will have a much better hold with your Mechanical degree. You can expect well-paid jobs in the future.
Your future will depend on the branch you are choosing so choose according to your interest. All these Universities will offer you enough opportunities and resources to prosper. It’s up to you to use that well.
