Admission:
I choose this college because of it's rigorous syllabus And renowned faculty. Also the closeness from my house. It was a factor in deciding that. The admission process considers half of your board's marks and rest comes from their own examination comprising of maths and logical reasoning.

Admission:
Jadavpur University is one of the most renowned universities in India. I've applied in JNU but couldn't make it there as I didn't have enough preperation. JU conducts entrance exams where the questions are mostly subjective. You have to have 60% in your graduation to apply for admission test in JU. Questions may not seem that difficult if you have a constructive thinking pattern and a good writing habit.

This Is One Of The Reputed College For Diploma Within All Over West Bengal. In Terms Of Government Polytechnic Colleges This Is The Best In Parameters. The Campus Recruitment Provided By The College Is Remarkable. The Course Fees Also Very Lesser.

- The university consists of Engineering, Science and Arts all the faculties combined that gives the huge exposure for a student who has just left their school and want to meet new people to build a good communication skill.
- The techno management fest Srijan organised by engineering faculty and cultural fest Sanskriti organised by all three faculties make the learning curve of a student joyful and not monotonous at all
Dislikes
- As it is a state founded University and very less fees there is a chance that some old buildings have very poor infrastructure and maintenance.
- Due to some political activism and media coverage sometime the campus life gets hampered but the academic is not compromised at all
Admission:
After getting my WBJEE rank my first college allotted was Heritage Institute of Technology. After that I got Kalyani Government Engineering College and University of Calcutta respectively. But Jadavpur University was an obvious choice for me when I got admission into it during its decentralized counselling. In heritage I got Computer Science and Engineering where as in Kalyani I got electrical engineering and in University of Calcutta I got information technology. But all of this colleges placement is not compable with Jadavpur University Civil Engineering at all. Jadavpur University in terms of fees and placement is way ahead then any other colleges that comes under WBJEE. You have to score at least under 3000 rank to get your dream college that is Jadavpur University.

- The faculty is very good and helpful . They are very learned and experienced in their respective fields and have many contacts in the industry .
- The peer group is very good and supportive . They treat each other like a family and always ready to help each other.
Dislikes
- The campus is not very big as it is situated in the main city of kolkata . So , there is not much to explore.
- The gender ratio is very poor . In a class of 150 students , only around 12-15 girls are present.
Admission:
I tried to get admission to other colleges like IITs, NITs, BITS etc. I secured a rank of about 14k in JEE Advanced and 7k in JEE Mains but was not getting a suitable college+branch combination in the IITs and NITs. I secured a rank of 855 in WBJEE and easily got admission in the electrical department at JU. JU ranks 12 in engineering , 9 in universities and 17 in overall category as of NIRF 2024. It is also very good for placements and research opportunities .Also , fee structure is quite less and it is near my house , so was very suitable for me . The admission process was also a smooth one . We has to report at JU with necessary documents and we got a provisonal admission form . After successful fee payment , i got admitted in the electrical department of JU. Most students prefer the CSE or IT department due the high packages. The cutoff of CSE is 150 , IT is 400 , EE 1100 rank as of 2023 in JU based on WBJEE exam . So , it is quite competitive to get admission here.

- It's famous for its return of investment. Actually people says Jadavpur has better ROI than many IITs. You can grab great placement though giving just 12k fees.
- Jadavpur University located at the main kolkata town , so it's accessible for transportation and also we have Jadavpur station that is just beside the university. Also the campus is fully greenery everywhere and calm to visit.
Dislikes
- Honestly saying nothing there to unlike about the university in such a cheap cost and great roi . But our infrastructure isn't too good to compete with the world class universities. There aren't AC in classrooms and the benchs are also old and broken
- You don't get a good girls to boys ratio in the engineering departments . Actually there aren't any kind of reservations for girls in our university. Our sex ratio is up . It's like 10:1 or even much in some branches.
Admission:
Actually I haven't applied for any other college because it's my dream to study here. If I wouldn't get here probably I would take a drop year to prepare better. You will not get any better college with such a great placement in a such negligible fees.

Fees of master of pharmacy course in jadavpur university are very less and placement of Jadavpur University are quite good for different University and college. And campus environment of Jadavpur University are to much cool.

This college is one of the best engineering colleges in the country and it was closer to my home than most which were very important factors that went into my decision making. This college is equally as good as the IITs with regard to curriculum and placements
