- It's famous for its return of investment. Actually people says Jadavpur has better ROI than many IITs. You can grab great placement though giving just 12k fees.
- Jadavpur University located at the main kolkata town , so it's accessible for transportation and also we have Jadavpur station that is just beside the university. Also the campus is fully greenery everywhere and calm to visit.
Dislikes
- Honestly saying nothing there to unlike about the university in such a cheap cost and great roi . But our infrastructure isn't too good to compete with the world class universities. There aren't AC in classrooms and the benchs are also old and broken
- You don't get a good girls to boys ratio in the engineering departments . Actually there aren't any kind of reservations for girls in our university. Our sex ratio is up . It's like 10:1 or even much in some branches.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Jadavpur University is a state funded university, so it's fees is barely negligible. Our four years engineering course overall costs around 12k. Actually we got Jadavpur University through WBJEE exam and it's the top college of wbjee. Also it has a huge amount of home state quota as it's funded by state government. Though the fee is bare minimum our university and govt provides different type of scholarship also. Whose family income is less than 2.5lakhs per annum they get a scholarship named SVMCM of 60k per year. And I don't think there are any case of caste grading for fees due to it's negligible amount. Also our alumni base funds scholarship for needy and meritorious students.

- The experience of the teachers and the way they teach is very proactive and attractive
- The students are very helpful, especially seniors and help out a lot with notes and pyqs

The year wise fees are extremely low and affordable which makes this college a standout place to further your education. The fees are less than 99% of colleges in the country. For an engineering btech degree it is about 10000 per year.

- The fee structure is very affordable and scholarship opportunities are abundant. The authorities are not strict with the timing of fee payment. The infrastructure is comparable to IITs and in some departments even better.
- With the placement scenario sound and favourable for all departments, the return of investment is the highest in the country.Top MNCs come to the campus for placement.
Dislikes
- The hostel lacks good infrastructure albeit the low fees.
- The washrooms in the campus are not well maintained.

Fees and Financial Aid:
The yearly fees is Rs 2500 to be precise. However, they take 5000 during the admission itself. At the commencement of 3rd year they charge Rs2750 and again the same amount at the beginning of 4th year. The caution deposit is 500Rs. The registration fees is 1800. The tuition fees is monthly 500. The lab fees breakup is uneven (different for each semester) However, one can roughly take it as 50 per month. No development fee is charged to the best of my knowledge. This fee structure is valid for general students like me. For quota students, it is the same but the catch is that they receive scholarship of Rs 10000 per year provided by the Alumni Association of the University. Besides students with less than 2.5 lakh annual income can apply for SVMCM scholarship provided by the State Government.No merit certificate is required for any of these as the students have already cleared WBJEE.

- High Return on Investment in the Engineering Branch specially in circuital branch like CSE, IT, IEE, ECE AND EE
- The classes are divided in subsections which enhances the student teacher interaction process.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is a bit old and proper funding is not granted by the State government
- A bit of student politics which divert some students although all those involved in student politics are not bad

The fee is very low for Engineering. Approximately 1200 per semester and economically weaker students and even get Freeships and various scholarships are also available for them. Even they get many campus employment opportunities like paid internship.

- I love this university very much. In the university there are a huge. number of opportunities if one can complete their course properly.
- Specifically in my department there several practical aspects like workshops, laboratories, etc.
Dislikes
- Lack of discipline. It is a very big issue according to me.
- Too much freedom. Which also creats a negative impact on university reputation.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Tuition fees are very low here. Students with lower financial background can easily pursue engineering here. For IT Department the yearly fees are approximately 26000 rupees and for any other department it is only approximately 2600 rupees. You can get many scholarship opportunities such as SVMCM. Currently I am in first year so I don’t know much about placements and internships.But from my seniors I hear that there are numerous Job offers and internships.

- The college is quite good in all of the aspects. Also it is one of the best not only in the state but also in the entire country.
- Our college has an excellent placement facility, most of the students who want a job, get it. Also, a lot of students get into reputed instituions for higher studies
Dislikes
- The classrooms are not well amintained and the equipments are in a depreciating condition
- The clubs and students unions are a breeding ground of political ideologies and rallies

The undergraduate course in Jadavpur university is extremely cheap in the current students, costing only 10000 rupess for the entire duration of 4 years. On top of it, the college also provides tuition fees waiver facility for needy students. One can also avail schoalrship from outside sources if needed.

The course fee is affordable. The total fees for Bachelor of mechanical engineering is around rupees 10,000 to rupees 11,000. The college provides scholarship for financially weak students. In the year 2023, Mechanical Engineering Department recorded a placement percentage of 100 percent. The median CTC was 8 LPA and the average CTC was 8.42 LPA. Mechanical Engineering Department's Highest CTC of 22.75 LPA was offered by a software company - Increff. The highest CTC in the core sector was given by 'Cairn Oil and Gas'. The CTC was 14.1 LPA.
