Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college

Dislikes

Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

A close to ideal college life.

Likes

There is minimum attendance compulsion in the coursework. Students only need to be present in labs, sessional classes. Marks for attendance is negligible for other regular classes. Nearly 1:1 ratio of boys and girls in our department.
In most engineering departments there are more boys than girls. Helpful professors.Good professors and practical curriculum though some years behind the current industry. Good environment, libraries are good.
Wonderful people, big playground, open green spaces, ample greenery, affordable canteen food, vehicle available or PWbD students, carrom and table tennis in union room.

Dislikes

Labs are not always well equipped with supplies, some classrooms are really hot in summer, no non-smoking areas in open places

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, students become eligible for full time placements. In my course, companies like ABinBev, Amul, Adani Wilmar (Fortune), Winkies have given offers for placement of students. Average no. of offers made by a company is 1. Other departments have mass recruiters with average no. of offers like 3-6. In last placement season near about 80% students were placed. Highest package of 15 Lpa, average package of 7-9 Lpa.

Experience of College Life

Likes

The teachers were very good and supportive and were always ready to help.
There were certain portals which were present where we would be able to raise any issues if required.
There were some activities and annual programs organised in which were quite knowledgeable .

Dislikes

Sometimes there were partialties which had a bad impact on some of the people.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course and decided to enter this college because it had a security of providing 99.99 percent plcement after completing the particular course and had also listened about the college and the faculty members. The curriculum prepares really well for the real world applications by providing some webinars from experts and intrepreneures. Some teaching methods which can be improved is that the courses and subjects should be taught more elaborately and in an easier manner. The subject syllabus should be completed in a timely manner so that there is no difficulty for the students to study them and sit for the exams well prepared. If the syllabus is completed only a few days before the exam then it would be really difficult for the students to become well equipped for the exams.

Jadavpur University in a nutshell.

Likes

The greenery of the campus is awesome. beautiful campus with 67acr land (main campus). Gender ratio is better than other engineering colleges.
The amount of freedom students get here is great. no certain restrictions on campus visit and etc. JU run east asia's one of the largest fest, Sanskriti which is also one of the liked event.
JU doesn't has mandatory attendance policy like IITs, that gives students more personal space.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of JU is just decent enough, as a T1 institution it should be more developed.
The campus is very politically active and for that reason many times there is a chaos on the campus.
JU gives year lag those students who didn't attend labs.

Placement Experience:

JU is one of the leading engineering colleges in terms of placements and its highlight is its ROI. The average package for the circuital branch varies between 15-20 LPA and for the non-circuital branch it went 8-12 LPA. every year the highest package crosses 1cr.

JDBI has God level teaching!!

Likes

Not just the faculties but students here are equally supportive as one can run shoulders with seniors with ease.
No form of discrimination based on anything be it caste or religion is ever entertained at the campus.
There are fewer departments and therefore the amount of footage or the attention that we get even from the likes of HOD and Principal is heart warming.

Dislikes

The campus is like the smallest of the smallest as just one building divided in three halves is what we have in terms of campus.

Placements here are really good as even B.Com (Hons) students enjoyed placements worth 10 lakhs or even more sometimes. The big 4 and consulting groups like the Boston Consulting Company and the Bain Capital are some of the big names that comes here for placements.

I liked the awesome campus are of the university. It is very large and spacious and also incorporated with nature.
The professor and teachers ar really great they are very friendly and supportive. They are also very highly qualified
The facility provided by the university also great. This university is very and carry a legacy.the fee is low the placement is very good all the top companies come here for recruitment and package is also very large.

Dislikes

Openness of the campus. Msny students form other colleges come here and spoilt it's environment as no checking is done here.
Jadavpur University is an state government college so the development is comparatively slow like if some renovations is need to be done in the campus then it takes compatitively more time.
No cctv cameras. Like if any thing wrong happens in the campus then there is no proof of what actually happened.

Placement Experience:

From last semester students ar eligible for campus placement. Giant companies like apple samsung facebook google come here and mass recruitment is happens. About 70 to 80 percent students get placement My plan is to go for higher studies.

Unbiased and As far Sure - Take on Jadavpur University

Likes

A rich and vibrant culture full of life,independence and no extra acdaemic pressure.Flexible schedule,ample holidays
Faculties are humble,highly knowledgable and easy to approach
College deeply emphasises on placing each and every student during placements ,not jusat a handful with high packages and internship season in 3rd year is robust.

Dislikes

Only one small canteen ,lack of different game(indoor)facilities,ceratin degree of language issue for non-bengali speakers

Placement Experience:

A robust intern season is there for 3rd year students and many of our students take part in that provided that they had put enough effort in their studies in the past 2 college years and academics . Several of those internees do get a PPO offer after that. Companies like DeShaw , WellsFargo , Salesforce , Texas Instruments, Intuit , JP Morgan and Oracle are some of the big names recruiting each year. FAANG also come every 1 or 2 years but whenver they come the competition is cuthroat for them within the campus obviously . Several students make through these and other big companies like this via off-campus every year . The average salary of CSE and IT is around 21 LPA , in 2022 it was a record high of around 28 LPA . For core it is around 11-15 LPA . About 95% of the students get placed each year , in some core branches like mechanical it reached a record 100% this year . Highest packages in most circuital branches regularly exceed 50 LPA, in branches like IT, CSE and ECE it often exceeds even 1CPA . I have a regular plan of getting placed in a decent company after my degree.

Famous government college of west bengal

The advantage of this university is that this college is very affordable and have a large compus.
It has a huge field for playing ground which provides a good environment and Greenery all around
The faculty is very friendly and always available whenever u need help. And about the cafeteria provides good food with affordable price.

Dislikes

The university is very crowded and the hostel facility is very baad
The canteen good quality is sometimes not good as feedback from students
The university building is very old. And very weak it's should be repaired and renew as fast as possible

The rate of the course curriculum is very good and I have decided to persue this course it's mains focus on the biology and chemistry. The university should start online teaching methods which will very good for many far students who come form different state. The exam difficult of the university is very tough and hard if well prepare for the exams

Likes

The faculty of chemistry is really good. The teachers take the classes very sincerely and provide extra classes when required
The campus is full of greenery. It is mini kolkata within kolkata
The students irrespective of their departments are very helpful and friendly with one another

Dislikes

The washroom needs cleaning. They are dirty and smelly.
The labs need cleaning sometimes. Ju deserves better lab facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus is quite large with respect to the time provided to us for completion of it. The new nep rule is a blessing in disguise. I'm quite enjoying the course that I've chosen for myself. No regrets so far

A Honest Overview

Likes

Students opinion is appreciated by the university
The campus is free and people can wear anything they want which i liked the most
also there are various clubs and co cirricular activites you can participate in instead of only stuying

Dislikes

Too much casual on things like maintainance on thing like cleaning the campus reconstructing it etc
Too much political involvement of the university
Exposure to various unhealthy things as it is easily accessible

Placement Experience:

The placements in ju is has been good over the past years but as the years gradually go by its getting harder to get good paying jobs due to competition as well as less preference by companies so it is decent
