Architecture is a creative that helps me to think something different. That is why I am attracted to the course. The curriculum really well prepare us for the real life works. The curriculum should contain some more realistic approach like having some workshops etc. The exam frequency sometimes feell tough and challenging.

There are many internship opportunities in the college campus which enhances the students quality over time If a student fails to find any company for internship then the college come forward and help those students to get yhe internship.

From last semester students ar eligible for campus placement. Giant companies like apple samsung facebook google come here and mass recruitment is happens. About 70 to 80 percent students get placement My plan is to go for higher studies.

Our admission fee for 1st and 2nd year is total 710 rupees. After that we have to pay again in 3rd year and the amount is about 3000 rupees. Then we have to pay about 4000 rupees for 4rth year and 5th year(architecture us a 5 years courrse). Total course fee for five years is 12000 rupees. Jadavpur University is a state government funded university and the fee structure remains same for a long period of time. In the other courses which are 4 years the admission fees is 710 rupees which also covers the 1st and 2nd year fees for the university. And in 3rd and 4rth year students have to pay about 3500 rupees per year. This fee structure is same for all 4 years courses. And in the case of lateral entry it is also same. There are some scholarship programs also like the full-freeship and half-freeship. These programes allows the students to pay 0 course fee or 50 percent of the course fee. This scholarship are given to students on the basis of their financial condition. There are also some scholarship given by the alumni society of the Jadavpur University. Which give about 25000 rupees to the selected students. And the selection is done by Merit tests. There are no management quota in this university. Also fee structure is same for all castes

There are several festivals are held in the university campus. Like uturn festival is held in year starting and Sanskrit is held during April-May. The range and accessibility of books and journals in the university Library is huge. And all departments have its separate Library. All classroom have digital teaching systems. All kinds of sports facilities are available in the campus and most of them are free. Jadavpur University have all kinds of clubs and all of them are held by students.

I applied in Vellore institute of technology, Calcutta University, iits, nits and Jadavpur University Among them I got chance in Vellore institute of technology and Calcutta University I didn't choose vellore institute of technology because of it's high fee structure and I didn't choose Calcutta University because I liked Jadavpur University more. I didn't get chance in other colleges because I could not able to crack their cut off marks. To get admission Jadavpur University engineering departments students have to appear in West Bengal joint entrance exam. And for other courses some internal courses are held by the University.

The faculty to students ratio is good like in my branch(architecture) there are 2-3, departmental techers and Also 1-2 external facilities for a practical or sessional subject. And for thery subject there are minimum 2 teachers to guide the students. I like my all the faculty members. Because they are very wise and knowledgeable and they are always ready to guide the students to the right way. There are two semesters are held in a year. Each semester have separate theory exam and practical exams. Practical exams also include many internal submissions and viva. For theory 2 class test are held by the respective subject teacher of 30 Marks and their average gained marks is taken In the semester exam a 100 marks exam is conducted by the university for the the theory exams.

There are some gd topics which tells the newly admitted students about the heritage of the University and placement of the university. Along side the Universities facilities provided to the students Also we are introduced about the rules and regulations of the university. The student have to appear i wbjee exam and have to qualify the cutoff to get admission in the university.

There are almost 7-8 canteen and cafeteria are in the university campus. A good Gym is also available for the students having monthly fees of 10 rupees. All libraries are free . Hostel are available for the needful students at very low cost. Canteen and fields are most famous hangout space inside the campus Southcity is a famous hangout space outside campus.
