Course Curriculum Overview

5

the COURSE curiiculum is up to dated and well preapering for on filled works . there are some labs in curriculum taken by underrated proffesors . the subject and the labs placed in such ways that the thory subject will clear your theoritical knowledge and after that the lab is for practical knowledge enhancement.i have no suggestion for improvement because it is improved already.there are on 5 subjects including lab on an avarage in one semester. in which 1-2 subjects are hard. semester duration is 4 months approx.

Internships Opportunities

4

both internship and placement opportunities are very good. avarage package in instrumentation department in JU is 14 lpa approximate. highest package is 58 lpa by DE SHAW. except that APPLE, MICROSOFT,GOOGLE, AMAZON, PWC, EY, ZS, ACCENTURE and many software company hired from here with high package . induatrial or intership opportunities started coming from the start of 3rd year. the intern offers are basically of 2 months or 6 months of duration.

The detailed fees structure is above: Tution : 1800 Admission Fees: 100 Registration: 25 Librarry Deposit: 50 Sports: 100 Lab / workshop fees: 3000 session charges:100 caution deposit: 25 health card: 10 the sum of all this is 5210. the same will be applied for the rest 2 years (3rd and 4th year). but for IT and CSE the fees structure is different . the total amount for 4 year is approx 30000 rs.

Campus Life

5

Campus provides many facilities regarding to sports and physical health also mental health. there are many FEST organised by students which increase the social relationship between students. there is SANSKRITI on of the biggest cultural annual fest and SRIJAN annual tech fest. many students shows their technical innovations by taking part in several competetions in srijan like rimote control car fight, drone making competition etc. there are many clubs like moto club, science club, anime club. students can take part in this as their interest

Hostel Facilities

5

hostel facility is very good . Everyday cleaning facility is there. the menu of the lunch and dinner is fish with rice and chicken with rice on everyday and everynight. also it is very cheap.the quality of the food is very good . but somewhere the bathroom facity is not good the iron pipes got damaged . authority should be careful about it. living in hostel is much affortable then rent or pg in local area

Admission

i actually also got Calcutta University Chemical engineering but it was offered since 2016 . but JU is offering btech from 100 years . so i thought there will be better something in JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY ENGINEEING COURSE. and after admission i got it. the placement opportunity , industrial exposure is much more than any other college undoubtedly

Faculty

4

The Faculty is always take care of their students. the realtionship between faculty and student is also very good. if there will be any issues faculty always looks after it. and the faculty is always working hard to give the best education to the students. there are 8 semesters in 4 years (2 semester in each year). and 2 class test of every subject in a semester whivh marks will be added to the semester marks. the class test marks is 30 and the semester is 70. the grading system: 90-100: S 80-90: A 80-70: B 70-60: C 60-50: D 50-40: E Below 40 marks means X in grade which is fail. the course structure is also good . it keep updated in every 4-5 year with latest subjects. some subjects are there which are hard to pass but no that much hard .

4

nightlife in JU campus is very interesting. there basketball, badminton and volly court where the hostellers and day scholars likely to play at evening time. although the cafeteria and several canteens remains open all over campus where the students meets and start gossiping after day end

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .
